A structure of red is not too far, About ninety degrees from the Polar Star. Get out your compass, we suggest, It will help you find the treasure chest.
Stones are near the treasure site, Cemented together to hold them tight. This time of year you'd stay away, But that's not true on a summer's day.
Two names could mean an awful lot, In helping you to find the spot. One is Dutch, you will agree, Part of the other is on T.V.
A crossing was built not far away To serve the needs of another day. Near the place there is a knoll, Nearer still there is a hole.
Sounds like a good chance to practice noodling old clues :)
BTW that's just part of the whole idea Mr. Med, eventually we'll have all of the former locations mapped out. I'll also run a satellite view with the locations marked out when I get a chance, and we have a bigger list of locations plotted.
Anyone interested in noodling the previous years clues would make a great contribution to this project, especially on the early years, no special equipment required.
It's time for the 2005 Winter Carnival ! Check out this link and vote for your favorite design for the 2005 Winter Carnival button. Button #5, features medallion hunters armed with shovels . You gotta like that!
You kiddin? Shoot I bet the medallion hunters make up most of the button sales, since you'd have to be nuts to not buy one if you're intending to hunt. I'm thinkin #5 has a really good chance of winning.
It kind of looks like the same people in #5 and #6 but with different outfits and "weapons". Isn't this a competition? Is it a coincidence, or did two people come up with similar buttons?
In exile at the Mall of America for a year. But I'm free now. Apparently much has changed, since one of the clowns has an avatar of a guy in a speedo...must re-read much, apparently!

Read my mind exactly Mr Med. Number 5 is perfect, everybody go vote for it!!!
[Edited by on Oct 7, 2004 at 11:50am.]
voted for #5, although I did kinda like the vulcan one, Sorry Scribe;)
Looks like we need to try to out vote the vulcs!
At least they could be splitting there votes...
I like #4, the stern Boreas look.
Breckenridge here we come!
Seems to me the #6 vulcan one would go with #5 in the button set (it's got the same general style)
I voted for #5, but it probably won't win because of the limited interest. Not general enough. But it's worth a try.

Good point, KC. I retract my last post. Mea culpa
I do like 6 though...
Number 5 as well.
I am going to have to watch for this contest next year I coud have come up with a better design.

I think you're right, ESD. I don't think any of them are very attractive.

What are you talking about? That middle hunter on #5 looks like it could be me2 or LL.
Or Marcie from Peanuts ;-)

It looks like three people disigning two each to me.
Silly me! Of course it does! I was just concentrating on those two I guess. Maybe they don't do the competition thing any longer.
I never heard anything but I have been busy this year.
the middle one does look like me2!!!!
Â
what a hottie!!!
the top one looks like...cm
the more I look at it....
Looks like a button team is out there.....just one group of people....
1 and 2, 3 and 4, and 5 and 6.......
the site then says.....its a 4 button set....and the one with the most votes will have 2 more buttons designed....*right*?.......
so if i'm reading this right.......they are admitting if they will pick a winning button and have its "partner" with it and 2 more to be made.....
Â
yess.....we have some vulc help on the medallion button.......*the way i see it*
Â
i've had a few beers.......heh
