East Side, I had thought of that too. I just don't know that it's the one though. Things just don't totally add up for me. That's why I'm here and not out. I just don't feel things are kosher yet.
Went down to Harriet for a couple hours. Met Terry V and Inks and a friend from the North. I still have a hard time pinning it down there, but the sand at the playground seemed like a logical place that the sun isn't shining.
There are a lot of people there, not good at #'s but probably more than 50 and less than 100.
I had to bring daughter #1 home cause she was becoming cold and tired. We'll probably be out again before the sun goes down, and then in until after clue time.
Everyone is putting way too much stock into needing to see the capitol. I still say you have to read that clue carefully, and that you are not to be able to see the capitol. As far as those at Weida go...nice for the clues, not so good for finding the medallion...if yer thinking Weida...lemme save you some time. The park is small and easy to search. The medallion isn't there...I didn't leave a leaf unturned in Weida 3 days ago when I was there. Many came and left after me...if it was in Weida then its been found. But I'm sure that it wasn't. Wont be able to make it out until tonights clue...unless I get some revelation here, that is fine with me...cuz we are "the experts" and we still are split about 15 ways. See you tonight at PP, hopefully.
I gave up at harriett around 1:00 and went to see the parade. I also stopped at Rice to take pictures around 2:30 this morning, after the embers gathering, i got some good shots of the ice sculptures and the parade. I got a nice pic of Norm Coleman.. cruised by mounds on the way home, it looked busy, but not packed. I was sold on Harriet, but now I feel Mounds? (he he) the St. Paul police were in MAJOR force during the parade. Even though I was parked legally, paid meter, I didn't realize I had let my tabs lapse, hence the $60 ticket... could use some medallion cash bout now.. see everyone at the PP?
was gonna go out today but have no idea where to go! was at harriet til 3 am last night and had a good feeling at first but i just can't make all the clues fit because i have no idea what they mean!!
hi ares. i didn't end up making it last night. but i'll be there tonite with bells on. keep and eye out for me.. I'll be in a grey pea coat.. with a great hat with a yellow stripe. i'm so excited to be in the mix!
will do, orion girl. i kinda have to make sure i'm there tonight, because my partner in crime kinda scheduled herself to attend a concert this evening and she doesn't know if she'll be able to make it to the pp or not.
bensgbrat, KC0GRN, SilverNite give me cell a call if you guys/gals are interested. (295-1580). we could meet up either downtown, or you could park at my place and we can carpool to PP together since i live on west 7th. otherwise, like i said, look for me. i'll be the overwhelmed lost one. i plan on being there areound 10:30 ish? is that a good time?
I just wanted to drop in at least once and say welcome, and thanks for coming to the Cooler Crew spot here.
I'm the Editor-In-Chief of PeoplesForum.com, which basically means I oversee everything that goes on at the whole site. As you may have noticed, this area here is just one place (one "Member Folder") in a much bigger overall site. Above the Medallion Hunt area is the general year-round PPWC discussion area, and above that is a level with about 100 different Member Folders, each with their own sorta universe. (Most Member Folders are open to the public -- and some are even friendly.) Above that is the main level where we have our unmoderated public forums, organized by category.
Just wanted to let you know that we appreciate you spending time here, and help give you a sense of place. I hope you'll take the time to click around some and see what else is going on here at PeoplesForum.com -- and hopefully a lot of you will decide to stick around in the off-season and hang out with these seemingly pretty cool Twin Cities folks who've been living here at PF for the past year. They're lonely! ;-)
If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them. The easiest place to reach me around here is probably the "Help, Questions, and Suggestions" thread that's in this folder. There's also a bunch of places in PF HeadQuarters for that kind of stuff too. Or you can e-gram me, or e-mail me...or hell, call me if you want! 530-274-2474.
K, I'll get out of your hair now and leave you to your noodling. Again, welcome, and thanks for coming by.
<round of applause for Johnathan, Jason and the gang for setting this place up and gathering y'all together>
ares- sorry to hear about your hunting buddy. wouldn't she be upset if you found it tonite without her! i may actually try to get there a tad earlier than 10:30 then! thanks for the tip. you're guys are too nice.

The place where the sun ain't shining is a critical part of this hunt. There is so much that can be eliminated from this clue.
Perfect, grni!!!
Thanks for the invatation to join you all here folks. I'll try and pitch in.
Saint Mpls, that was me. Wink Wink.
Well, we know it couldn't have been me! Red! YUCK.

How's it going, Mom? So, what did you think o'HI?
MOM, have you been out today at all?
The place where the sun ain't shining is a critical part of this hunt
I'm thinking either where it's actually hidden or the sign post regarding Carver's cave.
Hi

Brilliant idea Steve ;-)
Heya CM. You been out at all?
Lotsa driving. Start to actually search in about 10 with the fam. Heading to IM 1st, then HI. I have some ideas about the trail area between IM & BC.
Right now, I'm out of ideas. Can I buy a vowel?
How about an "E"?
How about three?
Can I buy a vowel?
Is that what the kidsare calling it these days? "Dude, ya gotta check out the primo vowel I got"
$5 a vowel, make you howl

1) the offending post that popped up a help window has been removed.
2) me2 wasn't wearing a red coat at harriet island last nite around 2am. she and i were therearound 2am, but she wasn't in red.
Had to help the 3 year old remove the masterpiece in pencil that she had done in her room.
<sigh> It's always something, it seems.
I'm going to study the clues for a little bit, then take the whole dam family out - somewhere - probably HI for a while before the sun goes down.
Later!
I was there at 2 am - i had my red coat on!! i do not look like me 2 tho - at least i dont think so - she much, much prettier than I!!
We were at Harriet for about an hour. Saw Trent, and as we were leaving
{-------- this
drove up.
Did drive bys, at Mounds, Cherokee and Como.
