i mean me2 won't be there, i probably won't be there, and without us there really is no party :)

Boy are you cocky Ares. They can still get together-just not with me. I hope people go and have a wonderful time-I feel like I'm missing out a little.

Goodmorning everyone-I didn't win the lotto on Saturday :( I expected to since I had such a great overall day--which are 'very few and inbetween' but 3 of my numbers popped just not all together :(

me? cocky? oh come now. hasn't it been determined more than once that when you're not around this thread is dead? and when we're both around we just feed off of each other and liven the thread up.

Hello!

What a beautiful day in the north country. Wish you were all here!

Marley and Artemis - I think you can take Inks' truck off the list for painting. Seems the engine went on it. I think we're junking it. Bummer. At least that's one less vehicle to carry insurance on.

Going to start some lasagna for supper. BBL

NO! That is a bummer! It would have been cooler! But good thing you found about the bad engine sooner as opposed to later.

You guys picked a beautiful week to be on vacation and up N. Have a great time!

font made transparent for the comfort of the men in the crowd but a testicular torsiontakes the cake (don't ask for an explanation, you're all smart and can figure out what the two words mean separately). happened to my brother when he was a freshman in high school. and yay me, it runs in the family. nate just ended up being the first one whose didn't happen in utero.

December wasn't working too well for my singles club either, so I think I'm going to go ahead and move the murder mystery to February. Not sure yet which weekend exactly but I should know soon.

AW, Are you writing the Murder Mystery? The other one you did sounded pretty cool. Or is it something they do up there to promote business in the off season?

Mon, 10/14/2002 - 3:24 PM Permalink

his was caught before any permanant damage occurred. when they were in there they surgically "tethered" it to keep it from happening in the future. my now 10 year old cousin was born missing one, with the assumption that the same thing happened to him in utero, and his remaining one was tethered as well. allegedly he gets a dimple when its cold :)

but ya know, there's a reason i wasn't the sadistic guy and decided against posting a link. cuz ya know, every guy's gonna click that link, and double over in commiserative pain.

I'll vouch for that. I wish I would of read your post prior to Ian's. There needs to be disclaimers in here.

I'd be writing it. They don't offer anything like that up there. They just rent the places out. But I thought it would be a cool setting. Maybe we could pretend it's a ski lodge.

February may be more doable here. We'll have to see what happens.

Artemis - the drill around here today is figuring out whether we could get another engine. The engine in that truck isn't made any longer and the fit is too tight to think of anything else from what I understand. At least he had a fun time with it while he had it.

And we did pick a good week for vacation thus far. It was beautiful here today!

Definatly cooler!

Terry- Marley said that it would be easier to junk, but there is the possibility of finding a used engine in a junkauto recycling yard. If you decide to go that route, let him know what kind of engine (and year) and he can do some checking around.

they're called auto recycling yards these days, artemis?

Artemis - It's a Ford 232, 1964...not made for years and years. We are probably going to junk it. He didn't pay but $500 for it in the first place. Inks just wishes now he would have taken the offer someone gave him to buy it...for considerably more than the $500 he paid for it. However he's still thinking about what to do.

I like the idea of auto recycling yards!

Update:

We're having Inks' truck towed back here and we'll see if anyone can come up with an engine that will work. Between the tow on Saturday and the tow today, that truck is becoming worth more all the time.

It's been another beautiful clear day here. There is the s word forecast for tomorrow though. We may just decide to have a bit of a fire later. It could be the last one of the season.

Good Morning!

Thanks ares for helping me get back here. My usual link was getting me nowhere fast.

There's a new view out my window this morning. The truck is sitting back further than I thought it was going to be. Inks is glad to have it back even if it isn't running. It so suits him.

It was 19 degrees here this morning...but warming fast in the sun. It's up to 27 now!

Better sign off here. Manic Wednesday is being dealt with by folks that aren't used to it and they may be calling for some help if anything doesn't work right.

Have a way cooler day!

Good Afternoon! It's still sunny and up to 43 degrees here.

Only one phone call this morning and it wasn't anything too serious. They managed to get through the manic part of Wednesday and to get the transfer done with only one phone call. And the call they made was because it's an oddity that I didn't think to tell them might occur. They did a good job!

We're heading out to take some photos of the leaves around the lakes or wherever.

I love being on vacation!!!

Yup ares, feeling pretty lucky this day and week.

Looks from the radar that you all must be having some flurry activity. Seems a tad bit early for this stuff, doesn't it? I sure hope this winter isn't like this fall has been. All the rain we've had would add up to feet of the white stuff.

Good Evening!

We had stars and moonlight - great for another fire! Now it's clouded over and there's snow on the way by the looks of the radar. Wonder if there'll be enough to stick on the ground by morning.

Goodnight, SCDs and MCL everyone!
