ESD - I would look at that letter as very positive.  Who would take that kind of time with that reply if they didn't see any potential.  And it wasn't a form letter either. Good Luck!  Start plugging away buddy.

I have the first of many interviews for a position on managing the Centennial Lakes Office Park in Edina tomorrow.  Wish me luck.  It sounds like a pretty nice place.  I'm gonna head down there tonight after work and check it out.  The pay would be much better than where I'm at now but not even close to covering the wife's job.  Hopefully this hard time will have a nice payoff.  I know I'm crossing my fingers and toes.

first off ESD- I read the whole letter- not bad advice. 2ndly-you better stick with art since you can not add hahaha you salvaged 11 therefor you need only make 79 more NOT 89 -but if you are making extra than by all means :)

ESD!!  That's way cooler that anyone would take the time to give advice like he did.  I'm glad you're taking that to heart and working on it.  He obviously sees the talent you have and has some practical advice to boot.  I would send him a nice thank you note while you're at it.  Not many folks take that time and being he's in the business, he should know of what he speaks. 

We heard from our son this evening.  He got back to his site without incident and that's saying something in that land of great beauty and crime.  His house is even still in one piece.  Often, if he's away for a weekend or a few days for work at the office, someone has ripped off his plumbing or wrecked his fence or some such nonsense.  This time they left it alone.  He was sure he'd have some repairs to do. He's a happy camper and we're breathing a little easier knowing he managed to get there without being held up.

You can throw those old rags into a box.  This one is better (of course), all the *mistakes* have been corrected too.  Took me two and a half months of grueling no-sleep work to get this one to pass the quality test.

Oh and not to jinx myself but today is my fist day of sobriety until the hunt or later if I can make it. I don't want to set my goal too high.  I want to still be able to drink at special events if I want to. Just not as often as I do now.  I'm getting too fat and too poor to keep up this pace.

I completely agree. If art is anything like publishing (and I have no idea if that's a fair comparison) then this is very encouraging.

If you need ideas for stuff, have you ever done any hockey art? Do something in Gopher colors and I might even want to buy it!

I need a new one also map guy :) I ended up stapling some of the pges together last year so I wouldn't lose them :) but I will not be throwing it away cuz it is a signed copy :)
