2012 Clues 

So its back to the drawing board for next year 
to find a spot so deep and drear. 
Harder to reach all you whiners 
than those buried Chilean miners. 

Next year's clues will inspire dread 
requiring knowledge of languages dead, 
Higher math rocket science 
disbanding every hunters alliance. 

I take your leave. I bid adieu. 
I go in search of the perfect clue. 
Prepare to hike hard dig deep and delve. 
Will have a grand party in 2012.

on Cty Road E2 west and New Brighton Road there was a Library there. It now is just an empty building. I take that into consideration because it is across that intersection of a street I believe they named.

Planning on be just south of the tunnel at the Y in the trail when the scrambled clue comes out (10:30ish) on the chance there are some key words to quickly work off of and set out on foot from there.

In 1981 when it was at Acorn Park the Puck was taped between to leaves laying in the dark. That was a horribly hard last clue.

East of the hockey rink

At Roseville's Acorn Park,

Wrapped in leaves,

It was placed in the dark.

I have a feeling that when the scrambled clue comes out people are just going to read the big words and run towards anything that fits that.... field, water, hill, shelter, trail. And they're going to ignore the more important words... away, no, not, from, to. :pbpt:

My dad and I just squared the park and surprised more folks aren't out here. For now, we've parked across from the shore on the side nearest the hill leading to the gazebo. Red Pontiac Gran Prix with WI plates. Come, say, "Hi".

I've got a list of words to look for that will strictly be identifying markers to the park. Yet the words are subtle enough that they probably wouldn't be used unless to get people much much closer to ground zero.

Put around 6mi in tonight after work according to my gps logger. Had a streak of around an hour where my digging buddy and I didn't see another light. Got spooked by a pack of 8 or so deer caught in my headlamp. Certainly is still a lot of untouched area within the park grounds. Good number of people out digging, but not as many as I was expecting to see. Really looking forward to tonight's clue. Now, nap time.

Gilby, I've got the same list. The name of the game for me tonight was to cover enough ground to identify markers/landmarks across the park. All marked via gps, of course. :wink:
