It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

Here's a clue. Look for me digging at the park this morning. I'll be wearing a real goofy patchwork hat. I'm also the guy who wrote the Treasure Hunter's Guide. I
described this park in the book. You should be able to figure out what's red in the sky, especially if you look at the rest of the sentence. Stop by and say hello, my
It is at highland park... The 9 5 and somewhere a 4, I think, is talking about the bus stop at the corner of the water tower block on snelling.. In the bus stop, which is
quite clear, there are 3 bus scheduled, the 9?, the 5?, and the 4. The clue stated somewhere a 4. The schedule says that the times for the the for are at Edgecumbe
and snelling. I cant give anymore away since I almost found it last night. I found the trees in a line that will show a name. Am going there this morning to see what the
Another random thought: IF it is at Battle Creek & IF the ski jump is still there, clue 2 could mean the ski jump is visible but not too close to the site.
Did everyone leave or what? Steve Ford. I'd guess the medallion will be found by the end of the night. It's at Conway, which is a small park, and everyone is there.
So I think some luckey dawg will dig it up or pry it out this afternoon or evening

well - I know of a park - by 3m - that is not 3M center - all the signs are there - and well - there is a 3M water tower that is visable from the site - there isn't a water
tower with the 3M logo at the campus off of Mcnight - I know - I work there - but there is the big red letters high in the sky - with something field with water - - big
old water tower - sporting the nice red 3M logo....
you're a freaking idiot. why the hell are you looking in Loring Park. That's in mpls you flaming faggot. The only treasure you'll find there is ...............oh forget it you
Good morning all. I assume everyone is out hunting but thought I'd see if there are any others like me who must work and can't be out in the fun. Anyone care to
OK Kids, here's my 2 cents. (P.S. I'm unable to hunt this year) Clue 2: doesn't necessarily have to be a place that has an organized sledding area. Check out near
the cathedral. Clues 3 & 4: together they point to the Historical Society bldg. Clue 5: St. Paul Technical College Clue 6: John Ireland (Blvd) Clue 9: Capitol Dome
discus - sure - I have many a thoughts - Conway - does sound good - but well I'm thinking along the lines of Swede Hollow?? anyone ever heard of it?? it is a pretty
nice size park and you can see the entire downtown from there - quite pretty if I do say so - anyway - looking east through some trees - you can see the 3M water
tower - which I think is a huge clue - there isn't many water towers around that sport the 3M logo -
There is no translucent peak at Swede. The capitol dome is NOT translucent, the light source if exterior. To be translucent it would have to diffuse light (frosted glass
Jenny Jenny I am mystified by the 954 at Conway also. I thought maybe the four was separate from the 9 and 5 and there is a four sign on one of the backstops. The
is a house number on Conway that is 259 but that seems to be stretching. Maybe the 95 is on whatever the Medallion is hidden in.

Also, someone stated in a prior post that they called the Park and Rec Dept and Conway is classified as a Rec Center not a Park. This technicality bothers me if it is
Swede Hollow park - is directly next to Metro State College - "Yearning worth learning" -
It is due south of the Brewery - I'm am really waiting on a clue with something in reference to beer - or grain - or something - something with Hamm's I don't know -
You can see the capital - 1st bank building (not that this matters) - the tranlucent panels of the galtier plaza - "the sign" of a cross - a great sliding possibilities....
I was there last night - until 2:30 - I like it - I went to Conway - and well to many people there - crazy - where does one start at conway??
ideas - we all have them - not all of them are right - only ideas and possibilities.... we all can dream 0 best of luck to all
9-5-4 are not numbers. They are references. 9 = Baseball, 5 = Hockey or Basketball, 4 = Golf or someother activity (at Conway there is a piece of football practice
equipment used by (4) linemen). All of these are at Conway. They would not put such discript numbers in a early clue (address etc...)
yes Conway is so picked over. I'm starting to doubt if its the right Park even though so many clues fit. Seems with all that digging someone should have come up with
it by now! Unless it's hidden in a VERY unusual way or place. (Iconoclast?) Has anyone heard anything about Merriam Park. Are any looking there?
why would one shout if they get numbers right - it's clue number 3 - getting numbers right - doing what gambling - I don't know - I think clue 3 is closer to what the
medallion is actually in - CD Jewel case - a KS95 sticker - a Treasure Island cup - or a deck of cards - getting numbers right - and shouting - winning - game - I
don't know this is pretty damn far - but I really think that clue 3 isn't in relation to location - it's in relation to what it is in.....look at past years -
My eyes told me something last night at conway. when I looked through the line of trees, I read a sign said heritage, sending me back to the histoical socciety bldg.
Think its a run-a-round puzzle?? Bringing mee to think it's at cathedral park.

Conway is just North of highway 94 on Ruth Street... Can't miss it!
orient = east.... definitely conway
What is the 954 at Conway?
Hello, is anyone out there?
Yes. I think it is at HP.
everyone is either at work or out hunting.
what about a 3M water tower - there is one you know???
Any ideas as to what the "red" in today's clue indicates?
Mapmaker- Hey that sounds like an interesting book, can you tell me more about it and where I could find it?
MAPMAKR: Thanks for the help - don't give the rest away! I sent you a more detailed email...I'm sure I'll see you around "the spot".

word says..
Mapmaker/Chris P - Is the large red object the 3M sign on the 3M building? Or does it have soemthing to do with "orient"?
no such thing as a woodrow ave
Another random thought: IF it is at Battle Creek & IF the ski jump is still there, clue 2 could mean the ski jump is visible but not too close to the site.
hey mapmakr, was that you i saw yesterday at the capital?

I ended up being out until 2:30 in th morning. If it wernt so late, the medallion would have been found(hehe)..
Good luck to all, especially me..

It's at Conway or nowhere.
Woodrow - as in Wilson - as in Wilson ST.

discus?
so the thing is due west of a red light, eh?
What does "flying downhill" have to do with Conway?
There is a water tower behind the Sundance Bowling alley right by Conway. Easily visible and in same direction as 3M logo.

Anyone ever heard of this park?? let me know...
Flying downhill is the sledding hill on the NE corner of Park. Was just sledding with my son there yesterday.
Two things I question about Conway.
9-4-5 What's that?
and
Conway isn't a park. It's only a playground. In Clue one it specifically says a park. please respond.
jennyjenny
Swede Hollow is due south of the old Stroh's / Olympia brewery. What else have you got on it. I'm saying it's Conway.
There is no translucent peak at Swede. The capitol dome is NOT translucent, the light source if exterior. To be translucent it would have to diffuse light (frosted glass
etc...).
jennyjenny:
Conway is a park and a playground you medallion less snowchunck!
Anybody here?

Thank you I didn't know or remember that hill.

We dug out all around that piece of football equipment yesterday thinking about the four and "shout" but found zero.
I PERSONALLY THINK THE 9-5 SOMEWHERE A 4 THINGS MEANS SQUAT. IT IS JUST TO THROW US OFF.

I'm SSSSSSSOOOOO confused.! where is it! Now i'm starting to wish that someone would find it so i can sleep at night! LMAO
