Had a BAAAD experience at Herald's Motel, 3827 Mormon Coulee Rd, La Crosse, WI this weekend. Trying to find out who the owner is, and not having any luck - can you assist?

Also to the group - any ideas as to who I can complain to? Already did local COC, BBB and Health Dept.

If it was a motel vs a hotel, I wouldn't think you'd get very far with any complaining unless it was a major chain of some sort.

It's a motel.

I think the health dept. guy will get after them a little, but I'm curious as to the owner's name.

DIdn't stay there. Checked in at 5, the room was in shambles, no sheets, comforter reeked of wine, mold on the celing, etc. Asked for money back and they refused. So, I'm going to try to kick some ass.

Yeah, I know. But it's kind of a craphole motel anyway. It's cheap and usually clean, which is why we stay there.

I just called there to see if I could talk to the owner. I said I wanted to book all 11 rooms for May 24th and wanted a deal. the english speaking mexican man said I could book 5 rooms for May 24th. he didn't know the owners name. wow. He said they rent the other 6 rooms out monthly to people to live in. I could hear kids playing in the background.....didn't sound like this place was in Wisconsin. doh!

Last time I stayed in a Wisconsin motel is was a real classy joint.

My grandfather passed away and his funeral was in the small town of Ettrick, WI (about 1/2 hour north of LaCrosse). We stayed at the local motel, which was still about 15 miles away.

My uncle said he'd call us in our room when the rest of family was going to dinner. Sure enough, a phone started ringing - to my surprise, we found out our room had an Apple Phone. Not the cool kind with the touch screen - one of these:

Anybody ever disputed a cc charge? My cc company has been great, but I have to wait until the charge goes through to dispute it.

Talked to Enrique today, he said if I could prove that the room was dirty then he'd refund my money. I didn't take a picture of the trash, though! uh oh!

He's saying because I checked in, went to say hi to Grandma, then came back, that because 30 minutes passed, I had the room, and since I refused others, I'd have to prove that it was so disgusting.
