Mr. Tom: As you know... I'm/we're/some of us working on a really great way to distingush all us Coolerphiles out in the field as we toil away the wee hours. How do you like, "Cooler-head Prevail"? Just a thought!
Just got back home from chairing the committee I do for work. Like the discussion about the races during the summer. We could be reading more into these clues than is really there, but often the clues refer to activities in the parks other times of the year. When did the message "Note To All Hunters" appear on the discussion?
All, I really hate to leave you guys, but I cannot stay awake a minute longer. I'm hoping my faithful eyes/ears/legs will be able to awaken me with the ringing of the phone in about 20 minutes... but I may be sleeping the sleep of "Coolerphile Worn To A Frizz." We'll see.
If I don't make it back, good luck to all of you... THIS is going to be an important clue... I'm a Pisces... so I know these thing. However, do not be disappointed if you also need tomorrow nite's clue to cinch things (this is my thinking).
Last year was my first year hunting. My then boyfriend now husband sat at home and waited for the clue on the web, while I sat in my car with the cell phone waiting to hear what the clue was. I was out digging until 1:00 am the night before it was found. I was digging within a few feet of where it was found the next morning. That's what fuels my medallion fever!
Hey fellow cooler-philes. Except for the wasted bandwidth on 'Iv'e found it' and silly arguements this has been great this year. Tons better than last year.
Greenslvs2, accept my enthusiatic excitement about your club ideas. Mr. Tomski, I'll be there tonight with a white bandana. Great idea! :)
Good luck all. Tonight will be crucial. Hopefully it won't have been thrown too far by someone's shovel!
Just got back from Cherokee about 10 minutes ago. Me and my sweetie were out there looking for about 2 hours. There must be 500 people there. The pyramids are there, the plume of smoke is there, the dome is there and the never ending Chair O Key, and more than likely the medallion is there somewhere too, but damned if I know where. The ground is so trashed from everyone, that I don't think there's an untouched spot. If you decide to go out to Cherokee, bring your gardening tools. I guarantee you a shovel wont cut it.
Per the "community" comment a while back (sorry, forgot the author)...where someone from outside finds it. Not all "outsiders" are outsiders. Being a St. Paulite / Ramseyan is really an attitude of community, some of the outsiders have the community spirit. Face it, not everyone can live in the city where the pride is back.....
mr.tomski you just made my day!!!

If anyone wants a partner to go and hunt for the medallion with them, I am willing to go.
Anyone else for the headband idea? It will be a test market for next years cooler logos, shirts, hats etc....

If you need a clue, and need to ask
you may need to look a little closer
It has been found, as it was at mounds
in a cluster of clay and grass
Yea I may need a litttle helper to dig
does anybody know when the medallion hunt starts next year??
wish i was closer to st.paul or i'd go...by the way my name is mary...todd is my hub
what an event...a hot dog and hot chocolate stand is even at cherokee
Your name explains it ...
Mr. tomski if you would like me to go with, just let me know.
Count me in on the headband, tomski.
Where do you live little helper
think it will be found tomorrow you all??? i hpe so, this is driving me nuts!!
Just got home from work. Has anyone found it yet?
Roseville
NO

I hope when it's found, it's one of us. Most people who don't hunt think we're nuts.
I hope it will be found by me!:-)
Could someone send us the clue at 11:30? We can't get it on this dumb thing.
Ilive in maplewood--you dont have school tomorrow do you
Nope
Usually several people post the clue right after it comes out. Who's going out tonight to hunt?
S and P- i have a dumb question, can't you get the clue if you click on Winter Carnival Page at the top of this page?
We're going if the clue is good. Today's was no help.
ALSO ,how much snow do you move per minute---spm.
To any one who is bothering the Big Green Chair at the Bottom of the High Bridge. That is NOT part of CP, it's peace park. Please "let it be"
JayBird I found a connection. The mountain communications center is back up.

I am going out terry. Rootin' Tootin' yes siree!!!!
We tried everything and we can't get that darn clue.
Re: The big green chair in "Peace Park". It's not even in the map book. I agree with Cheryl. Forget it.

I do think Cherokee Park is a good lead
My boyfriend and sister are gonna look tonight
just wanted to say good luck to you all!!!
I will find it!
I was about 10 ft. away myself for about the 5th or 6th time in about 20 yrs.of digging.since i was 14 and my dad took me. This cooler beats all
a metal yard rake could work wonders
I'm betting its under all the hard packed snow from the truck traffic
That seemed to be the only place nobody was digging tonight.
RED DOG , should
RED DOG, should I head over to the sight and wait for a call from you?
Green Team: Your 1997 near miss is heartening for us hunters this year. Which clue are you refering to from 1997?
I'll be wearing a black NWA hat in leu of a white bandana.
Its in a lump of clay, i'm sure of it
When did the "Note to All Hunters" show up on the page? Wasn't there at 6:30 this evening.
heard of a huge party at Mounds Park...free beer...tons of kegs....who's game? ;)
I don't have a white bandana either, but if you are out there in the morning I'll be the one with goofy long winter hat

Sorry about the soap box thing....
