Artemis - Glad to see you check in. We missed youz on Saturday. Hope you're feeling better. It would have been even more fun with you guys there...and I'm majorly jealous about the auroral borealis! We can't seem to get out of the cloud cover lately.
As for the personalized plates...I have never thought of anything I liked well enough, to pay that much, to have to live with whatever for so long.
Here's a link to the plate site to see if there's one for you in the state. I personally like the word 'LICENCE' which may be available. Unfortunately I already have a personalized plate.

If you didn't have to pay for it...and you have to live with the plates they give you no matter what so may as well make it what you want.
I figure license plates are just the symbol of another tax we all pay. Then after so many years they make you get new ones anyway whether the ones you have are beat up or not. I can't really see paying more for the tax of owning a vehicle.
Between the tabs and the drivers license costs, I'd just as soon put any other money into something more fun.

and that's precisely why the specialty plates i have are collegiate, terry. i put in a $25 donation into the scholarship fund at the u per car each yearm and in exchange i get cool plates with the gophers logo on my cars. the only thing that sucks is that the state dcided that using generic plates for all of them was better than using um### which i was hoping to get. instead i've got plates that start with bc and bj.

does anyone know of any teen runaway shelters here in st paul? chris took off last wednesday and we havn't seen him since. he can't be staying outside with all the rain, we figure he found someplace to stay but I can't believe any of his friends parents would let him stay for this long without contacting me or the police. can this get any worse!!!!!!!

LL - Check with Crossroads in St. Paul. They would know where there are shelters. They were a godsend when my daughter used to run. They also offer counseling for the runner and the family. They also helped with one of my daughter's friends when she decided she could no longer live with her family at the age of 17. They were a wonderful resource. It has been a few years now since then, but last I knew, they were on Payne Ave.

That particular error is a pet peeve of mine. It's not just a typo, it's an epidemic. It's gotten to the point where so many people make that mistake now, that I think some people actually believe it's correct. I've seen things written by perfectly intelligent people that have perfect spelling except for that error. I've seen official documents put out by companies where they make that error. If someone doesn't stand up and point it out as an error, then it will just spread even further. Loose is an adjective. It has an "s" sound at the end. It's the opposite of "tight". Lose is a verb. It has a "z" sound at the end. It's the opposite of "win" and "find". Everyone clear now? :-P
