there was once a church on the grounds of prospect park, looking over the bluff, it was torn down in 1945 by a iconoclast by the name of d. schwartz. after that they had built the park they named it prospect park because it was a prospect of open land so close to the city
Hey Kelly- Prospect lies on the other side of Ohio St. from Cherokee, Ohio St. used to be a famous hill to slide down on the West Side, I heard that you could "FLY" down it
don't think anybody knows what iconoclast means because everybody has a different definition for it, like i said earlier it's a god damn word jumble that points you to prospect park, come on people work with me!!!

Looking back at previous messages, does anyone know where Luther Street is by Newell Park. I have several maps of Newell Park and no Luther Street is by this park. Please help?
to those who ask "how ever do you know there was once a church there" because i frecken went there, i'm an 85 year old and just because i lost my legs in the war doesn't mean i lost my memory
People were making the reference to Martin Luther, King being a iconoclast. So therefore the street "Luther" meant Newell Park. I can't make that connection, myself. But others were. I can't quite think that Martin Luther as an iconoclast, but I don't know all of his history.

OK ALL, break out the hudson...along the east side of the mississippi river on the st paul side.. is it part of highland park that runs along river road??? if this is a public park, it runs right by ford motor co and the st paul seminary. also it is right across the street from town and country club, plus highland also has a course... I DONT KNOW JUST A STAB IN THE DARK!!!!!
David, it means something. Which definition it means, none of us knows. But you have to keep everything in mind, just in case it does refer to something. I've got to step away for a few moments. I'll be back.

From the webster dictionary:
1 : one who destroys religious images or opposes their veneration 2 : one who attacks settled beliefs or institutions
Could be religious or not.
