Good Morning!

Gotta keep moving on through here but need to tell Green this:

Subscribe - It's under "Your Member Tools" just above the box you type your posts into.

And to everyone else - if it's Eileen Weida Park - you'll have that all searched with a fine tooth by nightfall. Good luck!

Wishing all a way cooler day!

Someone asked last night and I meant to answer this, no, there is not bus route with a triple E designation. They are all designated by number, sometimes with a single letter following.

That being said, the idea of a heated bus stop does have some appeal as being what this clue is referring to.

But, a prominent St. Paul address...the place where you go to get a copy of your birth certificate...is at 555 Cedar...which I believe the numbers would visible from the Capitol Mall or somewhere nearby.

Just my two-cents worth...

I'm still thinking in terms of heated shelters that are open 24 hours a day, that would be near or in a park.

Triple EEE is a shoe size isn't it? My aunt was saying that when they use to ice skate as children, there was always a warming shelter. SO, EEE could be a wide skate size.

Interesting thought oriongirl

The only thing about a warming house is I don't think you can say that the door will always be open. I assume they generally lock them at night.

Last night we were discussing Triple E as possibly being a word play on "Tripoli", like in the marines song. Someone else mentioned the story that went along with the song and something about "Barbary pirates" or the like, I thought it was interesting that "barb" was in there....

Hotels are open 24 hours a day.

if it's refering to churches, how about the Cathedral then? If you can see the Capitol, then maybe you can see the Cathedral too.

Good Morning! Okay, here's where I'm at: 1st clue it's gonna be harder this year than last; faith anew--new cathedral; near a hockey rink
2nd clue it's in a part of St Paul where the capitol can be seen
3rd clue warming house; EEE is wide shoe size--street name with shoe brand or the medallion is hidden in something shoe related??
I know this is pretty basic thinking, but I'm working on the KISS theory (keep it simple, stupid). We are only on the 3rd clue....

police stations, hospitals

Good point on the faith anew thing, that really makes sense

What about the phrase "parked among us". Could that be a clue that is not in a park? but on a street? Parked? Like summit ave parkway or something like that.

I thought about the parkway thing, too orion. they have hidden it that way before. I think the writer is being especially vague this year because Ma wants it last longer than 6 clues, too.

I had asked about a parkway earlier, seeing as I live on one :)

But the description doesn't match up with mine at all.

Has the medallion ever been hidden in swede hollow?

Tue, 01/21/2003 - 9:12 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Buggs is a bar in South St. Paul where a lot of medallionating goes on.

The treasure has never been in Swede Hallow.

Tue, 01/21/2003 - 9:13 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

I liked Swede Hallow yesterday, but I can't think of any shelters associated with it. There's the possibility of it being one of the tunnels leading into it, but I kind of doubt it as it's not somewhere you'd really expect to stay warm, even in the dead of winter.
