I wish we had one of those smilies that has little arms that it holds up and a look on its face like it has no clue. Too bad I can't sketch what I'm talking about here. But I think I'd get a lot of use out of that little guy.
Tuesday night a group from around work are going out to send me off with a hang over. I plan on not drinking so I don't make a fool of myself on the first day.
very difficult to be hung over if drink you do not. i've got a friend who just shiped a friend of his off to iraq. they all knew this friend of mine doesn't drink. and apparently he ended up with quite the hangover the next morning from it
well surprisingly those rules come off a board that discusses politics and religion (the two biggest fights ever) and oddly enough I am one of the oldest people to read the board.
They don't fight, they discuss in a very open and direct manner and respect each others thoughts. When it comes down to a point of contention and neither can budge - they decided to agree to disagree and move on.

It is TC. That is part of the reason I agreed to be part of it. They are mostly younger kids in college but some are as young as HS. I think some of them use the discussions as primer for debates and classes etc.
I am sort of there to play devils advocate to some of their ideas and (I can't believe I will admit this) put an *older persons* spin on things for them.
well, then there are those who come back when there's something huge that certain people want to discuss; otherwise they're off in neverland somewhere.
Sad.... that isn't why a lot of us hang out here... the fighting goes so far over the top... If people can get along based on religious differences it is pretty lame that we can't keep civility in an argument. And contrary to popular belief... people do not have to like each other to behave with respect. There is a common code of conduct... do unto others, if you will... that would benefit this place greatly imho
The problem is that some people think they have a place in MY life to tell me how to act, how to post, where to post, who can be my friends, how I'm allowed to speak to my friends and with what manner of media I do these things.
I wonder if anyone from the other forums ever comes here just to be entertained? :pbpt:
I spend ALOT of time over at Atlantic Refugees but never post. I like their Books and Literature and Film and Television threads. But I'm afraid to post because I don't read Tolstoy and might get teased for my semi-pedestrian taste in literature. :pbpt:
not at all. i could care less that you guys have the breakfast club. what i'm talking about is the people who show up, spout off about administrativa, and leave. when they're not showing a general interest in what's going on when there isn't anything administrativa-esuqe to discuss.
have i told you that you can't have your club, your private threads? have i dictated who can be your friends? as i've said elsewhere, at least you, tim, and thx can be credited with spending a shitload of time in here. i can't say the same about some of the others who bitched about administrativa.
No, you haven't told me I wasn't allowed to have or not have a private thread. Not that it matters since this is a public forum.
But why does it matter where another cooler spends their time? Why does it matter if they don't post in the threads provided in the cooler?
Some people in here have 3000 posts while others have less then 200. Does that mean they are any less a cooler then someone else? What about the coolers who aren't even here and won't be here till hunt time. Most of which will be starting with zero posts to Kitchs 10,000.
People are here after all because they love the hunt.
Isn't that the point of what the cooler crew is about?
Private people from all over the place who have one common love.
Bwaaah!
You mean this guy?
You're killing me. Especially when I saw who posted that.

It's all about THX.
I steal my taglines, and I just make up most of my posts....
sometimes I find myself just skimming the posts reading the taglines.
All this time and it was just my stolen taglines that enticed you!
<---- not dumb blonde - just dumb sometimes.
No one should be telling me any of this.

I don't care.
I'll catch you folks later.
