Awsome link! Thanks for finding and posting that!!! I'm saving for later...

The second time was in 2008. Most of the early clues seemed to describe any place except Mounds Park but Clue 10 made the general location obvious. Clue 11 was precise ....

describes this hunt if you ask me... :barf: :barf: :barf:

I'm gonna get done with work at 3:30 today. If I try to get out to the park at 4:00 or so, who's gonna be out there?

I am obsessed with all of those shows and movies. As a matter of fact, last night at Yarusso's they were showing each Godfather movie at the same time on three different televisions. I bicker with my wife all the time about how big of a joke it was when Dances with Wolves beat out Goodfellas for best picture in 1990. I don't know how to connect any of Tony Sopranos Gumars(sp?) to the clues though.

I hope to get out around that time too. I will hopefully see you down there.

Today is my wife's birthday . I am taking her to lunch at 12:45 at yarusso's. If you see us please say happy birthday Mary. She gets a raw deal as Her birthday is always during the hunt.

Alright, time to go hunt.

It's still in Swede.

Now it's just time to get lucky.

I can't imagine there will be all that many people out there. This is our chance!

With the exception of a couple of posters, the old PP board has some savey noodlers. It's a pretty small group now, but less hectic than years past.

    this concerns me...

    dixie= a large pot

    In original novel

Tinker Bell was described by Barrie as a fairy who mended pots and kettles, like an actual tinker.[1]

I can make every damn clue fit Kellogg...but I won't...I repeat I won't go there...

ha...and I think i figured out that why I saw 2 guys last nite on the corner of Wabasha and Plato diggin' kitty corner to the Holiday gas station

OT: how do you get to the "old" PP boards? And why are there two? It's confusing.

    queenmalley

Thanks, OT! And when I went to your link my old name and log in worked!

When I put St Paul Pioneer Press in Google, go to their homepage, click on Treasure Hunt, then Discuss the Clues, I get the NEW board. But your link brought me directly to the OLD board. Confusing!

The URL's begin differently. The old is "forums.twincities.com and the new is off of the main PP site and starts "twincities.com

Interesting tie-in about Virginia. I was thinking about Virginia Hill, Bugsy Siegel's girlfriend, who was a nightclub singer and of german ancestry. But couldn't find a virginia relating to SH.

Diggin, I agree when we were there last night I just couldn't feel it and now I know why...I'll be out afterwork tonight

I researched all I could about Virginia Hill, and I found nothing. I really wanted to find out which movie she was attending.

Can anyone tell me anything about Conway's Bar? 499 Payne, now the MN Music Cafe.

I don't even know how this popped into my head...
    Mon, 01/26/2009 - 9:31 AM Permalink
    zephyrus

It doesn't have to. It could be on a Palin bumpersticker, button, underwear... that part doesn't have to mean park.

I believe Lafayette would be French.
