How's the new digicam working out for ya ESD?  What did you end up getting? I'm sure you'll be the perfect person to give any suggestions to THX since you just finished shopping around for one.

 

I got the one you suggested CM it has not arrived yet.
THX academicsuperstore.com has student discounts if scribe has a student ID all you have to do is send them a jpg of it.

PHOTOALBUMNOTE

One of the most compelling features of our webcam is the opportunity for viewers to save favorite pictures and add them to a photo album, for viewing by everyone who visits.

Unfortunately, a number of captions in questionable taste also have been added. For that reason, new photos will not be added to the album until they are reviewed for content. This may take from a few hours to a day or so.

I had somebody ask me to put a "south st. paul" city councilmember's sign in my yard for Chris Lehmann....(oldtimer---you are on the list to be asked I bet)

then as I was out for a walk....I walked by 3 young men (18-25ish) and I over heard them talking about Madland.....anyways the guy I heard said that he was very smart in high school.....so he said it was o.k. for him to put a sign in his yard.

actually I guess it is par for the course with them, that site's a crap shoot anytime you try to access it....

Has anyone who has Comcast internet and cable tv signed up for their phone service?  They have a deal where you can get the three for $99.  I already have the internet and tv and pay $98, but I'm not sure about their phone service.  Is phone service phone service??  Seems like a no-brainer, but I'm kind of hesitant to leave Qwest for some reason.  Best reason seems to be a savings of $43 a month though.

the phone includes the little Extra's as well...like "different ring tones-for long distance" etc...

I have that Comcast deal OT.  It's probably the best deal around for what you get.  They also give you discounts on the upgrades of each service as well.

So what do I do?  Do I cancel my Qwest first and then sign up?  That might be a problem because the phone is in my father's name and he's been dead since 1980.  I know my son, who lives in our family home, can't change that number because the name holder has to do it.  I suppose I could find an old death certificate around here somewhere.  I'd like to keep it in my Dad's name though.   Then no one can find me.  hehe

Does anyone know of any duplexs or townhouses available to rent in the SSP/IGH area?  Two of my daughters are looking.  They don't want to spend more than $1,000 a month though.

They looked at that one Kitch.  I like it, but they were distracted by the other peoples furniture.  I told them to imagine it with their stuff.  Only the top is available now, but they share the deck and has a nice big yard and a nice neighborhood, as you well know.  I'm still trying to steer them to it.  Thanks.

hmmm.... there is a house that was up for rent on Summit.....I think that it still is....

could be up for sale soon. Its a house accross the street from the tennis courts and has a "white box truck" in the yard.

What do you know about that place, Kitch?  I drove by and saw some guy in the back so got out and he was gone.  Knocked on the door and heard sawing or something so went in the back hall but it looks like workers are doing some work there.  Looked nice from what I saw when I walked in.  Do you know who owns it?  No one is living in it right now.

I just know that there was a for rent sign out front for about a year....I heard they are fixing it up to sell.

I just thought they were going to paint and carpet it...didn't know was a "big" remodeling job.....

But if selling the house could be a "DEAL" to get it before it gets listed....

Oh another house is empty.....big green house (has a U shaped drive) on the north end of the same block as the duplex on 16th. (I don't know who owns that either).That house has been sitting empty for a while now......something about the old man is in a nursing home or dead...i'm not sure.

Are you talking about the house facing Steichens?  Around the corner between 15th and 16th?  One of the daughters is home now so we're going to drive over there again.  Maybe we can flush someone out of the house and ask for a name or something.

We went up and got a tour of the house.  It's perfect!  He was going to be ready to put it on the market in about two weeks, but he's giving her first shot at it.  Boy Kitch, if she gets it I'll owe you!  I like the idea of her buying instead of renting anyway.  Cross your fingers or if you're so inclined, say a prayer!
