My clues are almost done for my second!!!(the coin is out there right NOW!$100.00 if anyone finds it before my hunt!) (if and when I get the chence) This time I have had more than 5 days to write clues and hide the coin! : > )
But know when your walking through the parks you will always have something to search for! My coin that is out there right NOW! $100.00 with no clues!!
And maybe there are some examples out there of taking two steps, the "Marry em" clue comes to mind, but in general you can't count on people taking two steps in the same direction that you did. And personally I thought that "Marry em" clue was pretty bad. No one would have ever gotten that. Even already knowing it was Merriam, people wouldn't know what the heck that clue was talking about.
we found several examples. one in chair-o-key clue 7, with the line of double division, annapolis st. but that was supposed to make you think of the naval academy in annapolis, md. which was supposed to lead to the old navy sock.
clue 7 from conway. the trees in a line, officially, were supposed to make you think of a woodrow, from which you were to get woodrow wilson for the street on the south side of the playground.
Well the Old Navy sock clue from Annapolis was also pretty lame. I doubt anyone got that either. Of course it didn't matter because figuring out the Old Navy sock was hardly required for finding it. I'd almost bet that was really an afterthought added in to the explanations.
As for the Conway one, yes that was two steps, but they were pretty clear in pointing it out and guiding you in the right direction for those two steps.
What if the medallion is in the same park? That's one reason I tend to wait until after the PP hunt to pick my park. Although I have one in mind right now that I've written one clue for.
St Peter Sandstone is a very white sandstone, consisting of well-rounded sand grains that are barely cemented together. The rock is therefore, rather porous and easily breakable. It is one of the purest, most unmixed rocks in this vacinity, being more than 99% pure silica, from which glass is made.
It is runs approx 150 feet thick in the St Paul area.
As for the two step, even if there are clues that want you to do that, the odds of doing it successfully are pretty slim. You're far more likely to end up off track than you are to hit upon something they intended to be useful, so I'd still advise against using the process.
About doing the two-step?
yup.
Hmmmm! Mock hunt!!!

After I find AW's next coin! His will start some time after the PP's then mine will be a month or TWO after that!
But know when your walking through the parks you will always have something to search for! My coin that is out there right NOW! $100.00 with no clues!!
A frayed knot LL Keep trying.

It's probably in some park that only Marley has ever heard of! :-P

hey look, you got the 44 joe :)
there were a couple of otheres where if you look at the explanations you can see obvious 2-step jumps as well.
Timm- cause no one figured out the 1st park yesterday we just continued with the same park.
I asked if they wanted me to tell after 2 clues and begin again with another park or continue with the 1st park- they wanted to continue.
I didnt think those clues were hard though. but you have to know the park.
Now everyone here knows something about that park.
good idea me2, I didn't even know that one existed.
Did anyone every make a decision about where we were going to eat before McG's?
Have we considered not going to downtown St. Paul - or is that just too sacreligious?
Clue #1

I would guess at this point sacrilege isn't the problem so much as short notice, assuming you're talking about moving the whole event.

if this vacinity,
Would that be "in this vicinity"?
hey AW-you found me out -that one little word is the secret hehehhee ;)
thanks, I fixed it
next clue at 2 pm
I read through the posts - was gonna answer on AW's quiz and then saw everyones answers :(
Only 2 out of the 5 have been correctly answered in public. There are still 3 more.
marydale was a gimme though :)
Me2...What is this hunt all about
What are the rules...what are we seeking
Really? I thought that might have been one of the harder ones. I figured Eileen Weida wouldn't be too hard. I thought #3 would be pretty easy also.
3's highland.
No, it's not Highland. You guys better make sure you have TMK on your team. :-P
nooooo! we can't split two tickets to hawaii between 3 people. aw what the heck. me2 and i get the plane tickets, medkids gets the groceries :)
That is a good point. I wonder how they work that if a group of people finds it?
battle creek??
Can anybody tell me what this hunt is all about?
Sorry, you only got #2 and #4 correct.
Is it an actual hunt...or a virtual hunt?
Is there a prize...or just the satisfaction of deciphering the clue
Nope and Nope.
just practicing mac :)
Ok, I have to ask, how do you get that?
Then the correct answer will be something like this... Hidden Falls or Mississippi River Blvd by the Ford Plant
ok, number 1 is highland then!
"The Medallion Has Been Targeted for Medallionation."
