Do you think since everyone knows the medallion is plastic, that no one would use a metal detector... so they might put it in something metal this year without the same worry of someone finding it with a metal detector? Or is my brain frozen too?

Didn't Joe M. threaten to blow up Cherokee last night. If I am not mistaken, threatening to damage property owned by the city or county or state or U.S. is a felony offense. Especially if the threat is made in a public forum such as this chat room!

The rules say you must turn in the medallion immediately when you find it. However, is someone has it and hasn't turned it in, how can you prove he didn't just find it and has been holding on to it?

It can't be in a Altoids container because it's metal and that would be defeating the purpose of changing the medallion into plastic.

Double divide could be referring to Ramsey and Dakota and the changing of streets from lilydale to W. Water Street.
