Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

"...draws his knit brows" The Illiad...by Homer
"It was evident from his pale face and knit brows that his resolution to revenge himself was growing weaker" Count of Monte Cristo...by Dumas
It's only clue 3. I don't think you're going to find throngs of diggers yet. Even if people have their favorites, it's unlikely many of them will expend the energy at this point on what is likely to not be anything more than a hunch. And if you think you know exactly where it is, you're probably guilty of "circular thinking" (inside joke).
went and checked out BC. that park confuses me so much. we were in the part of the park with at x-counrty skiing going on. is that the right part of the park to be looking?
ok...so if Shakespeare came up in relation to this...is Shakespeare part of any park? I'm sorry..I haven't checked all the messages...I must not know what the point is. Help?
Some people come here with little to contribute so their only way to get attention is to make a nuisance of themselves. Since their goal is not to be liked, but rather to get attention, you can't stop them with insults or reprimands. All you can do is deny them what they came for and ignore them. To say your posts aren't even worth the effort of making a comment ends up being a stronger statement than anything you could say with actual words most times.
lol. I am not going to jump to any conclusions early. Avoiding forests and going to hills can be anything. Hidden, Highland, BC, Linwood,Phalen, Newell, Cherokee, Conway all have wooded areas that can be avoided and all have some hills (maybe not Hidden, but it sure has tides) The point is, it can be anywhere.
that works great allison for those of us who have been in here since these guys showed up and know who's good and who's bad. regman just joined us tonite. we just have to police the board ourselves.
I wonder if it's BC because they have that waterpark and the "fun and slide" and "time and tide" can play into that as well--where should I go...BC or Highland????
The only thing is Homer and Dumas didn't write in English. Someone else translated their words using that phrase. Maybe that doesn't matter, but I would still hesitate to think we're supposed to get an author out of a phrase unless it's something more recognizable.

Knit means to contract into wrinkles (knit her brow) but I'm sure that has nothing to do with anything (reading too far into it)......
I actually don't think Shakespeare has anything to do with the medallion, but others think there may be some connection.
Thanks for that Shakespeare info Valentine. :)
ATTENTION EVERYONE... I HAVE A JOE
Back to my Homer reference...there is a Homer street that intersects Shepard Road High along the bluffs of Crosby Park....noodling
I dont think they are going to put something like Shakespeare into the hunt, but don't leave it out
THAT'S.WHY.I.WILL.GET,IT.MATTIE.THE.BIG.BILL.B.DRINK

Homer's also by Highland...
Longfellow quote:
"Happy, thrice happy, every one Who sees his labor well begun, And not perplexed and multiplied, By idly waiting for time and tide!"
Thrice happy = in a park for the 3rd time = Indian Mounds, & what others?
Which has the spark that ignites and Eleanor...

Yes it is Green!!!
Who made you soooo smart Allison!
You should be on Jeapordy!!!!
This is my first year here. Please don't call the cops!
Highland has fit almost every clue (up until about 8) every year.
Longfellow's by the St. Paul part o'BC...
SCRIBE!!! THE NITRO!!!!!!!
I have made the mistake of digging early at Highland. Please not Highland!
So BC it might be as well...isn't there like 3 or 4 parts to BC?
