For those that made it up today, thanks for a great day and evening!
We had a nice fire until after dark when it started sprinkling so we came inside and played some great games.
Wish that others could have made it...the more the merrier.
Good food, great friends and lots of laughs. What could be better?!?!
It was a bit of a drive back, a little nerve-wracking with the wet roads, but I made it back. It was indeed a fun evening and it's too bad we didn't get more people. Well maybe next time.

Got 2 major Christmas gifts taken care of that we have to take with us on vacation in 2 weeks. ( I do Christmas early!)Wouldn't have had time next week as B has to get the dock and boats out and set for winter.

We've got the last load of laundry in the dryer and we're packing up to head back to the cities. Sure is gray, wet and yucky here today.

Driving in rainy weather sure is interesting. I'm glad we left when we did. There's wind advisories out for later today. Rain and wind is not a combination I'm terribly fond of.
There was one time at about the Stacy exit that suddenly everything slowed down and then stopped. The guy behind me obviously had not been paying attention. He headed towards the ditch in order to avoid rear-ending us. Luckily he didn't get all the way in - though he did get off at the next exit. He may have needed to change his drawers! LOL!!
A nap sounds like a good thing to plan next.

no i haven't gotten my homer hankie yet, terry. i'm not sure i want to because i'll confess to being a bandwagon fan. i haven't been to a twins game since last season, and when i started going they started their slump. no need to change that now, considering i'm very much a jinx on them. i've been to one game in my life that they won, and i'm pretty sure that was a result solely of the girl factor. or it could be that they just played a team that sucked.

Sorry we didn't make it to the get together Saturday. I think I had a little stomache bug, spent most of my time up north curled up on the couch while Marley worked.

We did have a couple good things happen. There was a buck in the woods next to our driveway when we got there Friday night, I finally heard the snorting thing they do! Then driving home tonight (@11pm) we got to see some cooler auroral activity behind us, made us want to turn around and drive towards it :)

my mothers family was originally from hinckley, as was some of me2's mother's family. turns out my grandmother knew her great aunt. i'm sure we'll find out more of who knew whom as we dig further into this.

You used to be able to search plates to see if your vanity plate was taken. I was unable to find it just now.
You can also look up someone's Drivers License status. That's pretty cool.
