2012 Clues 

So its back to the drawing board for next year 
to find a spot so deep and drear. 
Harder to reach all you whiners 
than those buried Chilean miners. 

Next year's clues will inspire dread 
requiring knowledge of languages dead, 
Higher math rocket science 
disbanding every hunters alliance. 

I take your leave. I bid adieu. 
I go in search of the perfect clue. 
Prepare to hike hard dig deep and delve. 
Will have a grand party in 2012.

I believe we did last saturday. Myself, the hubby, and my two little ones were coming up to the tunnel and i said you looked familar from the wcco bit. Lol loved the trunk of goodies :pbpt: if i have my people messed up sorry

Was glad you stopped me given the 'gang' we were with at the time. I'm sorry your two little good luck charms didn't pay off this time. But hopefully it was a nice time out hunting together anyway.

Yep that was us! I may not have found it but. I feel i was just 30 mins too late:-P i was on the spot and section from 1:30 till am, but hey i could have touched it and never knew. Its still a blast and the kids enjoyed themseves!

I kind of wondered that myself.

Might be interesting if I ever found it to post a note on the cooler crew and say "Hey, I found it, how many people want to be included on the find, you get a free tshirt and your picture in the paper" Then we could see just how many people the press will let in. Technically I could be correct and say everyone here was a part of the find, because I couldn't figure out any of the clues on my own...

He got a great deal. Nate got hosed. But that's my opinion knowing what I know. But Im only one of the 7 stories of the remaining 5 cooler that were in that area of the park that night.

Cory and nate is now cooler whether he likes it or not.

I am sitting here wondering if I would have done the same for 500 bucks. Not to criticize anybody at all, just wondering. I push the lines (and pass the lines) a lot. I think I would have passed on the 500 bucks though. I tend to get ultra ethical on some things people think nothing about.

I don't know the whole story of course.

For what it's worth, I still hope we get a hunt inside the woods at Maplewood - Battle Creek. There's tons of brush available to burn from the buckthorn removal - and getting a nice fire going in the middle of the night inside that park would be magical, to say the least.

Pioneer Press posted the winner of the medallion drawing. I didn't win it, crap. I wasn't going to say anything to jinx myself, but had I won it, I was going to donate it to the cooler crew and let one of the more active members of the group hold it for safe keeping.

The winner of the medallion drawing is Leah Stern of Roseville. We haven't talked to her yet but her husband said she'll be very excited. Congratulations Leah!

Name doesn't sound familiar, anyone know her?

I'm sure she will. Jake said to me something on the lines of ..If i waved ten $100.00 dollar bills at you, you wouldn't sell it. I told him No. I have a son right there I'd be giving it to as a Christmas present. sometimes I think he forgets I'm his Mom and an avid hunter. LOL :smile:

If it is to fall in Jake's hands then so be it. It was meant to be.

I do believe there's things to learn from all of this and it goes deeper than than what meets the eye. :litesmile:

We're you there when the real zeph and I got knighted? I remember you were there with cardboard zeph in 05 but I don't remember the 06 encore. I've got the greatest pic of you and bear at the Capitol with the cutout the day he was knighted by boreas. I'll have to find it and post it in the morning.
