Ugghhh... annoyed when someone I barely knew in grade school tries to friend me on fb only to drum up business for his "amway" style web shopping referral scam. He seemed pretty braggy about his "company" teaming up with a web based shopping site. So I checked it out and there is no business listing for his "company" his website just routes you to this shopping site. People are so full of crap. IGNORE
Am I the only person around that doesn't really care for that movie Inception?
I'm not sure if it was billed as a sci fi movie or not, but the whole premise just seemed... boring.
I'm kind of thinking most people like it just because it's a bit of a mind bender that they have to watch a few times to get.. sort of like how it was "cool" to go back and watch the 6th sense a bunch of times to see all the things you miss.
Being sore all over yet there's still digging to be done. Arms, back and inner thighs are a mess today for some reason. Headed out soon to add to it I guess.
This particular agent happens to be from St Paul and has been an agent (in SP) for 30 yrs, so I feel he should be smarter than he acts, but he's not. Everything is SOOOOOO dificult and SOOOOO much paper work - I wonder who held his hand for the last 30 yrs?
Todays incident involves him showing one of our other agents properties, not telling anyone and then leaving the lights on and not locking up properly - which the seller noticed. Without the courtesy of communicating the showing to the listing agent, she didn't know who had shown it and she (and our company) looked bad to her seller. All the instructions for showing the properties are in the info folder for the particular property - so there is no excuse, and all he had to do is make a call and leave a message. When I tried to tell him that he can't do that and why, he got all defensive saying he doesn't need a lecture. Well, excuse me for doing MY job. Then just a few minutes ago he asks if I want to hear something funny - another agent also showed the property (but not in the time frame in question) so really it was the other agent, "but I'll still take the rap". Wow - how old are you?
Sorry for ranting and thanks for listening.
Isn't it? Oh, and he did mention names - he thought it was funny. I just happened to already know about the other agents showing and that it wasn't in the time frame in question. And I didn't let him get away with it. Makes for a tense afternoon, but he left (early as usual) so maybe I can enjoy the last hour.
Mine's worked here for 30 years, and last month in our audit, she basically pretended that she didn't know how to use a highlighter pen.
Seriously.
I feel so sorry for you, and totally understand. There is something about lame, that makes you just want to slap them upside the head until the common sense registers in their eyes like a slot machine on jackpot.
yes. I handed her about 60 pages of print outs and another sheet with about 10 different numbers on it, and told her to go through the 60pgs and highlight any of the numbers that matched the audit sheet.
She looked at me and said - are you sure? I don't want to mess this up. Highlighter pen is permanent.
My response? I handed her a pencil and sticky notes, and told her to underline every number that matched, and sticky note flag the page, and I would come back with the highlighter.

I'm having an interesting week at work so far. Came in Monday morning to 20% of the printers dropping their DNS entries over the weekend and aren't responsive on the network.
Thankfully HP's WebJetAdmin manages to communicate with the printers on a different protocol or something, I'll really have to figure out how they do that. It had all the new IP addresses, so most of the work simply was sending the new information to the Hostmasters to rebind the new IP addresses to the affected printers. Granted, the only way we could tell the affected devices was to see if they had any errored out jobs in their queues on the servers. BTW got a handy new Management Console plugin so I can see all of the print queues on the network instead of having to check each print server individually.
Still was dealing with the problem Tuesday.. the ticket queue is roughly double the normal size. More running around tomorrow...
Actually I'm having fun with it being busy though, especially if I can learn a thing or two.
Took a Valentine's Day date to Wolfgang Puck's 20.21 restaurant in the Walker Art Center. She is on an extremely restrictive 'fad' diet and had a pretty mediocre time trying to find something she could eat. Service was decent and the food was a bit salty, but nothing nasty.
Two days later I get an e-mail survey asking 'How was dinner?' After considering what the date went through I was thinking about my own salty reply... but didn't. Turns out I didn't need to say anything - the NEXT day news breaks that the restaurant is CLOSING and D'Amicos will be moving in.
I never had any clue that was coming - sad to say I don't think the polite service staff (or maybe even the Asst. Manager there on V-Day) had any idea, either. Timing is everything I guess.
Not surprising. Sorry your date had such a hard time with the food. I think a lot of high end chef's have this idea that they created a dish with a certain flavor profile, and if they change one thing in the dish - they are going to lose the balance that they've strived for, and people won't like the food.
I had a friend who was one of the opening chefs of that place. He moved out from CA specifically to work there. I wonder what is going to happen to him, and if he will come back to CA now...
irritates: I have a wine tasting group, that I put together every other Thursday to help out a friends wine bar. She is supposed to have different wineries come in on those days, run a flight tasting menu of their wines, and there is supposed to be some sort of education on the wines from the rep... it usually runs $10-15/person
We are going on visit #3, where she hasn't booked anyone, and instead we are all sitting around drinking wine from her tired flights menu... last night I dropped $75 for G and I just on wine. I still brought in I think 12-15 people.
I think if she doesn't change it by our next meeing on the 3rd, I'm going to have to find a new location to host my party.
I accidentally found a car wash at Lexington and 694. South East corner behind gas station. With our without gas it was like $5 - great wash. big signs too.
We all know that parking is limited in most lots now a days with snow taking up many spaces... well last night at a restaurant as I approached a spot a car's headlights went on, so I paused thinking they may be pulling out... after a few moments they didn't move so I continued on.
My friend following me in her car, also spotted this car and stopped.. she went as far as gesturing are you wanting to pull out - the woman driving shook her head No and waved my friend on - so she did...
As soon as my friend passed - the woman driving started to laugh and pulled out... B**ch
Sometimes I think it'd be better to get stranded on a nice tropical island, far far away from people.
I'm tired of being stuck in so many situations of "Dammed if you do, Dammed if you don't" and either scenario ends with myself looking like an idiot, moron, or just that I don't care. Even though I practically spend my whole day trying to do the right thing, and make more sacrifices than I should. I really wish I were exaggerating.
It a smaller replica of the original :sheepish:

So sick of it - how did these people function all these years?

personally, i prefer to slap them upside the head until their eyes roll back in their head like a slot machine, but that's just me.

Monday: I get pinched nerve in back thanks to Valentine's day massage (From masseuse!)
Monday: Urgent Care doc says I'm going to be incontinent and need to go to ER and need to get an MRI.
Tuesday-Today: Several doctors laugh and say Urgent Care doc was just trying to "treat and street" me.
I expect to own urgent care facility by end of the week.
and I hope Honey Bear is feeling okay :frown:

Them: well the code is good for 100 days
Me: but I wanted to wash my car today
Them: we can refund the money
Me: I already filled my tank here to get the discount if I go somewhere else I have to pay a higher amount for a wash because I didn't purchase gas
Them: Oh..........sorry bout that
When I lived in River Falls there was a station that if you purchased gas you got a carwash for $1. There was no minimun purchase to get the deal.
Huge sign that says "$3.00 Car Wash".
My friend following me in her car, also spotted this car and stopped.. she went as far as gesturing are you wanting to pull out - the woman driving shook her head No and waved my friend on - so she did...

_cluemaster: ...having my knee drained for 9 hours..._
Maybe if Jana let you off your knees once in a while you'd get swelling somewhere else instead of your joints! :ooh: :goofy: :ooh:
