My Mom ended up having to go into the hospital this weekend. She has what they call a Wry Neck. Started Friday night and by early yesterday morning, we got a call from her lifeline people that the paramedics were enroute.
We met them over there, followed them to the hospital and after a day of pain medication, muscle relaxants and other stuff that made her sick and not doing anything for the pain, she is doing better today. No spasms and she can hold her head straight ahead. (She could only look to the right.) Her pain level yesterday without the spasms was 5. With spasms 10. Today she is indicating a 3. It's still sore, but they put her on a different pain med that seems to be working better and hasn't made her sick.
A therapist has been up to see her and work with her a couple times today and they did an ultrasound treatment. They and she are hopeful she'll be well enough to come home tomorrow.
I'm sad for the set back with your ma TV but glad she's doing better now. Chronic pain sucks at any level but when one says it's a 10 you know they've never felt pain like that before.
It was so cool....we were in sec 104 row 8 aisle seats 1 & 2.....after the floating platform, the guitar player came up our aisle and stood there playing the guitar...awesome!
My Mom was released today. She is a bit sore, but much, much better and glad to be back home.
If you do a google search on wry neck, you'll get some information better than I can explain it. It can happen to anyone. Age doesn't have much to do with it. I don't even know if her arthritis is a contributing factor.
Whatever caused it, I'm glad she's doing so much better.
She has enough regular pain with her arthritis to have to deal with anything additional.
I'm sick of the economy, I'm sick of Xmas shopping, and I'm sick of work, I'm sick of ableminds saying HOST ERROR. I'm posting the Animainiacs, and you're going to enjoy it with me - damn it.
Animaniacs was on afternoon TV when I was in college - I taped about five VHS tapes full of Animaniacs - That's something like 24 hours worth of that stuff. Pinky and the Brain are still the best as far as I'm concerned.

It's so hard to see her in such pain.
It's so good to know she's better today.

OK show - I think it was the 2 male leads, great voices, but did nothing "visually" for me, hard for me to fall in love with the characters...
One cool thing - it snowed at the very end - inside the Ordway, ontop of the audience... very cool.
TSO Carol of the Bells
is this what they did tonight too? WOW! What an ending

Right there next to us - - so cool!
what is wry neck? is it because she is older?
I suppose it comes and goes?
the blond guy came up the aisle right at us.
I was videotaping that part of the show and had to turn the camera sideways to get the guy because he was so close.
great show! great lights!
its not great video but it was fun. will post it in youtube soon.

The platform at some other part of the show also had these huge flames shoot up that made me hot and I was a good 20 yds away!
They had huge tanks of lp or whatever gas they had - larger than 100 pounders anyway.
I wish I could have afforded to take the fam to see it this year.
Im glad i'm not Tony Danza
