I hate that mall. We've dubbed it the BFM.

Heard from Brenda. They were in South Caroline two hours ago. At least she has someone to share the driving with on the way back. They figure they'll be back here tomorrow night later.

Friday the son flies in from Lansing for the weekend. This house will be full up!

considering that's about a 30 hour trip even by greyhound, sharing the driving is a good thing. you do have a busy weekend, don't you, terry?

well, i'm off to bed. nite 'heads.

Goodnight, Ares!

I'm just soo glad she's sharing the driving coming back. She went down to Miami alone. Scared me crazy.

orca! how'd the snarkful one happen to find the cooler crew refuge?

Well, you told Meg about it a while ago, so I've been looking in from time to time to see what's up. I'm really jealous about yer dang aurorae, too.

as for the mall, if you think its big now, they're planning on doubling its size

Why? Are they planning to land a 747 in it?

In my nightmares it's a fully contained prison society, and its well on its way there. They've got a school, a daycare, a clinic, a police station, and from what I've heard they plan on having hotels and apartment buildings connected. What a joy, to live and work and never have to leave the compond :{

For the record, I like the Mall of America. But then again I've always liked big gaudy things.

Drinking on the 4th floor, while expensive, can be fun.

actually i think it was sorcha who asked if she and meg could cross-polinate here. and that's what you get for living south of minnesota :)

Why? Are they planning to land a 747 in it?

no need. the airport is right across the freeway.

artemis, that thought is just plain scary!

I suppose they could add on a huge sports complex. Then the University in the mall could have a sports program and go into Div. I or Div. III. Get the Twins to play there, lure the Vikings there to play. Maybe add a theater so they can attract musical artists, as well has have a theater troop called "The Megamall Players". Add on various child cares, for those staying in the hotels, living in the apartments, working in the mall, or shopping in the mall. Add a hospital wing, so that when your wife is in labor, you can go to the food court to enjoy a smoothie. You could buy an outfit for the newborn saying "I was born at the Mall of America!". You have to put a grocery store in there. Perhaps a Super-Duper Wal-Mart. One with an automotive section. That way you have choice between Sears and Wal-Mart on where to take your car. Hmm, I'll have to ponder what else there would be. I'll get back to you guys on it.

they already had the sports complex there. then they moved it all into minneapolis :)

Apparently it isn't doing well there though, at least according to Bud and Red.

Geesh, you guys were busy-bees gabbing last night-I say DITTO to everything above in the last 10 posts about the MOA! except...

That way you have choice between Sears and Wal-Mart on where to take your car.

You won't need a car if you live there. But if you are a guy and HAVE to have a car, then they would need garages somewhere!

There would either be a ton of transportation congestion (which then they would all die from carbon monoxides) OReveryone would be so darned thin from walking everywhere!

I happen to like the mall. I love to dine in nice restaurants-try the Odessey-it gets the GREEN M&M :)

Then it would become one great big cemetary

and this is different from how things are between 24th and 77 right now, how?

<edit>

Then it would become one great big cemetary

nope. that's across the freeway too.

Kids, if there was a hospital to be born in, all we'd need is a funeral home. 'Cuz you can already be married there. Birth to death in the mega-mall.

Birth to death in the mega-mall.

scary thought. i'm sure my sister would be thrilled by the concept though.

Hey Ian, Scribe don't get online much these days. She does it in spurts. She's just been busy and hasn't had the time. Plus, she's not addicted like most of us. I don't even bother sending her e-mails these days because she never gets them.

THX 1138

Scribe isn't a "Matchmaker" but, if she knows two people that she thinks will get along, she'll try to hook them up.
