Oh, that's right.  I remember saying that I used to live right up the street from where you work.  Across from Resurrection cemetery.  Oh, and those 'beautiful' planes; you get pretty sick of them when you live there and it feels like they're landing on your deck.  The view of the valley and Mpls is pretty nice though.

Hello!  Finally a day that I can actually sit and do whatever.  And it looks like it is finally going to be a nice day!  Not too hot, but still sunny.

Our kids don't start school till Tuesday, either.  I DO wish they could send out the supplies list a little earlier.  We just received ours last week, not impossible to get everything on time, but it sure would be nice to have a few weeks.

Our youngest is going to be in "community kindergarten" this year.  She won't get to go to real kindergarten next year cause she doesn't turn 5 till December.  Both of the older girls went through a similar program, but their's was only 4 days a week, while Natalie's going 5 days for 2 1/2 hours.  Next year's kindergarten is full day.....It's pretty hard to find a kindergarten in St. Paul that isn't full day anymore....they charge for that in #197, Frosti???

OH!  And I saw your post about looking for a camera, THX.....sent you an egram a couple days ago.  Wanted to make sure you caught it.  A friend of mine has a pretty decent used digital she's going to sell.

It was apparently not a good omen for us!  We were driving North in the 2nd car, because the first one is in for MAJOR repairs.....not good in the first place, and then ran over something on the freeway and sliced about 4 inches in the sidewall of the LR tire.  All I kept thinking was thank God it wasn't BOTH left tires.  We really would have been screwed then!!

THX - no worries!  I just saw you were looking and knew she was selling....it's cool when things like that work out.  There are SO many real decent cameras available for around $100, you shouldn't have a hard time finding one.  The tough part will be deciding on one.  I have been very happy with the Olympus brand...but it's also the only brand of digital I've owned, so don't know a lot about what else is out there.

OK-I have had a Quest cell phone for almost 7 years! all summerI got sales pitches in the mail 'junk mail' to SWITCH my service from my 1000 anytime minutes

(includes long distance) at $39.99


TO a new plan. The new plan would have me exchange my cellphone in (getting the new gps chipped phone)and besides the 1000 anytime minutes I would recieve nation wide service (for if I travel)for the same price (39.99) plus $1.75 for service charges.

 

I didnt want to change because I didnt want to pay more fees AND I really dont travel out of Minnesota that much.BUT MY POINT IS: IT was typical 'junk mail' letters from QUEST 
OFFERING
AN "OPTIONAL CHOICE" TO SWITCH.

 

Now 2 days ago I get a letter in the mail from Quest...telling me that if I dont comply and call and send my phone in by September 15? My service WILL be interupted and will not work until I get on the new plan! !!!! WTF!!!!

No more choices to switch!

For 2 monthes they give me the choice and because I didn't take it nicely they force me to do it?!!!!

 

ALSO note- a few monthes ago when the phone bills came with additional $1.50 and 50 cent fees for that gps chip and special 911 services to your cell phone, weather you have it in your current cellphone or not you were still being charged for it. 

even 2 weeks ago I called to pay my phone bill and the person asked me if I would like to havea new phone, and I said "my phone is just fine thank you" I am happy with it...and they dropped it. They NEVER said I would have to do this! I am floored and dissapointed in QUEST-

the ONLY reason I ever liked them for my cell use is because if I dont want to use my minutes or my phone is OFF or in the truck than the phone will ring to my HOME phone after 4 rings! ALSO I only have 1 BILL :)

Your old phone is not compatible with the new, improved service. My wife works there, and she had to get a new one too. 'course her total is only $20.00 employee discount.

We just signed up for Quest long distance a couple months ago, because there were no fees. Now, I guess there is going to be $3.95 a month or something. so we'll be dropping it.

Incidently, and this is semi-serious, if Quest doesn't show a profit by the end of the year, they may "shut the doors" I guess that means bankruptcy. My wife could lose 40% of her pension.

I got my LETTER today from Quest!!!! %*(&!!!!!!!

I just switched last month to the 5 cents a minute plan!
NOW they are gonna charge a $2.99 per month fee??!!!!!! :(

Doesnt matter if it is a good deal still and better still than other long distance-they just began offering this deal a couple months ago TOO!!!

me2.....I cancelled my long distance and bought a phone card at Sam's Club for something like 4.5 cents a minute.

That's what ESD and I did. We got rid of our long distance a long time ago and just use those prepaid calling cards. It's a whole lot easier than having to pay for a service you don't use that often, at least for us anyway.

My wife tells me to use the sams club calling card....but I don't (I make like 2 calls a year and forget).
