I had spotted that hill across from the "gazebo" with the powerline on it, but was focused on the hill by the three pine trees. but only via Google Maps.

Apparently I didn't need to walk the miles and miles I walked out there!

My thoughts exactly. Too far off the beaten path, I guess. Lesson learned.

I cant make the press conference...I can fo to work...need to make some duckets. have fun!

You did a great job every night unscrambeling the clues. We had a great advantage to find it this year thanks to you and the rest of the computer noodelers.

Yes thank you everyone and evil for working through those scrambled clues! i really am glad i made it offical and joined the group! I met a few in the parks but greatly enjoyed swapping noodles here and FB! glad the boys beat me at the spit, would rather any CC outsmart me in digging than anyone else, heres to next year!!! :smile: :crying: :goofy:

Thanks for the great line up advice yesterday morning! I was going to actually follow it but I was too sick and energy zapped to do any serious digging :frown:.

Yea, I didn't have much issue with the clues (we'll see about the answers). Encased in ice is getting kinda lame. I would complain about the big park/woods again, but with no snow, I understand why.

I can relate..... a little relieved now I can stay home and focus on being sick and miserable.

I'm trying to figure out what time it was found at, cause we were out in the park till about 1:30 in the morning. Just wondering how long I was there for no reason.

Reference to a place with "a special claim" refers to the handicapped parking in the nearby parking area.

I never would have guessed this. Plus I have a son with Down syndrome and we use handicap parking. Never would have figured this out!

No reason?? For me, anyway, a late-clue, late-night hunt is magical with all of the flashlights, headlamps, hem-ing and haw-ing! Until there is confirmation that it is found...it's not found! and then fun goes on until you wake up and see that you missed it again. Oh, well...I had a lot of fun looking and being out in the park :grin:

At least I got to be in the park when it was found, and I wasn't still sitting over at battle creek hoping it was there, lol

I was just talking with my husband where we were recalling on Saturday we were digging just to the north of that spot (maybe 20-30 yards)and I was noting all the pines in that section, we then worked our way out back on the trail and started toward the playground and as we were walking I swear to God I said to my husband "look none of this has been dug up yet-for all we know it could be right in there". :eyeroll:

And apparently a couple of days ago while my sister and I were talking to Ian and Mucky, my husband says he was digging in the area.That same day I spent a good hour or two digging that fallen tree on the south of wires below the playground.

Uggh....I guess that's what is so addicting about the hunt. We all have our "I was right there" close call moments. :goofy:

some chic was complaining on the PP treasure hunt page about the finder taking it home and not directly to the paper linking them to the Ableminds page with the picture....this is why this forum is no good anymore for noodling to many lurkers and people who aren't "cooler"

Yeah, I'm always amazed when people can be in the right park for days and days before it gets found.

I just read all the explanations. Man, I didn't have a single thing right on any of them. Except the nuts, I figures that would be part of the hide, just not exactly the way it was. I guess for next year I'm going to read through all the old clues, starting right after new years, as a bit of practice anyway.

Just for the record, I will never vote for Yarusso's unless it's for drinks. Don't care much for their food and I know at least some other people who feel the same. So I kind of cringe every time the place is suggested. I would prefer a place with more variety in the fare to accommodate different palettes. OK, I'll stop my commentary now. Like I said, I can't go tonight, anyway.

How does a 'casual hunter' like the finder get partnered up with 'veteran hunters' last minute like that? I guess I didn't know that people play the politics so late in the game. Interesting.

I agree, I've never been there with the crew anyway, but I've been there before on my own and didn't care for the food. My roommate didn't either. But then, he didn't like donatelli's up in white bear lake, and I really like the food there, so I guess different tastes all around :smile:

Not saying I like it, but that's what they are saying it means.

I think it's another one of those clues that either weren't intentional, or were just implied, and don't need to be explained. That or we just read more into the clue and got a few things that make sense.

I don't get this.

Pity party = crying in your drink = so I was just going for a drink and to think...how close I wasn't!
