2012 - Tony Schmidt Park

Submitted by ares on
2012 Clues

So its back to the drawing board for next year
to find a spot so deep and drear.
Harder to reach all you whiners
than those buried Chilean miners.

Next year's clues will inspire dread
requiring knowledge of languages dead,
Higher math rocket science
disbanding every hunters alliance.

I take your leave. I bid adieu.
I go in search of the perfect clue.
Prepare to hike hard dig deep and delve.
Will have a grand party in 2012.

In the official clue the up is at the end of the sun line - not sun up.

Sun up would be east. This doesn't necessarily say east as it's not sun up, but sun.

This is the second clue they've mentioned cracking...

Wondering what that could mean, or it's just a coincidence.

Brighton Way is just north of Perry Park.

I really want to convince myself it's not BC because it's our least favorite park to hunt (but most favorite to actually visit during the summer... go figure). The clues sure seem to point in that direction, though. Will be checking it out tomorrow.

"Get crackin'" is the slogan for Wonderful Pistachios. No clue if it has any connection, but that stuck out to me right away.

Energy Park isn't actually a park. It's a business area. One of the metro state sites is in the building I used to work in. Bandana Square is also there. All businesses. No place to hunt.

Can anyone help me with uploading a pic. I go to preferences/picture, browse, but it won't open up a folder so I can pick. Tried turning of the pop up blocker, still not working. Any suggestions?

Zeph it has to be a county park in New Brighton (Long Lake Regional) can't be just a park in Ramsey county doesn't it?

What's the deal with people complaining about Gabes. How bad can it be?

We'll find out tomorrow night. Or, rather, I will as I am a member of the Monthly Pint Club. Our monthly meeting will be there and over 200 people are planning to attend (the most to ever sign up!) The fun begins at 7pm and all are welcome:-)

You do need to register at www.themonthlypint.com but it doesn't cost a dime! There will be cheap beer and discounts on apps. Come, join me! I'd love to meet more Cooler Crew members. It's hard to believe I've been here since the very beginning and know so few of you. Work prevents me from attending the Pre-Dig Gig and I volunteer at Hudson's Hot Air Affair which prevents me from attending the Rehash Bash:-(

I'm referring to the comments in FB by people unknown to me, who just tonight, called it a "cluster". What makes it that way? How hard is it to buy a paper? Is it like a Packer game is on? Can't you get drinks, seats, etc?

Indeed! The hostess for this month's Pint didn't know Gabe's was going to become Clue Central when she made our reservation. That and she's never hosted an event before and is already feeling overwhelmed due to the large number of folks planning to attend. Of course, she doesn't think that the medallion hunters are going to cause a problem for our group. Our reservation is for the back room (Didn't know they had one.) It's going to be a TRAIN WRECK!!! lol And, I'll have a front row seat:-)

I do believe the back room is rated for 75 people, so if you really have 200 show up, expect some spill over into the game room and beyond. In fact, with the regular crowd, a group of 200 might take over the whole place. The treasure hunters don't usually show up until 9:30 or so though, and I imagine many of the "pinters" will have taken off by then. It will be kind of crazy though.

As for the problem with Gabe's in general, I don't see one. I suppose there are some people that want to just stand in line, grab a paper within a minute of it coming out, and bolt out the door. At Gabe's there is no line, it may take 3 minutes to get the paper, but I suppose you could still bolt out the door if you wanted to. Most of us have the clue by then anyway, so I'm not sure why there would be any urgency to getting a paper.

Trackin sure feels like train tracks, is there another explanation that would fit BC? perhaps trackin isn't the key word?

I can't find the number ND but I haven't heard anything about a find or potential find so I'm sure you are okay to keep looking.

The ol' school way to know drugs are being sold in an area is to look at the power lines for shoes hanging from them. If the shoes look like they've been there for a few months, it's quiet - but if they were just put up there- someone probably bought some crack on that corner last night.

Isn't there a firing range down there by Battle Creek? Crackin' could be the sound of the gunshot? Or am I just thinking of the golf range? :sheepish:

yup. i felt the same way. though it may be there to rhyme with crackin' which could be telling you how you're going to find it, in a crack or crevasse or something like that.

ran by BC / mcknight area last night - there are no houses pointing towards mcknight with any triple score type #'s such as 333,222 0r 111.

we do have odd numbers ranging 33 to 165 ish....a house with 101 and what not - a 63 and a 33....

just playing a hunch....all of these houses do however line up with water park side of the MW BC.
