Martin Luther, and Martin Luther King are not the only iconoclasts in the world. I like Newell for the "well...new" play on words. But only for that reason. "A-lost-coin" doesn't get us anywhere, especially when there's an extra c. Somebody tell me about the 9,5 and sometimes a four?

Has anyone heard about Newell Park down in Highland area? There is a listing for it in St Paul Parks directory. It flanks Ford Pkwy and Highland Golf course. Is this a real park/alternative to the one by the Saints stadium?

the 9 and 5 are the address on the corner of taylor and fairview...895....... and the 4 means either the 4 pillars on the pavillion or the 4 way stop on the corner

Wed, 01/27/1999 - 3:29 PM Permalink
Birdie15

9+5+4= 18 What is across the street from NP. Trucks, all kinds of trucks. Big semis. Like 18 wheelers. Wheeler St.?

I saw earlier that there is something by np that advertises ks95. this would explain the 9 and the 5, the hidden 4 would be the 94.5.

newell, pierce butler and wheelock are all historical figures from st paul around 1850..roughly 150 years ago..source web page given in an earlier post.....sitting back and cutting some cheese--ahh cheddar

Birdie15

I feel the 954 is trying to line us up with the hiddin spot. Like if you are at the hiding spot a 9 a 5 and a 4 will be visible. Where this is I have no clue

Wed, 01/27/1999 - 3:35 PM Permalink
Birdie15

Another thing. Remember clue #4 last year. The words demo and mode were anograms. Iconoclast could be a lost coin and what that is sayin is that ICONOCLAST means absolutely nothin

Depending on if that directory is by addresss or not you may come up with 900 N Fairview - Newell Park or 900 S Fairview - Just west of Highland Park

Don't know if this helps.

Wed, 01/27/1999 - 3:38 PM Permalink

Iconoclast can not be "A Lost Coin" the phrase is missing a "c".

Why does everyone keep bringing up president taylor. So what if he was president 150 years ago. That doesn't mean much right now based on the clues.

Cammando WAyne

Blast = what then Civil war was in the 1860 1999 1860 140

I begaining to wonder Iconoclast is to put you beleif in place of the commond beleifs something fourth wright, a change for the better even though some people would say there is nothing wrong with how things are right now make any sence to you guy????

think the medallion i sin a cigar box with the number 495.....

Wed, 01/27/1999 - 3:42 PM Permalink

Iconoclast - may refer to the Highlanders of Scotland (remember the movie Braveheart)

Also, ironically enough if you search for Highland Park one listing is of a city surrounded by Detroit, MI which grew dramatically after Henry Ford established his automobile factory there in 1909.

Just something I dug up.

Cammando Wayne

Some say that's Jesse Ventura?

Don't know how that fits, unless it is hidden on the Capitol Plaza or whatever that area south of the Cap is called.

If you're willing to be an "Iconoclast" - "a breaker of images or statues". I THINK this may have to do with what the medallion is in (ie; a piece of pottery, statuette, etc.) - emphasis on if you "treasure hunter" are willing to be a breaker of images / a destroyer. Of course this is a dangerous assumpltion - making me think to trade my shovel for a sledge hammer.
