The Beatles - Yesterday

Yesterday,

All my troubles seemed so far away,

Now it looks as though they're here to stay,

Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly,

I'm not half the man I used to be,

There's a shadow hanging over me,

Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

Why she

Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say.

I said,

Something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday,

Love was such an easy game to play,

Now I need a place to hide away,

Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Why she

Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say.

I said,

Something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday,

Love was such an easy game to play,

Now I need a place to hide away,

Oh, I believe in yesterday.

speaking of yesterday... what a slap in the face from mother nature to spread her medallion hiding goodness upon our soil after the re-hash, that we so desperately needed last week, so we could be out hunting right now......

Love, exciting and new

Come aboard, we're expecting you

Love, life's sweetest reward

Let it flow, it floats back to you

Love Boat soon will be making another run

The Love Boat promises something for everyone

Set a course for adventure

Your mind on a new romance

And love won't hurt anymore

It's an open smile on a friendly shore

It's love

Welcome aboard

It's love!

IÂ’m not going to wake up today

TheyÂ’ve pulled my plug the picture fades

And as my body decays mold begins to fill my grave

The smell of death permeates the silk within my coffin lays

Go to hell

As they bury me now six feet there my body lies

Still feel like IÂ’m giong down I hear a distant wailing cry

God something mustÂ’ve gone wrong

And much too late I realize

Go to hell

I saw my funeral that day

I know who didnÂ’t show to mourn

My judgement was life in hell

Pillars of pain and thorns

My only friendÂ’s the goat

With 666 between his horns

Go to hell

Place all your trust here in me

Rest assured these things I know

And as charon sails the sea

Your journey too shall end below

Ah yes youÂ’re all sitting ducks

ItÂ’s true you reap what you sow

Go to hell

Now I lay me down to sleep

Blah, blah, blah my soul to keep

If I die before I wake

IÂ’ll go to hell for heavenÂ’s sake

Metallica - Les Quatre Cavaliers

Temps

A pris son péage sur vous

Les lignes qui fendent votre visage

Famine

Votre corps qu'il a déchiré à travers

Défraîchi dans chaque endroit

Pestilence

Kick Ass!!!

I've been looking forward to this one for a while now.

Earlier this year, Queensrÿche launched a sold-out tour featuring the original Operation: Mindcrime performed in its entirety with actors on stage portraying the characters alongside the band. Tate says the band plans to launch a tour in 2006 that will feature a stage performance of both Mindcrime’s in their entirety. In addition, Tate is putting the finishing touches on a screenplay of the original Mindcrime. “Somewhere down the road, I’d love to see the story on the big screen,” he says. “The album is very cinematic in its scope and I know in the hands of the right director it would be an amazing film.”

This looks to have the same feeling as The Wall did for Floyd. :ooh:

Dr. X!!

History is about ready to repeat itself, and in a big way. Today queensryche.com is happy to announce who the mysterious Dr. X is! It's none other than legendary rock/metal vocalist Ronnie James Dio! These above photos, taken just yesterday, came at the conclusion of Ronnie's vocals and thus puts the wraps on the recording of Mindcirme II.

I've been going nuts tonight DLing tunes about Cadillacs. I can't believe how many there are. I'm over 50 now!!

As much as I'd hope there would be more than just 10 metal tunes about Caddies, the rest of the library consists of equal amounts of country and rap. I have 4 CD's worth and working on a 5th!

With that:

Slick black Cadillac!

Oo-ooh!

Just a big black set of wheels – what it takes to get me off.

I’m gonna drive all night – spin my wheels – Delight!

Feels all right!

Yeah, it feels all right!

I don’t need no driver’s license – I’m too reckless to survive!

It’s like a carburetor-instigator – Feels all right!

Yes, it feels all right!

DrivinÂ’ in a slick, black Cadillac!

ItÂ’s got solid gold hubcaps!

It makes me feel like a king –

I only need one thing:

And thatÂ’s a slick, black Cadillac!

Ooh, get it up!

Slow down!

Know I got a fully-equipped-to-rock&roll machine

At speeds that take me high-hi-hi!

At Dead-Man’s Curve, I hear one word: “Drive! Drive! Drive!”

“Drive! Drive! Drive!”

My machine is makin’ headlines – gets me love and everything.

It’s like an institution of revolution – Feels all right!

I mean it feels all right!

DrivinÂ’ in a slick, black Cadillac!

ItÂ’s got solid gold hubcaps!

It makes me feel like a king –

I only need one thing:

And thatÂ’s a slick, black Cadillac!

Pull over!

Whooo!

Got the coppers on my trail – just won’t believe the A.P.B.! Yeah, yeah…

The siren’s spinnin’ – It’s me that’s winnin’ - they’re after me!

TheyÂ’re after me!

For I know just what happened: I disappeared to their surprise!

I got a Cadillac monkey on my back, and I donÂ’t mind!

No, no! I donÂ’t mind!

DrivinÂ’ in a slick, black Cadillac!

ItÂ’s got solid gold hubcaps!

It makes me feel like a king –

I only need one thing:

And thatÂ’s a slick, black Cadillac!

Wait a minuteÂ…

Slick, black Cadillac!

ItÂ’s got solid gold hubcaps!

Slick, black Cadillac!

I lay it down, spin wide, and get **** back – ooh, yeah!

DrivinÂ’ in a

Slick black Cadillac!

It makes me feel like a king.

All right!

Had I followed your link, I may have seen that that is what you were referring to... Duh!

On that note, an ode to my dear friend through the radio, King Diamond... who is also spotlighted in that article...

Them (entire album is a story, it doesn't do him justice to just do one song... The music is fantastic on this if yiou like it complicated fast and heavy)

1. Out From The Asylum

Look, the old bitch is back - yeah,

finally we'll get some company again

the attic room has been

locked up for far too long - just like the

old bitch herself - she's on time

though - why that silly wheelchair?

Oh she's pretending as always - but

she does make a good cup of tea.

"Oh My God she's here. Missy, listen

to what Mother says: Now You be

good to Grandma; and remember

she's been away on a long vacation.

That goes for You too King. And stop

playing that thing. Answer the door"

2. Welcome Home

Grandma' welcome home... You have

been gone for far too long

Is this a dream, are You really back?

Let me help You out of the chair...

Grandma'

Let me touch You, let me feel... Ahhh

Grandma' take a look

What do You think of the house and

the silvery moon?

We are going to repaint the front door

soon

Let me help You out of the chair...

Grandma'

Let me touch You, let me feel... Ahhh

Wait till You see Your room up in the

attic

Prepared just like You said, without a

bed

You will find Your rocking chair and

the tea pot that Missy found

Let me help You out of the chair...

Grandma'

There is someone waiting for You,

now come along

Missy and Mother, they are dying to

meet You

How strange... she's spoken no word...

I wonder Grandma'! Are You all right?

Grandma' what was it like to be on

that holiday site

"Oh it could have been worse but

with "THEM" by my side

In the twilight "THEY" sang all the old

lullabies"

Grandma' who are "THEY"... "never

mind You dirty little brat"

"Let us go inside, something's on

"THEIR" mind

"THEY" are still alive, can You feel

"THEIR" eyes

Can You feel "THEIR" eyes?

Now that You are stuck with me You

better be my friend.

3. The Invisible Guests

Late that night I awoke from My sleep

Hearing unknown voices laughing

insane

Grandma' was one, Oh it's coming

from the room next to mine

It's Grandma' room... the invisible

guests

As I stood there alone in the dark

Peeking through the keyhole, couldn't

believe My eyes

I'd never seen anything like it, only

Grandma' was inside the room

Speaking to no one... the invisible

guests

Cups were rising in thin air and then

emptied on the floor

Suddenly the door was open and

Grandma' said

"Do come in My little friend"

Missy and Mother were sleeping

downstairs

If they could see me in Grandmother's

chair

Grandmother said "look Me deep in

the eyes

You will forget what You saw here

tonight"

"I will let You in on the secret of this

house

The secret of Amon... that's what we

call this house

Now I want you to go back to sleep,

now go back to sleep My dear"

The invisible guests

Cups were rising in thin air and then

emptied on the floor

Suddenly the door was open and

Grandma' said

"Now you must go back to sleep"

"Go to sleep"... "Go to sleep"...

"Go to sleep"...

Missy and Mother were sleeping

downstairs

If they could see me in Grandmother's

chair

4. Tea

On the following friday as I turned out

the light

Grandma' came and knocked at My

door

"Wake up King, wake up My dear

I am gonna show You about the house

of Amon"

It is time for tea, it is time again

"Even Your mother is present

We made her sleep in My rocking

chair"

At first I felt really scared but there

was no reason to

As I saw the knife sneaking out from

Grandmother's dress

Then it cut a tiny wound in My

mother's little hand

It is time for tea, it is time again

Blood was running into the tea pot,

then I heard "THEM" laugh

"A bit of this in a cup of tea, is what it

takes to set "THEM" free

You will hear "THEM" telling stories

from far beyond this earth"

What I saw and what I heard made me

want to stay and learn

I really hope this dream will never

end, it's hard to describe the kind of

feeling that went on in My mind

A paradise

Hearing "THEIR" stories and feeling

"THEIR" warmth

We laughed with tears in our eyes

From the first cup of tea, to the last

drop of blood

Nothing seemed to matter at all

anymore

My Mother? She didn't exist to me,

Oh I felt so heavenly

It is time for tea, it is time again

5. Mother's Getting Weaker

Tonight would be the last night that

we had our tea

That bloody tea, which sent us into

ecstasy

Yesterday Mother complained, feeling

dizzy, all in pain

Mother's getting weaker, looking

paler day by day

As morning came, she could not make

it out of bed

And Grandma's spell was getting

straight into her head

Not a single word, she didn't seem to

be alive

Getting weaker, looking pa

Better late than never... here is the story's build up from the album cover...

To whom it may concern.

I am scared to death. 9 years ago they finally let me out, and I

was just beginning to feel better. I am not Myself any longer.

I guess You could not even recognize My face if You saw Me now.

That phone call 2 hours ago has torn Me apart. It was Grandma.

She invited Me back to the old house. I do not want to go back,

but I must. Maybe You will understand My fear if I tell

You what happened during My childhood.

18 years ago I was living with My mother and

My sister Missy in Grandma's old house. I had

been told that Grandma was away on a long vacation,

and that she would soon return. She did.

I have later found out that she was actually being released

from that same asylum. "She's insane", they said, when she

kept on babbling about "THEM". I still cannot make up

My mind about who really did separate Grandpa's head

from his shoulders. You see, "THEY" were always so

nice to Me.

Anyway, time is short and I must leave for the old

house. So here is what happened 18 years ago. And

in case we never see each other again, at least You

will know why.

I bet we are going to have tea.

And one more to hold you over... If you are into this kind of music, King Diamond is an awesome band....

Abigail (1987)
This album is dedicated to the memory of the braviest and

noblest man I have ever known, my father.

R.I.P. until we meet again.

King.

1. Funeral

"We are gathered here tonight,

to lay to rest Abigail LaFey,

whom we now know

was first born dead

on The 7th Day of July 1777.

Abigail must be nailed to her coffin

with 7 silver spikes,

1 through each arm, hand and knee,

and let the last of the 7 be drawn through

her mouth

so that she may never rise and cause evil again

Who will be the first?"

"I O'Brian of the Black Horsemen."

2. Arrival

[LEAD INTRO: Mike]

"That must be it"

[THEME: Andy. SOLO: Mike.]

Through the summer rain of 1845

The coach had finally arrived

To the valley where the crossroads meet below

And where all darkness seems to grow

People blame it on the Hill

The hill where no one dares to go...

The Mansion

The coach had stopped and from the window you could see

7 horsemen in the night

Miriam Natias and Jonathan LaFey

Saw the magic in their eyes

They were in for a surprise

The darkness would soon be complete

A horseman came forth from the dark

[SOLO: Andy.]

"We know You've come to inherit what's Yours...The Mansion

Take our advise and go back on this night

If you refuse 18 will become 9...Oh No"

Oh 18 is 9

[THEME: Andy. SOLO: Mike.]

Jonathan laughed and said "Get out of My way"

"I don't believe a word You say"

The 7 horsemen disapeared into the night

and said "Someday You'll need our help my friend"

I think poor Jonathan was scared

18 is actually 9...It stuck in his mind

[SOLO: Andy.]

3. A Mansion In Darkness

[THEME: Andy.]

Riding up the alley in the rain

No lights to show the way

How could this ever be their home

Through the darkness You could only see

A giant shadow wich was to be

A house where evil ruled at night

And the shadows at the gate, they seemed to be alive

Yeah the shadows at the gate, Alive

Everything inside was left untouched

Except for what the rats had got

And the dust of time that showed its mark

Armed with candlelight and open eyes

Through the dark they fought their way

'Til every room was lit again...Again

And the house began to breathe, it seemed to be alive

Yeah the house began to breathe, Alive

[THEME AND SOLO: Andy.]

As the candlelight began to fade

And Jonathan said "Let's go to bed"

The fireplace had ceased to burn...Burn

Both were fast asleep before the dawn, Dreaming...Dreaming

And they did not know about the shadow

Yeah the shadow on the wall, it really came alive

Yeah the shadow on the wall, Sunrise!

[SOLO: Mike.]

[THEME AND SOLO: Andy.]

4. The Family Ghost

[SOLO: Andy.]

The darkness came closer to home on the

following night

And Miriam slept like a rock when

Jonathan's face went white

The bedroom was ice cold

But the fire was burning still

The blinding light

The Family Ghost had risen again...The Ghost

"Don't be scared, Don't be scared now My Friend

I am Count de LaFey

Let me take You to the crypt down below

Where Abigail rests"

"Let Miriam sleep

She never would understand

Now come let us go...It's time to know"

[SOLO: Mike - SOLO: Andy]

"Beware of the slippery stairs

You could easily fall and break Your neck

Hand me that torch and I will lead the way

To the secret in the dark

Take a look into the vault, the Vault

The sarcophagus...of a child

Abigail has been in here for years and years

stillborn", Born...Born...Born

"The spirit of Abigail is inside Your Wife

and there's only one way You can stop

the rebirth of evil itself

You must take her life now"

5. The 7th Day Of July 1777

[ACC. GUITAR: Andy.]

Count de LaFey uncovered his cheating Wife

9 months of loving and sharing

Oh it was a bastard child

How could he have been so blind

"No bastard baby

will inherit what's mine"

Another one of her affairs

had left him in despair

So he pushed her down the stairs

to die..."No" She cried

In 1777, on the 7th Day of July

The Countess broke her neck and the

embryo came out dead

The he burned his beloved Wife

and the embryo he gave a name

"Abigail You must rest in shame" Rest in shame

[SOLO: Andy]

Obsessed

With a strange idea

He wanted to mummify

The girl for the future to find...and he did

[SOLO: Mike.]

So he pushed her down the stairs

To die..."No" She cried

In 1777, on the 7th Day of July

6. Omens

Nobody's inside the church but the bell is ringing

For no reason the floweres are dying

Oh, Deadly Omens

Oh, Deadly Omens

Inside the mansion the air is unbearable, a rotten smell

In the dinning room the table is set for 3

Oh, Deadly Omens

Oh, Deadly Omens

[SOLO: Mike -SOLO: Andy]

"Miriam come here and see what I've found, it's moving

An empty cradle sw

February 3, 1959 The Day The Music Died

RIP Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, J.P. Richardson (The Big Bopper)

Clue Master

A long, long time ago...

I can still remember

How that music used to make me smile.

And I knew if I had my chance

That I could make those people dance

And, maybe, theyÂ’d be happy for a while.

But february made me shiver

With every paper IÂ’d deliver.

Bad news on the doorstep;

I couldnÂ’t take one more step.

I canÂ’t remember if I cried

When I read about his widowed bride,

But something touched me deep inside

The day the music died.

So bye-bye, miss american pie.

Drove my chevy to the levee,

But the levee was dry.

And them good old boys were drinkinÂ’ whiskey and rye

SinginÂ’, thisÂ’ll be the day that I die.

ThisÂ’ll be the day that I die.

Did you write the book of love,

And do you have faith in God above,

If the Bible tells you so?

Do you believe in rock Â’n roll,

Can music save your mortal soul,

And can you teach me how to dance real slow?

Well, I know that youÂ’re in love with him

`cause I saw you dancinÂ’ in the gym.

You both kicked off your shoes.

Man, I dig those rhythm and blues.

I was a lonely teenage broncinÂ’ buck

With a pink carnation and a pickup truck,

But I knew I was out of luck

The day the music died.

I started singinÂ’,

Bye-bye, miss american pie.

Drove my chevy to the levee,

But the levee was dry.

Them good old boys were drinkinÂ’ whiskey and rye

And singinÂ’, thisÂ’ll be the day that I die.

ThisÂ’ll be the day that I die.

Now for ten years weÂ’ve been on our own

And moss grows fat on a rollinÂ’ stone,

But thatÂ’s not how it used to be.

When the jester sang for the king and queen,

In a coat he borrowed from james dean

And a voice that came from you and me,

Oh, and while the king was looking down,

The jester stole his thorny crown.

The courtroom was adjourned;

No verdict was returned.

And while lennon read a book of marx,

The quartet practiced in the park,

And we sang dirges in the dark

The day the music died.

We were singing,

Bye-bye, miss american pie.

Drove my chevy to the levee,

But the levee was dry.

Them good old boys were drinkinÂ’ whiskey and rye

And singinÂ’, thisÂ’ll be the day that I die.

ThisÂ’ll be the day that I die.

Helter skelter in a summer swelter.

The birds flew off with a fallout shelter,

Eight miles high and falling fast.

It landed foul on the grass.

The players tried for a forward pass,

With the jester on the sidelines in a cast.

Now the half-time air was sweet perfume

While the sergeants played a marching tune.

We all got up to dance,

Oh, but we never got the chance!

`cause the players tried to take the field;

The marching band refused to yield.

Do you recall what was revealed

The day the music died?

We started singing,

Bye-bye, miss american pie.

Drove my chevy to the levee,

But the levee was dry.

Them good old boys were drinkinÂ’ whiskey and rye

And singinÂ’, thisÂ’ll be the day that I die.

ThisÂ’ll be the day that I die.

Oh, and there we were all in one place,

A generation lost in space

With no time left to start again.

So come on: jack be nimble, jack be quick!

Jack flash sat on a candlestick

Cause fire is the devilÂ’s only friend.

Oh, and as I watched him on the stage

My hands were clenched in fists of rage.

No angel born in hell

Could break that satanÂ’s spell.

And as the flames climbed high into the night

To light the sacrificial rite,

I saw satan laughing with delight

The day the music died

He was singing,

Bye-bye, miss american pie.

Drove my chevy to the levee,

But the levee was dry.

Them good old boys were drinkinÂ’ whiskey and rye

And singinÂ’, thisÂ’ll be the day that I die.

ThisÂ’ll be the day that I die.

I met a girl who sang the blues

And I asked her for some happy news,

But she just smiled and turned away.

I went down to the sacred store

Where IÂ’d heard the music years before,

But the man there said the music wouldnÂ’t play.

And in the streets: the children screamed,

The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed.

But not a word was spoken;

The church bells all were broken.

And the three men I admire most:

The father, son, and the holy ghost,

They caught the last train for the coast

The day the music died.

And they were singing,

Bye-bye, miss american pie.

Drove my chevy to the levee,

But the levee was dry.

And them good old boys were drinkinÂ’ whiskey and rye

SinginÂ’, thisÂ’ll be the day that I die.

ThisÂ’ll be the day that I die.

They were singing,

Bye-bye, miss american pie.

Drove my chevy to the levee,

But the levee was dry.

Them good old boys were drinkinÂ’ whiskey and rye

SinginÂ’, thisÂ’ll be the day that I die.

I can't believe that someone hasnt posted this, as a response yet.... good old Weird Al....

Weird Al Yankovic - The Saga Begins

A long, long time ago

In a galaxy far away

Naboo was under an attack

And I thought me and Qui-Gon Jinn

Could talk the federation into

Maybe cutting them a little slack

But their response, it didn't thrill us

They locked the doors and tried to kill us

We escaped from that gas

Then met Jar Jar and Boss Nass

We took a bongo from the scene

And we went to Theed to see the Queen

We all wound up on Tatooine

That's where we found this boy...

Oh my my this here Anakin guy

May be Vader someday later - now he's just a small fry

And he left his home and kissed his mommy goodbye

Sayin' "Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"

"Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"

Did you know this junkyard slave

Isn't even old enough to shave

But he can use the Force, they say

Ahh, do you see him hitting on the queen

Though he's just nine and she's fourteen

Yah, he's probably gonna marry her someday

Well, I know he built C-3PO

And I've heard how fast his pod can go

And we were broke, it's true

So we made a wager or two

He was a prepubescent flyin' ace

And the minute Jabba started off that race

Well, I knew who would win first place

Oh yes, it was our boy

We started singin' ...

My my this here Anakin guy

May be Vader someday later - now he's just a small fry

And he left his home and kissed his mommy goodbye

Sayin' "Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"

"Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"

Now we finally got to Coruscant

The Jedi Council we knew would want

To see how good the boy could be

So we took him there and we told the tale

How his midi-chlorians were off the scale

And he might fulfill that prophecy

Oh, the Council was impressed, of course

Could he bring balance to the Force?

They interview the kid

Oh, training they forbid

Because Yoda sensed in him much fear

And Qui-Gon said "Now listen here"

"Just stick it in your pointy ear"

"I still will teach this boy"

He was singin' ...

My my this here Anakin guy

May be Vader someday later - now he's just a small fry

And he left his home and kissed his mommy goodbye

Sayin' "Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"

"Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"

We caught a ride back to Naboo

'Cause Queen Amidala wanted to

I frankly would've liked to stay

We all fought in that epic war

And it wasn't long at all before

Little Hotshot flew his plane and saved the day

And in the end some Gunguns died

Some ships blew up and some pilots fried

A lot of folks were croakin'

The battle droids were broken

And the Jedi I admire most

Met up with Darth Maul and now he's toast

Well, I'm still here and he's a ghost

I guess I'll train this boy

And I was singin' ...

My my this here Anakin guy

May be Vader someday later - now he's just a small fry

And he left his home and kissed his mommy goodbye

Sayin' "Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"

"Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"

We were singin' ...

My my this here Anakin guy

May be Vader someday later - now he's just a small fry

And he left his home and kissed his mommy goodbye

Sayin' "Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"

Hairball was last weekend and Pipewrench is this weekend at Jersey's. Kinda bummed I missed Hairball. They're pretty fun.
