2012 Clues 

So its back to the drawing board for next year 
to find a spot so deep and drear. 
Harder to reach all you whiners 
than those buried Chilean miners. 

Next year's clues will inspire dread 
requiring knowledge of languages dead, 
Higher math rocket science 
disbanding every hunters alliance. 

I take your leave. I bid adieu. 
I go in search of the perfect clue. 
Prepare to hike hard dig deep and delve. 
Will have a grand party in 2012.

There are trees there...just not heavy woods.

Conway was found in a white knit holder along the line of trees bordering Ruth St.

If it is referencing Sun Ray, and my thoughts on 3M being the triple score are correct, I'm guessing the location to search will be in the pine forest on the north side of the park. I walked through there this evening.

Ironically, my old roommate has a geocache out there north of the pines. The cache looks like an old treasure chest.

Darn. Thought I was on to something. The Conway was a fun hunt. Took all my kids, they went sledding while I hunted. Plus the rec center had great hot chocolate.

I just meant the Maplewood part of Battle Creek which is everything east of McKnight.

Also, I meant north of the waterpark so that could be the confusion.

not really, the only reason you can see 3M is because the building is tall.

You might be able to see Sun Ray Lanes (hmm bowling, triple score?) through the overpass?
