Just make sure the serving tray and 'scooper' are NEW, or WAY BEYOND CLEAN before using...
CAKE INGREDIENTS:
1 box spice or German chocolate cake mix
1 box of white cake mix
1 package white sandwich cookies
1 large package vanilla instant pudding mix
A few drops green food coloring
12 small Tootsie Rolls or equivalent
1) Prepare and bake cake mixes, according to directions, in any size pan. Prepare pudding and chill. Crumble cookies in small batches in blender or food processor. Add a few drops of green food coloring to 1 cup of cookie crumbs. Mix with a fork or shake in a jar. Set aside.
2) When cakes are at room temperature, crumble them into a large bowl. Toss with half of the remaining cookie crumbs and enough pudding to make the mixture moist but not soggy. Place liner in litter box and pour in mixture.
3) Unwrap 3 Tootsie Rolls and heat in a microwave until soft and pliable. Shape
the blunt ends into slightly curved points. Repeat with three more rolls. Bury the rolls decoratively in the cake mixture. Sprinkle remaining white cookie crumbs over the mixture, then scatter green crumbs lightly over top.
4) Heat 5 more Tootsie Rolls until almost melted. Scrape them on top of the cake and sprinkle with crumbs from the "litter box". Heat the remaining Tootsie Roll until pliable and hang it over the edge of the box. Place box on a sheet of newspaper and serve with scooper. Enjoy!
Car update: Apparently, part of the problem was that in addition to everything else, the frame was slightly bent!
ARHAG!
Frame has been straightened, second door has been hung, and painted the right color. Working on the flames this week, I should have the car sometime this week.
FINALLY. It's hard to feel good about yourself when your grandmother says "wow that's not a fun car to ride in." Yeah, thanks. I love March.
Gosh Bear... sorry you have had so much trouble with your car :frown: Honestly, nothing like that has ever happened to us before, being on a road that isn't a main one we just don't have a lot of traffic.. they must have been going at a good clip to bend your frame... keeping a lookout for cars around here with new damage... was there any color that scraped off from the car that hit yours? So sorry for all the trouble and expense you have had.
I think given the nature of where the car was and the actual bump, It's probably most likely that your neighbor to the south (or someone who was there) backed out and hit it with a truck bumper. I would bet it was probably some kid with the music jacked up and didn't even realize it. Damn kids.
Re: damages - I did file the police report, but the staff over at CSI: Apple Valley haven't cracked the case yet. In the grand scheme of things, I don't think they're even going to bother. Which sucks even more.
Yeah, it sucks, but I was happy to have been there for you in your time of need, and I'd do it again if asked - but this time I'll probably park in the driveway.
I looked at the angle of where you were parked that night for that same reason bear, that because of the angle I thought it wierd for someone coming down BelAire to of swerved like that.
- wouldn't someone from Jase and Sues driveway have to of backed out? I don't think you were parked far enough back for a neighbor to have done it. not that anyone left before you I think, and not that I want to think that any of our friends did it - just noticed is all.
did anyone leave after I got there and before you left and was possibly parked in their driveway? I think someone did leave after I arrived but I don't know who it was or where they were parked but I do know that there was 1 car in front of you and noone parked on my side of the street when I parked. So, who was that that left just as I walked in to the family room?
Apparently I got a parking ticket in January...got a notice in the mail today that there's a warrant out for my arrest! I never got the ticket on the windshield, though, so maybe some kids were having fun at my expense.
Wierd part was I could pay the fine or go to jail. The fine + the ticket was $39. Wonder if people really go to jail over that kind of stuff.
Now that that's paid off, I'm anxiously waiting for my car to be finished.
I think RB's wheels got towed during the last snow emergency, and he's been making up this 'painting' story all along until he can scratch $250 together to bail out his car. The real nasty illegal parking criminal type!
RB:
It's bad luck to have a ship w/o a name or a sponsor (godmother)... Have you ever christened a name to your car?
nah, rex's kids are all growed up and married, but come home a lot. where you were they'd have had to make a really wide turn out of the driveway to get there.
Does anyone in here browse (lurk) in some of the other threads?
I just re-set the whole board marked as 'read' less than three days ago.
Daisy's "Arts and Literature" thread is already at 299 messages - good gravy train! Are they turning their message board into a chat room? There absolutely no way to keep up with that kind of volume.
and to all the March BD's
Yup - it's real - edible, that is!
