Too, last year at Chair-O-Key, the cops let us park EVERYWHERE. Not matter if it said "No Parking" or not. Think if we don't block Wheelock Pkwy, we should bee fine - I mean if we park in "No Parking" zones on the residentual streets.

I have to give the St. Paul Men In Blue a big hand. They took everything instride last year (my first year) and were so nice. Never got ruffled, never ticketed an illegal parker, nuttin'. They were so smooth, cool and great.

Think the same will hold true if folks turn out at Phalen. Too, has ANYONE tried to open the gates - GENTLY, NOT FORCE!!! - to see if they're unlocked? Like, maybee they'd just swing open... But, too, they may be locked as the Med may not bee hidden anywhere up by the Club House and over down to the lake.

Is there a glue...strong glue that has those numbers on it?

A calculator would be good too!

Maybe a picture of a front door with the address....who knows.

Malicious Mals

Thats accurate!! The gates get locked at eleven and have been each night!!!

If you try to make ALL the clues fit the park, then what's the clue to the container? Earlier this afternoon someone posted the history of WHICH clue was the container clue. The average : Clue 2.5

I LOVE the idea of the snowblower...

Bet ittiz Bee...

Since Phalen has always locked the gates at 11:00 p.m.... Why deviate from that? Would that NOT be like the BIGGEST dead give away???

There is about 4 things that tie that clue to Phalen

Wed, 01/27/1999 - 6:12 PM Permalink
Phillip Diskerud

Then if that is the case Green it should not be at Phalen because it is not open to all.

Wed, 01/27/1999 - 6:13 PM Permalink

Why isnt Phalen open to all?

I was determinrd it was Phalen too--it says stay off the golf course and the sledding hill is in maplewood....

Ok, sorry the part behind the gates is not open to all.. if they lock it at 11 how can it be open to all? I know it does not say all the time it is open to all but that would hurt the night diggers if it was not open.

Phalen story i thought last night i found the right place... there is a softball field #5 there is an intersection a house on the corner of an address is 940 spent an hour digging and that was after the locals in the area dug it throughly.. it is a huge area to hide the medallion ... however can someone tie the 4th clue to Phalen

Wed, 01/27/1999 - 6:16 PM Permalink

Life, you're rite... But in *some* years ittiz been later. You can take a titch from years past - the clues, where what happened - but each year is a new year. And there is NO guarantee the clues will follow form. Each clue must be taken as an entity, and combined with those that follow - with a sharp, hesitant eye to past years...

If we had a light weight fight "Med Meets 'Blower!!!" I'd put my money on The Med. Would TKO that 'blower in a heart beat!!! LOL!!!

Phil, no one ever said any part of the *park* was open to all - READ! Just said the *hunt* is open to all. Too, you can still get in there, but gotta walk. Just can't drive in. Nowhere does it say that parking will bee provided for all!!! <g>

Studying the past can be quite a blast , but there's value as well in the new if you're willing to be an iconoclast the treasure might belong to you

take the new + well and look what park u got.

My bad Findor, 4 things to Newell One is very strong

At this point I do not want to disclose, but I will give you a hint it has something to do with waves!!!

Also, the park gates to Hidden Falls were locked the forst three nights of the year it was hidden there. Then mysteriosly on the forth night we found them open!!!

Somebody please explain Iconoclast and its relevance to the hunt.

I was tying clue 4 with the past being the old Ice Palace that was at Phalen and the new being the Palace that is going to be built there next year. Iconoclast being the one to break threw the gates first to get there? Maybe Just a thought.

Play a fun game with your friends. Pick a year in the past. Make sure it is a year which you do NOT know the answer. Have a friend read the first four clues to you. Can you narrow it down to just ONE park? Was it right? Patience, Digger-son, patience.

Look, I'm going to say something, at the risk of irritating you Johnny-come-latelys that are looking for... Gods, I don't know what!

If you have a question, and you're not being answered, I suggest you slog previous posts. Obviously, your question has been answered about 500 times (in 500 different ways, from about 40 different mind-sets), and WE - WHO HAVE READ EVERY SINGLE POST - are tired of reading your questions, and answering them because you're too lazy to do a little work.

I'm willing to help anyone, but not some sluggard that just pops in here and asks, "WHERE do YOU think ittiz?" I've SAID where I think ittiz, and MORE IMPORTANTLY - IN PREVIOUS POSTS I'VE SAID WHY!!! I'm not gonna repeat myself.

#@at and on to other ideas.

Now you guys got an idea why many of the long-time Diggers are not seen all that often here. We're not gonna spoon feed this stuff to you. You either noodle/think/ponder/dig and contribute - and SLOG - or you loose our input.

Redundantcy bothers us. Yes, it really bothers us... <g>
