Green, I wrote them now I just have to sit back and wait to see what they do or don't do. My guess is they don't even read it.

Bronco Fan--no but midway stadium is very close to the park....

Hmmm. I don't suppose you can see the FRONT DOOR of the stadium from anywhere in Newell?

Newell was a guy noted for developing "logical thinking" for computers back in the 50's

Bronco---I dont think "scoreboard" or a "door" have anything to do with it....I think it's way too obvious. I think those were put there to make people think that....

Kathy--where did you find info about Newell???

P.S. was it 1952 by the way?

Phillip, they're not like that. They WILL read it. You may never get an answer, you may get one in 3 minutes, you may get one in three days, you may get one in 3 hours; they may post here.

But I've delt with MomPress/Planet for a year now. And trust me!!! LOL!!! They read the important stuff!!! Oh, my! Yes they do!

What happened to the guy who was in charge of the Cooler? I can't remember if his name was Charlie or what. He would pop in from time to time....

I've decided that I'm not going to read through the slack of the overnight. So I'll ask everyone here to fill me in on the consensus! Please? :)

ok, I just want some answers from them... and if they read it makes me feel better that they know there is a problem and they need to fix it.

So....anybody got it pinpointed yet?? I didn't think so!

Matt - Most people have decided between Highland, Phalen, and Newell.

But no one is 10k richer yet, so why take our work for it?

Our Dear Nightwatch Man, Casey Trauer, left MomPlanet for green pastures in Canada... We miss his ugly, smiling mug, and his dry wit much. However, we wished him the best and sent him on his way with a kiss and a prayer for even greater successes.

Eric is now our Nightwatch Man - I believe. He has not had as much time to ease into the position as what Casey did... Think he's too busy dealing with deleting posts and keeping things clean around here. Good guy, but I think terribly overwhelmed at the moment. Anything we can do - i.e., patrol this place/language ourselves, will help him, plus maybee keep that damn 'Crossing from going down.

think crossing going down is from all the use the server is getting all of the sudden...behold the power of cheese

Ahh yes, Casey. Don't know if anybody would be able to replace him. Nothing against Eric, but Casey was great. Yeah, it would be nice to keep those who swear or give the false "The medallion has been found" claims...

Phillip, The St. Paul PioneerPress and their offshoot - their Web site, The PioneerPlanet - are VERY interested in feed back regarding the various Coolers. Your message will be read, discussed with those in the loop, and acted upon. But you may never hear back from them. I speak from xperience! LOL!!!

Funny question does any know if you find the Medallion if you get to keep it?

Life, that was a GREAT wittisim!!! Good job!

I think the webcrossing and the server down problems are beyond the heavier traffic here. There have certainly been other times that the traffic is heavy on these boards but without the ensuing down time.

And this problem has been happening any time of the day or night. This board is not all that busy 24 hours a day to be causing this all the time. It probably is a factor, but not the only cause.

Nope, Phil. Don't. Same one used each year. Which to me izz so neat. Means *when* I find it this year... LOL!!! I'll also be finding Steve and Maureen's Med - from last year; and all the folks Med's from years before. Kind'a send chills down my bock...

Wed, 01/27/1999 - 5:57 PM Permalink

Nope! You do not get to keep it if you find it. You can keep what it's found in...but not the medallion. It gets used again the next year.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but.... This afternoon some bozo was running his snowblower all over the place in highland park. I don't have anything against being lazy, but come on this is crazy!!!!

Hmm, I wonder if sonar would be a worthwhile investment.

In any event, we now know that the clues are going to be wonderful from now on, and the digging will be <censored>, now that we got our nice coating of ice laid.

I do have some ideas dealing with Phalen but does any know if they will ever open up the gates so that at night you can get back there to look back near the additional parking lots and the beach house?

Wed, 01/27/1999 - 5:59 PM Permalink
Life-Long Bronco Fan

If they keep them closed, especially this weekend, you can bet it won't be there, not in that part of Phalen anyways. If they were going to keep out night diggers, they'd advertise it so we don't dig up the rest of town

Just my opinion, Ter...

I could handle the STUPID downtime a whole hell of a'lot better if someone would just say, "Look. Our face izz red. We've got this prob, and we are SSSSOOO SORRY! Please bare with us. We know ittiz hard for you, and we apologize. We are doing our best to correct the situation, and ease your use of these Coolers."

Man. I'd melt - you know ME - and say, "Otay... Izz there anything I can do to help???"

But this continued PROBLEM, unaddressed to us in The Coolers, and they know WELL our angst and fury, is rehensible!!!

I came with in an "n'th" tonite of just signing off and not coming bock until it was all over.

But, see? The language has been fine... At least here... And the WebCrossing has NOT gone down!

(And now that I've said *that* you can bet your booties IT WILL GO DOWN!!!)

Terri- The past two nights I have been out there and the gates have not been opend at night during the day they have but night they are all closed up.

I have a hunch about the number thing....like could it refer to something the medallion is hidden in? Often in early clues they reference what you are actually looking for....the item that holds the medallion.

The gates were open about 9:00 at night on Tuesday. We were not the only ones back in there. The lots are all plowed.
