I was 1/2 my current size when I used to dive. And you know what happens if you do a 1/4 or 3/4. Ouch

They had to close and drain the entire pool because of all the blood that spewed from me.

<-- H HAHAHAHAHA

Sorry, dude. that's funny.

Maybe the confusion is between deviated septum and cleft palate? Liquids will come out of the nose with cleft palate until it's repaired.

And as long as we're sharing here. I lost my virginity when a dive went went wrong from a 10 meter platform. :ooh:

I raked my back and smacked the back of my head on a diving board because my feet slipped off the end as I bounced down on it. Never dived again after that.

I have a cousin that was born with a cleft pallet.

That guy doesn't look "afraid"

Hi-o!

Sorry. I've been sick, so the wife's been sleeping in the basement.

It happened at Theodore Wirth Pool during the Mpls Aquatennial, so I had an audience. At the time I was more embarrassed about missing the dive so terribly than anything else. I wasn't supposed to enter the water butt first.

I've done that when messing around on my sisters highchair when we were kids - I hit the metal bar that the tray slides off of :frown: owie! sting!

I was pretty messed up. I ended up needing stitches, and a scar that my obstetrician thought was an episiotomy scar when I went in for my check up during my first pregnancy.

ooooh OT ouch!

don't know if my dr. was a moron OR we had poor health insurance.

I'm just glad I'm not apart of that culture in Africa where they circumcise the woman!

One of the models on the current America's Next Top Model had that procedure done. Crazy stuff.

It wasn't an inward dive. My schnoz smashed my knee while in a tuck as I hit the water at full force and spin. I was knocked out for a brief moment as well. All while I screamed out for my mom to watch me try this new dive I learned.

I did a triple twice earlier in the day with claps from around the pool.

I was also famous for an inward 'aye' dive where you would moon the pool during a dive. - Which way are you facing as you go down during an inward? :sheepish: :sheepish: :sheepish:

Inward dives can be dangerous - you could end up like this!

Hey - I work with that guy!

on an inward you go to the end of the board with your back towards the water, and bend towards the board, so assuming there are no twists, you enter the water facing away from the board. its not nearly as dangerous as a reverse or a back, since those are blind dives.

why when I picture Ares and CM on the diving board I crack up..

Now picture it when one is trying to moon his audience on the way down :ooh: :lipsealed:

It started off innocently enough, but ended up getting me kicked out for two days upon entering the water. :sheepish:

now it all make sense to me...

but I thought it was really hard to light farts when soaking wet from the pool.

I bet he did exactly what "squints" did to Wendy Peffercorn he did "The most desperate thing any of us had ever seen."

Opposite of moon :sheepish:

Mooning would have gotten me kicked out for the rest of the day and given a warning not to do it again. Sunning was automatically 2 days in addition to the current day.

And we went daily as we had seasonal passes

Plus the water must have been cold that day given the comments I received afterwards :sheepish:

George's, formerly Awada's, has a nice banquet room. We've had a couple of groom's dinners there. With enough notice, they will work with you on a menu I think. It's a basement room with a bar and buffet set up.

Famous Dave's in Woodbury has a couple patio/guest areas that work good for 20-40

Kind of a stretch distance-wise - I haven't been to F. Dave's off Robert Street yet to know what they got...

Awada's is on Plato between 52 and Robert St. Oops! I mean George's. Hard to get used to calling it that. Right around the corner from Joseph's. I think George and the Joseph's are related.

And a bit of trivia. One of the Joseph's is related to Casey Jones, Roger Awsumb.
