Tommy woke up and said the tooth fairy didnt come. He was in the bathroom and I said let me go look....Luck for me he took longer in the bathroom and I did a switcheroo...
Told him to look on the floor behind the bed...It just so happens it appeared the money must have "fallen" while he was sleeping....
I had two similar oops with Santa. I learned not to party too hard on X-Mas eve after that. 5AM - "See! I told you to go to sleep early dad. Now he missed our house because you were sleeping on the couch by the tree!"
I had to get her back to sleep and pretend I was asleep for over an hour until I felt it was safe. I was a mess. That had to be one of the longest hours in my life. :eyeroll:
My wife's aunt and uncle are in from out of state - usually we don't see them unless there's a wedding or a funeral. Their daughter is gettin' married in Phoenix this fall, so it's kinda a pre-wedding get together.
They want to get together tonight (March 14) - for pizza at Carbone's in West St. Paul - anyone familiar with that location?
I would like to go but I have to find a ride!! I got BAD BRAKES!!!! and no tabs yet so I am only doing the driveing I have to do back and forth to work!!!!
Apparently my in-laws have a minibus full of people from their church heading downtown - most of us are relatives. Funny thing is, my 1/4 Irish blood is about as strong as it gets with this group of mostly Polish relatives. Don't know where we're going downtown, and if things are fun enough, I probably won't remember afterward either!
I never understood why the hell dealers can upcharge EVERYTHING they have at their shop.
"dealer" paint costs:
Hourly rate of shop time based on book value of said painted item.
+
Pro-rated shop costs (paint, thinner, tape etc.) based on hours above.
+
potentially any remove and install time for a part that would be better not to tape off.
Oh, and sales tax.
Dealers do not charge you extra when you are dealing with the body shop directly. They have to compete with other shops. (I used to paint at Harold Chevrolet) But... I believe that you are thinking of dealer paint that you buy from the salesperson you bought the car from, which is undoubtedly marked up. (I used to sell cars at Wilkins Auto Mall)
I did that with the Tooth Fairy for the last 2 years. But then I asked myself the same question "Am I doing this for me or her" It did buy me enough time to make it to her last tooth anyway.
so you think
says he who lost the last of his back baby teeth at 12 or so.
Just got back from the Bruce Springsteen concert and I can honestly say it was the best concert I have ever seen. He puts so much energy into the 2 1/2 hours that he played. I am so amped up right now! Happy St. Patty's day everyone!!!
That's cool Art. I'm not a big fan of The Boss but do appreciate all the energy he seems to put into his shows after all these years. Very commendable.
I think of Angus Young the same way. They don't need to put that much work into their concerts but still do anyway.

Is that what you call - pizza serendipity?
No.
Oh, I guess I'm 2 days early cuz I keep thinking tomorrow is the 17th...D'oh!!! OK, so I'll be early with the Birthday wishes... :pbpt: :goofy:

It's Monday, March 17, 2008, Happy Birthday!
