Is anyone else having trouble refreshing the page? Could it be that the very large photo is causing delays? If so, would the post-er please delete? Thanks.

HEY WHAT DOES TODAYS CLUE MEAN TODAY?

Desire-to-win

Pat, are you on line? If so, what do you think.

Matt the last thing this strained server needs is a monster graphic. I like the 'line idea' someone mentioned (sorry I can't remember who, I'm as woogy as most of us are by now). Tomorrow's clue will probably give a crossing reference. If my pants are wet, its only the cuffs, not the seat (at least as far as tip goes). Should we have a Cooler union (it can't be a reunion because we've mostly never met, though I've met

Alex's people) at the parade this weekend.

I'm rambling even for me. I had better go to work, if you see my Cake girl out this morning, say hi, and ask her what's up with that Clayland deal.

There isn't much left of Cherokee. Im off to work. Good luck to those nightshifters that are heading to CP today!

Morning water-coolers! I'm all rested up and the Boss gave me the day off, WAY COOL! Be seeing you diehards at the park. Good luck to all I think today will be the day.

A cape and a whip! HOW COULD I BE SO STUPID! Of course it could only mean Western Hills Park. You know, Adolphous St. ...get it? Adolphous, Larpentuer, Whip and Cape. It's all so clear now! Let's see, I'll need a shovel, a coat, a hat, a boot, flashlight, candles, flares, some jerkey to survive on, .... Oh yeah, I'd better call my mom. She can sew my name on the back of my clothes. Well, I'm off. Wish me luck.

Jeff, what about all the other clues?

Does anyone know what today's clue means? I can't figure it out. Cape, whip, I think of a circus ringmaster.

Tue, 02/03/1998 - 7:57 AM Permalink
Dan Fish

If you rearrange the letters in cape and whip you get Chippewa. you have to wonder.

Where is Chippewa Park?

Tue, 02/03/1998 - 8:14 AM Permalink

Dan - thank you. I believe that is correct. Chippewa. That's the correct spelling, isn't it?

Tue, 02/03/1998 - 8:15 AM Permalink

Cyber girl - Chippewa is the name of the street that runs along the park. Also, there is Baker St.

Tue, 02/03/1998 - 8:22 AM Permalink
Deb Speidel

chippewa is the street on east side of the park...

Tue, 02/03/1998 - 8:22 AM Permalink
Dan Fish

Yes that is the correct spelling but I was still half asleep when I posted it. Cyber there is no Chippewa Park. Chippewa is a street name

Tue, 02/03/1998 - 8:22 AM Permalink

chippewa is a street along cherokee park .MY grandma used to live at 750 chipewwa

so what about where baker street meets chippewa, but you cant really see the bathrooms there, and you can see the smoke stack, but not the cathedral-----HMMMMMMMM????

Good morning! Stuck at work again. Now I have to go read about 8 hours worth of messages. Anything more enlightening than cape and whip make Chippewa?

Tue, 02/03/1998 - 8:39 AM Permalink

Todays's clue Cape and Whip rearannged spell out Chippewa. This helps to place the treasure between Cherokee blvd and Chippewa st. maybe the ball field at the south end of the park which is the intersection of cherokee and chippewa. Or at the other end of the park where Cherokee blvd and Chippewa st intersect

Deb my thoughts exactly I think Baker is too far north though for some strange reason. Call it instincts. Yehaw the boy is off to school so I can go play in the snow!

Any discussion on the idea that the clue says "we don't recommend such attire" means that it's NOT on the Chippewa St. side? BTW, I like the Cool Whip container idea. But I bet it's just taped under the lid or something. A whole container would be rather large and you'd think it'd shown up by now.

RED DOG, Oll'yeller and I are having coffee now, will hope to be on sight in about 2 hours. this Water cooler is getting so slow.

Marz: Since you were most recently there... have folks been wandering through that little grove of trees between the 3 pyramids and Annapolis, and have the masses ruined the sledding hill yet? I'm just wondering how far people are taking this. I'm too far from St. Paul to see for myself.

I'm not sure I'd be feeding O'll Yeller any coffee JayBird. Then again maybe it can't hurt in the hunt.

Sax, the grove of trees is also a kind of steep reviene. my opinion? Vucanis Rex wouldn't desire a free for all in that mess.

Marz: I know it's not in them thar trees, but so many people look in silly places. Deb: I have to believe it's on the Annapolis end of the park because when it was last hidden at Cherokee it was over more by Baker. I think the hiders are more clever than to retread the same old ground, plus Annapolis is the best explanation for "city streets." I think the sledding hill has to be in view. You can still see all of the clue objects from spots at both the top of the hill and the bottom. I, too, think the NSP stack is the one they're speaking of, but I haven't ruled out the smaller Landmark stack yet, visible from points near Annapolis.

5705 continued The man who I think may have found it picked it out of the sand at the end of the slide closest to the sliding hill. which is close to the building with pyramids and chippewa and closer to annapolis then to baker. I don't want to beleive it either and I've been out digging since then cuz he didnt turn it in. I saw an entry on here sunday nite from a guy who said he found it but was going to wait until after 12th clue to turn it in. NOW I WONDER.

I have not been on or out since last night. What are the ideas on the cape and whip part? Any input please.

Tue, 02/03/1998 - 9:36 AM Permalink

fortunehunter: "cape" + "whip" ...unscramble... = "Chippewa"

Nice to meet so many of you last night digging. I still think It's by the point of Cherokee and chippewa. But could be anywhere. The east part of the park is relatively untouched. What do you think its in? A video box, CD case, cool whip container, bread bag, or other??

Wow deep! My brain is frostbit! Thanks but with all due respect don't you think that that is a pretty lame clue? At the risk of sounding blonde, no offense, but I dont' get it.

How can I tell who all the cooler room people are at the park? Did mr.tomski wear his white head band? I would love to put some faces to the names. I've had so much fun in this room!! Its really making this boring month fun!!

Greg Sax- have you thought that it is at Baker because of the "dough" clue, I think it was clue # 7.

Mr. Know It All

NO! There is no reason to think just because some moron hustled to his car, got on his cellphone and then sped away from the place, probably wanted to make someone else would think he found it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was probably frustrated and cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
