Kitch.................Where can St. Paul residents legitimately dispose of their Christmas trees before next weekend? I can't leave mine for the trash man, I have a hyper sensitive landlady.
* Remove all ornaments, lights and other decorations. Just the tree, please.
    * If you use your waste hauler or city service, ask how your tree will be used. Most will be sent to a landfill or a waste incinerator. There are better options!
    * Ramsey County compost sites (Arden Hills, Frank & Sims, Midway, White Bear Township) will accept trees on Sat. Jan 12, 9-5 and Sun. Jan 13, 11-5. Ramsey County residents only. Free. Trees are taken to District Energy. For more details, call (651) 633-EASY (3279)
    * Resource Recovery Technologies, a private company (630 Malcolm Ave SE, Minneapolis) will accept trees Jan 2-19, Mon-Fri 7-4:30, Sat 8-12:30. Free for Hennepin County residents. A $1.50 charge for all others residents. They are mulching the trees. For more details, call (612) 331-4610.
    * For more options or more information, call your city recycling coordinator or our hotline (651) 222-7678! We're happy to help.
we havn't taken our tree down yet- personally, I really like it and would love to keep it up longer but its dried out. I could find out what it would cost you to put it out with our trash- Im thinking 15 bucks but cant call til Monday.
Icey - I wish I could suspend my morals to ditch the tree. That is something I use to do, trying to be "grown up"now. But, if you want, you could stop by I could donate the tree to your good cause..........
we didn't even put our tree up this year, I just couldn't get in the christmas mood and I figured why put it up when we never get to spend christmas here anyway.
Yeah it would only affect people who are downloading it for the first time. Someone hacked the website and the installer file is loaded with spyware and malware.
We have an artificial tree, but I've heard stories of people in West St. Paul putting a tree on the roof of a car, and driving down Smith St at night.....if ya don't tie them down tight...those trees see all that water and jump for it! :ooh:
Glensheen, aka the historic Congdon estate, is a 7.6-acre, 39-room mansion complete with a landscaped garden that's perched on the shores of Lake Superior in Duluth. It was built in 1905 for the family of Chester Congdon, a lawyer who wanted a home that would reflect the family's English heritage.
The property is modeled after English estates of the early 17th century. The name "Glensheen" is derived from two words: "glen," which means a secluded narrow valley, and "Sheen," the village in Surrey, England, where the Congdon family had its roots.
.
Happy New Year to you too

You'd be surprised
not any better
I have not had any problems with it however that could be because I have had it downloaded for probably 2 years now.
Is this just for new users who download the software? not the people who already have it and are just downloading music.
Thanks kitch, I was gonna load it to my laptop - I'll wait til I know more.
Im sure there is a problem with any free site
1st thing I ask "You wanna plug it in and see if the lights work before we decorate it?"
Penny: "No, it's always worked for me before"
ME: " yea but everytyime I touch lights they dont work"
Penny: "They'll be ok"
We set it up, decorate, plug in. Lights work on only top 1/2 of tree.
I try to replace bulbs, check for loose ones to no avail. We decide to leave it for this year.
3 days later all the lights work without us doing anything.
Think I'll stay out of it from now on...
what does someone say when theres nothing left to say?
