I know Green. I may get 1 or 2 things right, but the rest is just pure guessing and listening to others' ideas and seeing if they work....sucks not being a rocket scientist....
took the girls downtown with me last night, they were so excited the camara crew filmed them, they think they are "movie stars!' LOL! best night of their lives!
I let my oldest come along with NorthernLights and me as we scoped/hunted whatever you want to call it - wandering around aimlessly in parks at night. She actually did pretty well, a lot better than I had expected. Except she kept saying she was thirsty, and was walking like she was in the desert.
Couldn't bear the thought of the PP - WAY too many people in an enclosed space for my comfort.
That is too cool that they're beginning to share the enthusiasm of the hunt with you! Emily is the only one who's actually diligent enough to look around, and tries to analyze the clues. She's 8.
From one mother to others - remember, if one of your daughters finds something, be a hunter first and a mother later. It's not a good idea to tell them to put anything back without first checking it out!!!!
Hey LL, I go with my Dad and my little brother, he's 8. I'm 33...but he loves it!!! He can't wait to just get out and dig. He hates when we just drive around and scope--he wants to work.....
This is in response to the above poster who asked if Clue 7 could be from a poem. Someone posted a link last night to a poem by Mary Walker called "She Ran, She Ran." Sorry I didn't book mark it, but that person surmised that the connection = Marydale.
so, let's "ass"ume it hasn't been found and that guy was an idiot and move on....are people still all over the board? I still want to check out BC today, even tho lots are sold on Harriet...
You have to admit, the writer has done a very good job this year.....look at us! We are all over the place - Battle Creek, Mounds, Marydale, Harriet Island, Kellogg, Cherokee....probably some other places I'm forgetting. That's a good hunt!
Well, daughter #1 and I are heading to HI. I'm not 100% convinced it's there, but it seems as good of a place as any right now....and a lot of the clues can work nicely there.
aw nuts! I gotta go...lunch with the family today....don't these people know there's a hunt goin' on? I gotta get them trained better that nothing else can take place until it's over...maybe i'll sneak on the computer at their place. Looks like I won't be able to hunt until after dinner. I'll keep my fingers crossed nobody finds it by then...good luck to all of you going out this afternoon.
'Marning, Gal!
I do this every year!!! LOL!!! And I'm never right!
Two Joes! in a row!!! Two Pair!!!

Good Morning!

There's snow!!!!!!
'Morning Gal; I am still stuck on Harriet.
Good Morning, Terry V.
Any thoughts about the "carpenter's beau"?
'Marning, Ter!

Where to, East?
Good Morning!
Last night by the time I went to bed, I was *sure* where to look. This morning, after re-reading some of the info, I am beginning to have some doubts.
Good Luck East...
'Marning, Mom!
Hello *MOM*;
mornin' green!
Mornin' TV, and everyone. Has anyone tried to find out if #7 is an actual exerpt of a poem?
'Marning, LL!
KT--good thought. I didn't do a whole lot of slogging this morning, but I didn't see where anyone tried that.
Almost sounds like Ogden Nash, or The dude who wrote Jabberwocky...
Hello KT and LL...
I don't recognize #7 as a poem, although it seems like a riddle of some kind...
took the girls downtown with me last night, they were so excited the camara crew filmed them, they think they are "movie stars!' LOL! best night of their lives!
I gotta go call my Mommy. BBL
THere is some kind of Jabberwoky web-site that I came across in looking for anagrams..

they came out diggin' with me for a bit, I told em' if they found it I'd take em' shopping, they were lookin' pretty hard!
LL - How old are they?
peanut (my step daughter) is 11 and her friend is 10.
Gotta send out a thanks to the camera crew, u guy's really made their night!
That is too cool that they're beginning to share the enthusiasm of the hunt with you!

ya, I don't get a chance to do anything with just me and her so I thought this would be a good "family tradition" to start up.
Thanks Artemis! I am thinking Harriet this morning, it sounds good, and I haven't gone through it yet. Will try and get down there soon.

You too, MOM....hope you see you out and about today.
I think this clue is giving us two different people but with first or last name in common.
You know what, LL? I was thinking that they were 2 different people, too....
I don't know, tryin' to figure that one out.
