Funny how they try and seamlessly show only a slight increase in price for the solid countertops... Showing the laminate being sold by linear foot, right next to the solid sold by square foot.
Um, if you check your grammar - "alot" should really be TWO words, not one. "a lot"
That's probably the #1 most butchered style "rule" in the English language. You're definitely not alone. I see it all the time. I had a hard-ass Journalism professor in College that would flunk a paper if it had ANY spelling errors - and I mean ANY. "Alot" cost "a lot" of good grades.
The only reason I ever remember that, is because of a kickass english teacher I had in highschool.....
He would go outta his way, to make sure that we were having fun.... but yet still learning stuff...
one day, he came into the room, at the start of class, all super energized, and yelled "WHO WANTS TO LEARN SOMETHING NEW!?!?!?!?"
we all were just like.... uh... whatever, dude?
"REALLY! IM GOING TO TEACH YOU ALL SOMETHING THAT YOU'LL NEVER EVER FORGET!!!!"
and with that, he proceeded to do a buncha cart-wheels around the room, and out of the door, and into the hallway - the whole time screaming - "A LOT IS TWO WORDS!!! A LOT IS TWO WORDS!!!!"
So... I was just reading this interesting fact thing about dalmations...
It said that dalmations are linked to firehouses, because they are very compatible with horses, and when firemen used horse-drawn fire engines, the dalmations were trained to run infront of the carriages, to help clear a path, and quickly guide the horses and firefighters to the fires....
I always thought it was because they kinda look like burn victims....
Hope all is well in the land of CC  slogging some - sorry to hear about the loss of TC's Dad and Jakes Grandpa, Winnebago Bill and others I havent seen yet....sorry I didn'g get ahold of you Brad on your anniversary of sorts...thought about you all memorial day weekend tho - was a sad but fun trip down to santa daves funeral a year ago. Memories we will all cherish forever....
and if anyone needs a spell check it is me  not germy
I was going to do a cool post like that with a picture relating to "randy" and then one relating to "rust" and then like an iceberg or something... but I did an image search for Randy and had to stop. sorry.
say, if anyone is curious about what i'm doing with the coolercrew site, check out the test-pad. tell me what you like, what you don't like, etc. be honest. be blunt. the theme of the place is still a work in progress, and i'm not sure how well the old vertical bars on the side fit in with the default drupal theme across the top. at the moment i've imported the content of the site and all of the pioneer press stories i had in the existing site into the new format. i haven't got the medallion hunt stuff and the pf archive stuff pulled into the new site yet. the archive stuff is definitely going to require a new module for drupal, and although i could just dump the clues into the database as flat text, i'd just as soon create a module for those as well.
at any rate, play around with it, and let me know what you think.
oh and the best part: anyone can submit a story up to the front page.
I just honestly don't know where I'd get the time to.
my fence blew done last nite..
Happy Fathers Project Day anyway.
I can relate. We just went out and spent $3400 on new kitchen cabinets.
