Hey Kristine, you just got up too! I'm also starting to think that a)9-5-4 is not an address, at least not one near the park. Perhaps it is the address of something else,

something famous like a stadium, the name of which is meaningful to the park. b) The iconoclast reference may indeed mean the medallion is hidden in some very

unusual way or place. I'm convinced its at Conway, yet it hasn't been found.

Has anyone every heard of "Poor Richard's Almanack"? I think this is the solution to clue 6. This was published annually from 1733 to 1796.

I really think this is a run- around puzzle - find one clue at one park that points you to another - I thought that idea out to - this is frustrating me - so

much.....ARGH....

I don't think it's at a park that is so popular - I think they'll keep it so vague until this saturday or sunday - we won't find this until this week - everyone will stay in the

parks that they know and dig - and dig - then we'll all get really upset - because they'll throw this curve ball at us that will throw us all off - like - forget the all the

other clues - this is a clue that you should know.....hey they could do it and p*ss off a lot of people - but hey it's them with the 10k - they can get us to do about

anything for that money....

There is a 459 Ruth St. at Conway, but its been pretty well investigated already. And doesn't it seem strange that they would give us a clue with something as precise

as an address, especially so early. Yet, if its not an address, what do they mean by adorn the front door?

goodmorning david (if I remember right..) I am just at my whits end on this thought about it allnight...till my tylenol finally kicked in... I heard someone say on the

back of the basball stop there was a sign of a 4...if that is true....where are the 9 and 5.....

Doctor, personally I think they're talking about Henry Hudson and a Hudson guide. Old Hudson Rd. is one block south of Conway.

Stalion checking in here-

Still convinced on Conway, until another clue leads us somewhere else, like last year from Mounds to Cherokee. I love how opinion is still divided.

Alison- The best bet at Conway is to check in unusual places, it might not be buried this year like it has the past few! I did some research on the past decade and the

hiding places are very interesting- not always buried in the snow-though this is usually the case.

Here is a theory I heard yesterday= "numbers keep score" clue- remember the speech four score, etc. that equals 20- all the houses on Conway across from the

park have 20-- addresses

Allison Wonderland

There is a field #4 (All the fields are numbered 1-4). The 9 and 5 could be right field and third base, but would you call the backstop a front door? On the other

hand, that field is right in front of the 459 address.

allison...have you tried standing in the park at a place where you can see allthe clues and only one translucent peak?

FLIPNAT, i agree finally someone is thinking. 9 = right field, 5= 3rd base, 4= second base??? i dont know the #'s thing, but i did like the ks95 and the newell park

thing..

I called you a chunk of snow, without the medallion!

Get a clue you pile of dug up frozen ice!

I know everyone thinks that "Round and White and stretched tight" refers to what the medallion is hidden in. However, what if its not. Are there any parks that have

domed fields.

MedallionStallion

I'm really starting to think the 954 refference might be what it's hiding in or where in the park to look. Otherwise it would be WAY to complicated, cause, as we

have seen, it could lead us to ANY and EVERY park. So it's got to be a refference to where to search, or what to search for, once you get to the right park.

Allison Wonderland

I wonder if anyone has looked under the bleachers to see if its taped to the underside? But I agree Stallion, its got to be someplace people wouldn't ordinarily look.

The only problem was I didn't see that many unusual places out there.

Hey everyone-- Please notice the note PioneerPlanet put at the top saying the medallion is not adjacent to or on the grounds of any public water tower. Please heed

and don't dig up this private property. Thanks (and good luck!)

Will anyone else be at Conway this afternoon? It is great out this morning!

its probably in a place just simple somewhere that noone would never believe probably isn't buried and thats why such lame clues

Allison Wonderland

Again, I agree with you stallion which is why I've been so desperate to figure the 9-5-4 out the last 24 hours. Kristine, I did go to a spot where the peaks lined up in

front of 459, but no luck. Late last night I tried lining up the peaks and lining up the 3M sign behind the water tower and seeing where they met (and I could see

everything else) but the area was quite dug up already and I was cold.

I can't get out until this evening, but you bet I'll be at Conway!

I am thinking about going just to look around probably won't dig until my hubby gets home with the shovel...lol..but I do live across the street so...

MedallionStallion

Say, all you conway people, is the new clue a refference to the big 3M sign on the 3M building? I don't remember seeing that yesterday, but wasn't exactly looking

out for it either.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 10:57 AM Permalink

I'll be out there again, though if I don't have 954 figured out by then, I won't even know where to start looking.

from conway.

Regarding Conway: Does anyone know who Conway is named after? If so, do any of the clues point to that person or name (Iconoclast, man of fame, etc)?

As for the 9,5, and 4 reference: none of the interpretations have been convincing. It would be too easy, and weak, if they were simply visible from the hiding location

or an address. They must mean something else.

The Med is hidden in a white balloon - it is the only thing that reasonably makes sense and would be a challenge to find.

To answer any doubters, I believe the official name of Conway is "Conway Heights Park and Recreation Center". I guess that qualifies it as a park

I don't believe iconoclast refers to any person...I believe it is telling you to search a park that the medallion hasn't been hidden in before or at least not for a

while.......YOU have to be the icononoclast. That's one of the great selling points for Conway...No one was saying Conway a week ago...

Dean.... I don't think it's Conway at all - just don't - but I haven't been to Merriam - I have to leave now - I'll share my thoughts later

Beware the dangers of the water cooler!!! Do you know for sure who is posting? Maybe the PP trying to throw you all off! The reason I say this is that I know the

park for sure and nobody is close! I can give REASONABLE explanations of every clue...here's a freebie: Do Not Leave Valuables Locked In Car.

This isn't a Cyber Search. You will learn more by getting yourself out to the parks and looking around!

Peace!

ok.....this is my interpretations of the clues....yearning for learning..(the library)now a man of fame offers his name I am thinking of Babe Ruth (Ruth St.)otherwise I

have heard suspicions of Hudson....now..trees in a linefrom this a name will appear..Wood Row..woodrow Wilson..also at conway there are a line of trees that have

park signs at each end...translucent peak (sunray center)water on high (water tower on the hill) a large red object in the sky (the 3m sign)....those are my

thoughts....but if anyone else has any ideas please share..I would hate to be at the wrong park...
