And who's the little one?

Yes, my boyfriend can't believe I haven't met everyone by now. He wants to join in on the fun, too. We haven't been dating long and he has NO IDEA what he's getting himself into but I'm all for it:-)

That'd be my niece, Gabby. I posted it last year when I became really frustrated with the clues. I need to change it but haven't found the right thing to post. Actually, I have no idea where to even look for something to post. I should find a suitcase with the medallion inside...lol

All we see was done naturally.

Water and ice are here.

In this harbor of impressive arbor.

Approach and have no fear

I'll be home in time for Wednesday night's clue if all goes according to plan. Then, I am off until February. I plan to camp out at my boyfriend's place. He's not far from the PP building. In fact, they share the same piece of skyway.

Something that was carved out naturally... like the ridge at Mounds park, formed by a glacier....
Mon, 01/19/2009 - 9:24 PM Permalink
brasscat

Could be Bald Eagle Regional Park

Arbor. Parks with trees. That should narrow it down.
Mon, 01/19/2009 - 9:25 PM Permalink

could also apply to Battle Creek

Harbor of impressive arbor

Is there a pond/lake/stream/something named Great Oak or Big Elm or something?
Mon, 01/19/2009 - 9:26 PM Permalink
excavating stud

Crosby has the marina (harbor). There's also a Harbor at Harriet.
Mon, 01/19/2009 - 9:26 PM Permalink

Arbor ha something to do with flowers

Looks like Highland is out, then!

Natural waters - lakes, rivers...

Como is man made - right?

Phalen is natural if I remember correctly.

Loeb is natural

The river parks are in...Cherokee, IM,

All we see though means nothing unnaturally occurring would be seen, correct? That's how I'm reading this.

wolfpac, do you want the job at the PP board? I'm more than ready to pass that torch.

Call me crazy but I'm not sure they mean a real harbor.

Its in the woods at some park.

Here are a bunch of arbor definitions:

a shelter of vines or branches or of latticework covered with climbing shrubs or vines

a spindle or axle of a wheel

a main shaft or beam

a shaft on which a revolving cutting tool is mounted

a spindle on a cutting machine that holds the work to be cut

Also, Latin for tree

OK, we've ruled out Como and (probably) Highland

I'm starting to like Phalen a little more with this clue....
Mon, 01/19/2009 - 9:30 PM Permalink
wolfpac

Sure. I'f love to be able to to the pp itself but it's a long drive for me!

Or a boat harbor; safe harbor...it says not to fear.

excavating stud

Harbor can mean place of security. It fits with the have no fear clue. Maybe a police station near by. Highland would still fit.

hidden falls
Mon, 01/19/2009 - 9:32 PM Permalink
Terry

Natural water and ice.

Loeb is open partially because of some spring fed portions of that lake.

The river is usually at least partially open.

Hidden Falls?

I am thinking I have heard the term Arbor before in a past hunt....

Ok, just let me know if you can't some night and then I'll do it. And good luck! They turn on a dime over there. lol

Thank you Zephy
Mon, 01/19/2009 - 9:33 PM Permalink

But not the natural resources part, Evil. Highland is like all man-made.
Mon, 01/19/2009 - 9:33 PM Permalink
Terry

Battle Creek - that water is natural.

Is part of that open and flowing?

Someone on the PP Board mentioned Long Lake Park. Anyone familiar with this park or where it's even located (other than in Ramsey county)?
Mon, 01/19/2009 - 9:34 PM Permalink
Terry

It would be almost impossible for it to be at Cherokee as it's high and so much is visible that isn't natural.
Mon, 01/19/2009 - 9:35 PM Permalink
OT

I kind of think of the conservatory at Como as a kind of arbor. Or a bower, which is similar to an arbor.
Mon, 01/19/2009 - 9:35 PM Permalink

natural ice beer - strohs! oh wait...

Is it me or is the clue writer usually telling us to stay away from the dangerous things. Cliffs, lakes, rivers, etc. This time, its all "approach and have no fear". That bugs me.
Mon, 01/19/2009 - 9:37 PM Permalink

That's me, silly!
