Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

Hey Rushmore, are you out there? Capitol Mall is cold too.
evenin everyone! I see the news started early tonight, anyone come up with anything new today? I would slog but theres 2000 posts and I just don't plan on bein up that late!
Highland has a lot of stuff that seems so logical, but it never turns out that way. If it is in Highland, which probably is not true, it is probably on the disc course and they will make references to the hole names. I know all of them and some of you may too. Until I hear something in that manner, I will not lean toward Highland.
The only problem with battle creek is that it is huge. Did someone say there is an event there this weekend? Is that a reason for hiding somewhere else. Or is it big enough to handle the traffic?
I think far from the woods means far from a wooded area, but when you're talking about golf clubs, you have irons and woods so there's a slight chance it's a tricky reference to being far from a golf course instead of far from trees. Just a guess though.
earlier Noodlin included carnival = circus = Highland (has a circus school). Shakespeare = bard of Avon = st near Linwood. Knitted brows attributed to Homer = st near Highland. St. Leo's school = near Hillcrest.
BC is very large, but not all of it is in St Paul city limits ... guess it's worth taking 5 mins. to scrutinize the map and know where they are running the ski games within the park relative to other possible park locations where the puck could be hidden.
The Pioneer Press and Cub Foods will host three special events for participants in the Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt who gather at the newspaper’s downtown St. Paul headquarters to await publication of clues:
“Vulcan Night†– Saturday, Jan. 26: The Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt heats up with a visit from the Winter Carnival Vulcans. The hunt’s presenting sponsor – Cub Foods – and Hormel, also a Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt sponsor, will participate. KOOL 108 and the station’s KOOL KAT mascot will help host the event and prize drawings.
“Tropical Night†– Sunday, Jan. 27: Colorful leis and Hawaiian shirts will brighten the night in time for an appearance by the Winter Carnival Royal Family. The WLOL party van will pull up to help host the event and prize giveaways.
“Movie Night†– Tuesday, Jan. 29: The Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt goes Hollywood with Marcus Theatres and K102. Treasure hunters can watch movie trailers, munch popcorn and win theater tickets, posters and other prizes. K102 will sponsor an appearance by the Rodeo Renegades danceline and a drawing for rodeo tickets.
Time: All events will be held from 11 p.m. until midnight. Events will take place, as scheduled, unless the medallion has been found. Call the Treasure Hunt Hot Line for the current status of the hunt at (651) 228-5547.
Hey Rushmore, are you out there? Capitol Mall is cold too.
708 posts since i was here last...DAMN! is any of it worth reading?
Light a spark: cigar box, cigarette pack or match box.....just noodling?????
A lot of BC is actually in Maplewood, so that would rule those parts out going by the first clue. There are some more obscure parts in St. Paul.
HELP?!?!?!? Battle Creek or Highland???
WERE's.mattie?????????????????

Hmm....the waterpark at BC is in St. P or MPLWD?

It has been at BC before, so BC is fair game
Good thought Regman.
the water park is actually in maplewood, soda.
I suppose if "the woods" refers to golf clubs, it could actually still be at Highland.
Question: How come you guys aren't out looking?

Good point too Alice.
the waterpark is in maplewood
MATTIE.RUSH.IT'S.THE.ONLY.WAY.TO.GET.THERE?
OK. I guess I'll be off to chill at Highland.
evening llady. there's been some new noodling in here; i don't remember most of the new ideas. a lot of rehashing of what's been said.
regs, i'd love to see it on the disc golf course at highland.
How they word it "far from the woods", it seems as though they are talking about trees.
Doesn't usually pay to dig this early unless a) you're feel confident you know where it is, at least roughly or b) you have a whole lot of stamina.
How come you guys aren't out looking?
nowhere to dig that really jumps out at us.
LL there is no forsure park, thats for sure. ha ha
where should we be digging Minnesoda
Is there a forest/wooded area at Highland???
Hi Everyone!
theres a forest street at phalen.
evening maureen.
hey maureen!
Just about the whole of Highland - except the golf course which is off limits - is wooded.
No...it wouldn't be at Phalen. Forest ends way earlier before it gets to Phalen's golf course area.
Ares seems ok right now!

Well...thanks for all the help. I hope I get some good searching done. Good Luck Everybody!!!!
One disc golf hole (6) is almost all in trees. The disc course has lots of them
I think we have really ananlyzed the clues to death. Does anyone have any other thoughts, hunches or peripheral info?
Llady,
earlier Noodlin included carnival = circus = Highland (has a circus school). Shakespeare = bard of Avon = st near Linwood. Knitted brows attributed to Homer = st near Highland. St. Leo's school = near Hillcrest.
Forest ends accross the street from the golf course....right at the Bus turnaround thing..
what clue is giving us the golf course?
