It was a bit of a drive back, a little nerve-wracking with the wet roads, but I made it back. It was indeed a fun evening and it's too bad we didn't get more people. Well maybe next time.
Glad to hear you had such a great time! Wish we could have made it...we considered stopping in on our way back from Dulut',but had a little boy with crossed legs at home waiting!
Got 2 major Christmas gifts taken care of that we have to take with us on vacation in 2 weeks. ( I do Christmas early!)Wouldn't have had time next week as B has to get the dock and boats out and set for winter.
Glad you made it back okay, Allison. Those black wet roads are a bit of a nerve-wracking experience at night. Hope everyone else made it okay.
Lady Lou - Glad you got your shopping done. We did miss you though.
Inks has everything outside put away this morning already. He didn't sleep in this morning. Small wonder being he napped last night. He's such a night owl - not!! LOL!!
Driving in rainy weather sure is interesting. I'm glad we left when we did. There's wind advisories out for later today. Rain and wind is not a combination I'm terribly fond of.
There was one time at about the Stacy exit that suddenly everything slowed down and then stopped. The guy behind me obviously had not been paying attention. He headed towards the ditch in order to avoid rear-ending us. Luckily he didn't get all the way in - though he did get off at the next exit. He may have needed to change his drawers! LOL!!
So I'm thinking if the Twins do get to the World Series and even win it, instead of the T-shirts and stuff saying something about being champions, instead they should simply read:
no i haven't gotten my homer hankie yet, terry. i'm not sure i want to because i'll confess to being a bandwagon fan. i haven't been to a twins game since last season, and when i started going they started their slump. no need to change that now, considering i'm very much a jinx on them. i've been to one game in my life that they won, and i'm pretty sure that was a result solely of the girl factor. or it could be that they just played a team that sucked.
my TV debut is 11:00 am on channel 45, and rerun at 11:00 am on FOX Sports Net
"Environmental Journal"
I haven't seen the cut, so my guess is I'll look like some idiot stumbling around in the woods, then trying to sound like an expert. Should be good for a laugh.
Sorry we didn't make it to the get together Saturday. I think I had a little stomache bug, spent most of my time up north curled up on the couch while Marley worked.
Glad you guys all had a good time and made it home safely!
We did have a couple good things happen. There was a buck in the woods next to our driveway when we got there Friday night, I finally heard the snorting thing they do! Then driving home tonight (@11pm) we got to see some cooler auroral activity behind us, made us want to turn around and drive towards it :)
see, and all we got to see on the way back on sunday morning was rain.
and on today's episode of as the world shrinks...... my mothers family was originally from hinckley, as was some of me2's mother's family. turns out my grandmother knew her great aunt. i'm sure we'll find out more of who knew whom as we dig further into this.
I can't even afford to get the special loon or deer plates, at I think, $35, let alone personalize (vanity)it. But if you could, using 7 spaces or less...hmmmmm
Actually NO. Everything I am and do, I am & do for my family & friends. It's fun to get away from 'it all' and I thank all of you for letting me think it occasionally.
Good Evening!
The stars are shining up here. Hope the clearer skies hold through tomorrow.
BTW - Spiking the soup isn't necessary. It's marvelous the way it is...but you're welcome to spike your own if you have a mind to do so.
Prepping soup fixin's here. BBL
Marley? Artemis? Do you have a bee-hive either at home or at your cabin?
Before I forget, be sure to take your time driving north and enjoy the color change. Amazing what a week will do.
And watch out for suicidal deer crossing the road around the lake!
I hear it's cloudy in the cities. Not here! The sun is shining bright and beautiful!
It's gonna be a great day!!
the sun's just poking its head out here right now.
Sup Al? Haven't seen either of them for awhile. Green wasn't a big fan of the new format for some reason.
Twins are rockin!! 11-2 Bottom of the 8th. 4th inning kicked ass. Game 5 in Oakland tomorrow @ 5.
Win Twins!!
Hello!
For those that made it up today, thanks for a great day and evening!
We had a nice fire until after dark when it started sprinkling so we came inside and played some great games.
Wish that others could have made it...the more the merrier.
Good food, great friends and lots of laughs. What could be better?!?!

me2 dropepd me off at 330 or so at which point i was far too tired to post much of anything.
Glad you got home okay, ares.
I just found me2's salad and bowl in the fridge.
Me2 - Email me and let me know how we can get that to you later today.
check your email, terry.
check your email, ares.
We've got the last load of laundry in the dryer and we're packing up to head back to the cities. Sure is gray, wet and yucky here today.
I'll be excited to see the color change again next week.
have a safe trip back, terry.

A nap sounds like a good thing to plan next.

TWINS WIN!!! Bring on the Angels. Only one more series until the big dance!
What a nail biter today. 5-4
damn straight, cluemaster! even though anaheim took out the yankees i still think we can take them down.
Everyone got their homer hankies yet?!? We do and we're ready for the big dance!!
So I'm thinking if the Twins do get to the World Series and even win it, instead of the T-shirts and stuff saying something about being champions, instead they should simply read:
"CONTRACT THIS"
i agree, aw.

You can have seven spaces on a vanity plate.

easy. arestoy. except i have 2 cars and that wouldn't work for both, and i have u of mn plates on them instead.
I figured out the 2nd one and 1/2 of your 1st one. I did not know that about you ;)...that you have 2 vehicles hahahaha
yeah there's a 69 in the second: 8+1 = 9 and half of 12 is 6.
THX1138
how did i know that one was coming, thx? :)
Cuz I'm predictable?
Nice link THX--thanks
You used to be able to search plates to see if your vanity plate was taken. I was unable to find it just now.
You can also look up someone's Drivers License status. That's pretty cool.
Wait a minute...are you calling ME vain???
It's all about you, isn't it, me2?
you? vain? nah. never woulda guessed it.
Actually NO. Everything I am and do, I am & do for my family & friends.
It's fun to get away from 'it all' and I thank all of you for letting me think it occasionally.
My choice for vanity plate would be "Echo", but it's already taken.
actually i'm guessing with how much she loves their truck that hers would say "me2stoy".
well, either that or "69me2"
I wouldn't put a 69 on my plates. maybe ... BGRNMST
lemme guess: bring green m&ms today?
MM2KIDS
Me Me2 & Kids ---ooops not you TMK
How about "ISTOLIT" That should make people wonder.
i like it, aw.
