If I may be frank, we as a group, because of different personalities, flat out suck at deciding on anything
it has nothing to do with different personalities. its a problem that any large group of people have. that's why we have 535 people making decisions on a national level, and getting them to agree on something is hard.
If you'd like to add your opinion into the discussion, sure, answer the question. But usually when someone doesn't answer me three times I get the point. I'm funny that way.
I'm sorry if people feel this is over, but I haven't had the chance for a while tonight to post. Some people are arguing that he shouldn't be banned because what happened was in private. By saying that, are we condoning that we can terrorize and harass each other by doing whatever the hell we want in egrams? The system operators have chosen not to ban him because they feel that it would not accomplish things because he would just come back. Yet can't we decide on our own level what we want in our community?
I also feel that someone can harass someone in plain sight, and not have others realize it. What Nick did was harass her and terrorize her. He changed her greatly. And she has great, fearful emotion at the sight and thought of him. He can affect her just by being somewhere. She's stopped going to things like concerts because of the possibility of him being there. Why does she have to be violated and terrorized in a place she wanted to be and was with friends, yet she has to change her habits when she's the victim? "Oh, I'm sorry this happened to you. Just deal with it." She's stopped going to certain events because of the possibility of him being there. That's how he can harass her. He can control what she does, he can cause her pain just by posting something, whether it be about how his life is bad, or going to a concert, whatever. So I feel that he can harass her in public. It's like thumbing your nose at the person saying "I'm doing this to you and you can't do anything to me. I can't be stopped and I can't be hurt."
Also, I would like to say to Tim that you said that you knew what was going on, but you had no idea what all was going on. You don't know what Nick sent to us, you don't know what happened to us out of this. You don't know the emotions that have been felt by us. So I don't feel that you can truly know what was going on.
And I think it's a good question. If Nick is a liar and has problems, what answers do you expect to get from him?
From someone who has known Nick for quite some time and has caught him in one too many lies, I can vouch and say that YES he is a liar, a major one at that. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but once it was finally proven, I stopped.

nick will leave her alone now, hopefully. but she will still have pain and anguish. only time can fix that. he can control what he does, true, but she shouldn't stop living because this extraordinarily unfortunate thing happened. sometimes the best defense is not defending at all, but to simply keep on going. i hope she finds peace when things dissipate.
I do too.. but I know EXACTLY how she feels. I was harassed by an ex-boyfriend myself, I shared this with Coco, and I'm completely comfortable with sharing it with the rest of you, anyways, it was to the point to when he finally DID catch me out, he beat me, to a bloody pulp, to the point where I spent almost 2 months in the hospital re-couping... so yeah, I can most definately see where she's coming from. It's hard to get over things, and some people get over things faster than others.
We tried to take care of it from within. We gave him the chance to end it. Now it's all out in the open. I don't have a problem with letting everyone know what has gone on, so that you all can make an informed decision. I didn't expect people to know everything. I just took exception to Tim saying that he knew all that was going on.
I don't mean this to sound harsh, but she has been dealing with it. It has helped greatly getting more control of her life, more control over the situation with him. She is keeping on going, but I think that it would help if he was banned.
I would hope all of you think of things from her perspective. Think of if this was happening to you. And the person who was doing this to you was able to just go on like nothing happened, when that person totally messed with your life. I hope nobody has to go through what we went through. But I think if you stood in her shoes, you would see things much differently.

This is an issue between you guys and Nick, if other people have issues with Nick because he sent you an egram, speak up and state why he should be banned in reference to those egrams, otherwise the main players are cocorosie and nick in my mind.

Her seeing him post upsets her, I get that too.
That's not grounds for banning someone, in my opinion.
What I don't get is why you guys would want to bring us into the issue, after it was seemingly over (if the harrasment has stopped). Was it not enough that he stopped harrasing you? I honestly don't get it.

So you're saying that harassment in private of people is fine? That it is acceptable? As far as getting you guys involved, the authorities felt that it was good that you guys were aware of what the situation was. We don't want this to happen to someone else. We felt that because of his actions on this forum, that consequences were merited for his actions. We took it up with the moderators.

if you read one of my earlier posts, tim, i already have. several of us have received egrams from exodus and/or shaggy, which we now know came from nick. so much as you want to pretend that it doesn't affect anyone other than nick and coco, the reality is that it does.
exodus and shaggy also made inappropriate posts here. news flash, they were also nick. those posts were removed within minutes of appearing, ex and shag were banned and no one had a problem with that.

If someone doesn't know whats going on then they can't know to the extreme that you know that he is a liar and has these problems.

I don't think it's fine to harass anyone. I also believe that none of this should have made it this far.
