So onto other subjects. Would anyone be interested in a weekend stay at one of the lakehouses at Superior Shores (www.superiorshores.com) as part of a murder mystery weekend? It would cost about $80 to cover the weekend stay and food and everything, but we would need 10 people to commit to going. I'm thinking sometime between now and the Medallion Hunt.

no, I left the door unlocked cuz I knew he would come back to eat, I just popped in from work in the middle of the day and sure as shit he was sitting on the couch watching tv! Havn't talked to the parents yet, It seems they were out of town and had someone else watching their kids. Oh well, life goes on....just waiting for the next thing to happen....they say they come in three's right? so I guess that leaves one more to go!

LL - You might want to call Crossroads anyway now and get to know them if this is an ongoing thing. They offer counselling and are available by phone during crisis situations. Another thing you might want to think about if this is a tendency is to both agree on a safe place for running to so that you know he's safe and he knows he won't be dragged back until he's ready. We did that with the daughter. There was a friend whose mother I trusted and they agreed to be the safe place. It worked out great.

Going to get into work early today. Lots going on and I need to be on top of it.

Just a little note. Show alot of compassion no matter how pissed off you are w/ him. He's trying to tell you something so you need to sit down and listen.

Keep this in mind when dealing w/ someone who takes your kid in when they are running away and don't tell you right away. Would you rather they harbor you child or have your child not trust anyone so they take to the street. And live w/ other runaways on the street.

So what about the first weekend after New Year's? That would be January 3-5. Would people be available then? Would you be willing to do it then? I took a group up there last year that same weekend and they all seemed to think that having that retreat after the holidays was really much more helpful than tiring. It is a luxury resort after all with a hot tub and everything.

Also, since there seems to be some interest, but not quite enough, I'm contemplating doing it as a joint event between this group and my singles club. In some ways I think that would add to the atmosphere as there would be a lot of "mysterious strangers". Would anyone who was wanting to go have a problem with that?

afternoon, dear. is it halloween already?

Was just over on the east side and saw 3 stray dogs running around (2 were together). The one ran away from me when I tried to help- he's a little scrawny thing -same type as my neighbors dog but I don't know what she has. I talked with a man who had 2 dogs in his yard already. He told me that the 2 had been running around together for the past couple of days. 1 white too much hair in his face I'm surprised he could see & 1 fat dauchaun type. So if anyone wants a dog- head over to the east side. 1 block east of Payne roughly 1 block south of Maryland.

ya know, i was thinking. is the hot tub up there a one person hot tub or a many person hot tub? cuz if its one i'm not gonna go cuz i know me2 will be hogging it the whole weekend. which brings up another important point. 10 people. 3 bedrooms. y'all really sure you want me2 and i both at this under those circumstances? ;)

If we get the one I want, it's a 4 person hot tub. And then there are three bedrooms (two with queen beds, one with twin beds), a loft with a queen bed, and a queen size sofa sleeper, plus the couch could sleep a couple of people.
