Well, that was fun.

You can only look at so many water coolers, and water cooler accessories before you get bored....

There's only one thing a boy that age gets that excited about, and I can't talk about it here.

I like to post wherever people are talking about the clues. Whether that is here, ableminds, a sweatshop in Botswana. I don't care. I am glad to see that the action is picking up all over the place.

I like it too, and will probably get a sweatshirt.

It will replace my "I slept with Jake" t-shirt.

I was kinda thinking though... I'm not always in the mood for a sweatshirt.... can you work it in to this?

What do you guys think about having a separate individual discussion for each clue to keep the ideas more organized? And use this main thread for general discussion on the hunt or posting ideas about many clues at a time?

Thoughts?

Terry

It's not been done before so it might be interesting. I do know that often several clues are discussed at one time so after the first couple, I don't know that it would work so well, but then who knows?

tim_the_hunter

I think that is a great idea, it will be hard to keep people focused on the actual clue in the actual thread though.

But if we all talked in the general thread and then posted clue specific ideas in each clue thread it would be sweet!

Terry

On the other hand, keeping up with the slogging is tough enough in one thread, much less multiples.

I don't follow the threads anyway. I just hit my Read New and it takes me where something is going on. I do feel that it would be a nice resource for clue specific ideas as Tim mentioned. I don't think that we'll get nearly the traffic that we've had in the past but I know how we are when we get on a roll. It would be easier to see if someone already noodled a clue specific idea by looking through a few posts vs a ton of non-related posts.

It would be a new idea and who knows how it would be received.

Pay Me

I agree with that Terry. I have a very difficult time keeping up with so many threads :eyeroll: Since I will be at home more then the parks this year my vote would be to keep to one thread!!

Terry

It's a new concept. One that will make archiving this year's discussion(s) a bit trickier, but give it a whirl. It probably won't be as much fun reading it a couple years from now either.

I will probably stick to one thread when I can be here. The new job has allowed me a bit more time to be online here during the day, but that changes day to day.

post responsibly in the clue threads, brainstorm in the main thread, if you come up with something you particularly like copy and paste it into the clue thread.

Clue Master

Good idea Tim. Keep the 'I don't like that because...' and 'good noodle' posts in the main thread. No discussion, just pure solid noodles. Like bullets.

Maybe look at it this way. Once you feel comfortable with what a certain clue means to you, you don't even need to go back into that clue's thread anymore.

Otherwise, you'll still need to slog through everybody's thoughts on all the clues even if it's been mentioned a bunch of times before.

Think of it as concentrated noodling.

I'll go with whatever the crew wants though. That's why that Clue #1 discussion is read only for now.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, no more threads. Please, I beg you. There is way too much to slog and people won't keep on topic anyway.
