It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
green, you are an idiot. where do you get off telling other people that they are not entitled to information just because they are reading the internet? you are the slog.you will never find this thing, and you`re family will never find it. you would have a better chance if you spent more time using your big head, instead of insulting people trying desperatly to act smart. obviously you are not any closer than everyone else because you`re on the internet like us.
I like the pigs eye idea.. a new park.. a look over the map.. looks like hwy 61.. then you need to find red rock road.. its look like right before 494.... then circle back to Pigs Eye Park....anyone else agree Pigs Eye could be the place this year....
hey there. I have been to that cooler crew website, but it did not help me.... Last year, there was a site where you could read all of the clues from every single year that the medallion was hidden. Does anyone know where that might be located this year?

I recently moved to St. Paul from the East coast and have become quite enamered with your Hunt, and have become a first year hunter!!!
I've noticed something in the clues and since I am new to the area, I thought I would share my thoughts with all of you in hopes that together we can figure this out!
The first letters of each line in clue #1 are "T I B L A S F W"
I belive they represent an anagram!!!
"Walfsbit" Arthur J. Walfsbit to be exact!!!
If anyone knows, he is the founder of the "Wall Street Journal" which is the newspaper with the largest circulation in the world!
I thought this might be a coincidence!!! However, following a hunch a browsed through the last few editions!!!
Clue #2 Monday: The word "nil" is in the Headlines!!
Clue #3 Tuesday: The word "adorn" is in the Headlines!!!
Clue #4 Wednesday: The word "Iconoclast" is in the Headlines!!
I thought the first two could easily be a coincidence, but "Iconoclast" give me a break!!!
I do not know anything about local parks so if someone would look through their last three days WSJ's and see if there is a local reference and post your response I would appreciate it!!!
Wall street man- in 1997 the first letter's of each clue spelled out "COMO IT IS NOT" by going into the middle of the clue I think you are going a little far.
The interactive website is not an all inclusive site. You actually need to subscribe to the wsj site to receive a full electronic edition . Take a look at the hard copy
Right now all signs lead to Newell Park...each clue fits references to this park and none omits it, so this is the best bet at the current time. I'll be out there at midnight tonight with my lantern and spade.
I've just joined in the conversation ... but been reading all the posts. Also searched last year. I'm thinking Newell, it's unlikely I know but they spelled it out !! Come on!
anyone read my post #4358 in which i gave quite a few nearly concrete items leading to highland??? i can add more too... the highlanders were iconclasts... by digging in highland we would in a sense be highlanders... "if you're willing to be an iconoclast"
Hey fridge, I think I stirred up a few people earlier this afternoon. Anyway, I believe iconoclast doesn't refer to anything specific other than a specific location within the park
I know it's not in Milwaukee someone keeps changing my name
did any one think that the numbers may be leading to KSTP radio 94.5 and it is there 25th year there -- Past to present-- where can you see there tower from. K G I don't think @ Newell!!!
Merriam Park was the original site for the present state capitol building. (found in St Paul Parks: A treasure hunters guide), there's a good sledding hill, a golf course nearby,....i'm not sure about addresses in the area. But who was St. Anthony? St. Anthony Ave is near that park.
Martin Luther King Park (someone was talking about MLK earlier today) is the home of the Penumbra Theater...."scene"? and is right off of interstate 94. Certainly MLK could probably be considered an iconoclast in the "rebel" sense of the word.
I drove around Linwood Park ("nil") today and noticed that you can see a sign for hwy 5, there is a 4 way stop directly infront of the recreation center...I think its located in the 890s of St. Clair, you can probably get some airport traffic, it sits on the side of a hill so there must be some downhill fun nearby...there is a basketball court, tennis court, and a composting site down the road.
After my day of driving around and trips to the library, I'm totally confused. I was so sure it was NP or Highland...now i'm not so sure...i even drove by the govenor's mansion to see what the number was...800s....plus i was wondering if the blvd extended down that far...it doesn't. certainly summitt avenue could handle a couple hundred people scouring the parkway?....but the neighbors would probably raise Heck....hmmm just a thought. is the govenor's office a 4 year term? I also wondered about the idea that the medallion would be connected to something Jesse....I would be surprised if this whole hunt is Jesse-free.
I think iconoclast in todays clue means cherokee. cuz like what do we hunters hold granted based on no proof? that it wont repeat parks 2 years in a row. and studying the past tells us that. so how about cherokee after looking at todays clue?
I do have it pinpointed to a certain area, now all I need to do is battle the snow and freezing rain which has made walking around the snow tough. This is my 17th year looking for this treasure, I was within 10feet of the winner in 89'.
Wasn't it just at HP 2 years ago?

how does clue no. 1 suggest newell
was it nine minuets to five?

has anyone noticed that 51 and 5 basically triangulate the borders of highland park??? i'd say that may count as adorning the front door....
and the 4+shout = "fore" = there IS a golf course at the park we are searching for....
and 9+numbers keep core=innings in a baseball game, of which there are fields at highland...
just noticed a street called Rankin leading to higland park... rankin=ranking="numbers keep score"????
not to mention Homer St... another baseball reference.. (and an indirect reference to my picture!!!)
1998's "Shovel Boy"
hey there. I have been to that cooler crew website, but it did not help me.... Last year, there was a site where you could read all of the clues from every single year that the medallion was hidden. Does anyone know where that might be located this year?
20 minutes + of broken water cooler again.

I thought KG already had it pinpointed ??
iconoclast is a throw away ... it's all about the first two lines ...
K G its not newell

Hey everyone...
just a few factoids from some research i did:
Merriam Park was the original site for the present state capitol building. (found in St Paul Parks: A treasure hunters guide), there's a good sledding hill, a golf course nearby,....i'm not sure about addresses in the area. But who was St. Anthony? St. Anthony Ave is near that park.

just my 2 cents.
Me and the Medallion Mobile
I think iconoclast in todays clue means cherokee. cuz like what do we hunters hold granted based on no proof? that it wont repeat parks 2 years in a row. and studying the past tells us that. so how about cherokee after looking at todays clue?
and its not highland becuse highland also has a golf course and the first clue says its not there.
Me and the Medallion Mobile
oh and iconoclast means someone who goes against what people beleave based on no proof and faith alone.
I do have it pinpointed to a certain area, now all I need to do is battle the snow and freezing rain which has made walking around the snow tough. This is my 17th year looking for this treasure, I was within 10feet of the winner in 89'.
Yeah KG, I was regalman
have a very good hunch and everything fits in and the hunch is not newell
read #4358 and #4381 of my posts
Me and the Medallion Mobile
actually the first clue says not to look at a course. not the park that could be next to the course.
floyd... the highland park golf course is SEPARATED from the park by a road.... it means to stay in the park itself...!!!
Floyd, where is it
Sorry about that regalman!!
Of course, WW! It is in THE EXACT SAME SPOT AS LAST YEAR!!! RUN!!!!!
Me and the Medallion Mobile
does anyone think anything about what i mentioned about todays "mystery word" iconoclast
yeah floyd what's the deal???
