It sounded that way because at that point he didn't realize that his original post had been deleted. He assumed everyone knew what he was talking about. And it hurt him that no one had commented on it. So that's why the last post. He didn't figure anyone cared.

It's apparent that there are some shenanigans going on. Don't rule out a really fast deletion.

I did a bunch of searches and I couldn't find anything related to redbear and his mother other than a post about their house burning down on a Labor day.

I have no idea in Red's case. In mine? I'm assuming someone didn't want my whole post to be public.

What exactly was in your post that anyone would want to delete.

a sentence about bear being removed from coolertimes because he decided to not pay to post here while aw has done the same thing and was still up there (as are several others for that matter).

Well, you can remove me from the Cooler Crew threads, and OTiS can remove me from Coolertimes.

This is sad. I don't get it. Or like any of it. This is enough. It's been done and overdone. Until there can be a finding or solution, I don't see the need to carry this along any further myself.

FWIW- I usually read all the threads and didn't see the post either. It wasn't in MM's thread was it? I know she deleted all the extra folders in her thread.

I just don't see why anyone would delete a part about coolertimes and then change the word "and" to "but", that doesn't make any sense.

Something else that doesn't make sense is the notion that there was a post in the things that irritate me thread by Redbear that only 1 or 2 people saw it, that doensn't add up. like OT said, maybe it was a quick delete, but if that were the case he would have been able to see it was gone and not gotten upset that no one replied.

I didn't change anything, Tim. My next sentence originally read, "But AW's bio is still up at coolertimes". Someone edited at least one paragraph from that post. And just moved my last paragraph to the first.

And as CM mentioned in an earlier post, a moderator isn't supposed to delete/edit any posts without first discussing it with the others mods. And the person being moderated is talked to first. Neither of those things were done in my case.

You can try twisting it as many ways as you like, but in the end you can't argue against the truth. I was edited with no just cause.

I'm just saying it's weird that they would change your wording. I don't know what happened there.

The more important issue, at least in my opinion is the Redbear deleted post issue. Especially from a personal standpoint. All I saw was that his reason for doing the walk was leaving the hospital cancer free and I thought that was great news. I also saw what I took as a shot at the cooler crew when he said he was glad that that was his last post, so I said that all I saw was good news, which as we know started another whole argument.

It's not adding up to me and I'm trying to figure that one out.

I understand that, Kitch. But my post was hardly any of those things. It should have been discussed with the mods and with me if one of them thought it in anyway improper.

The wording wasn't changed. Just a segment was removed and the paragraph changed.

tim, its not that the wording was changed, sentences were removed. to the effect of "but redbear got removed from coolertimes along with that post. people like aw have stated the same thing and are still on the list". as far as removing that sentence goes, there's a reason quite obvious to me that someone might remove it. but certainly not for a violation of the code of conduct.

I'm sorry I thought the "proof" that Ares posted was that there was a quote where a "but" and a "and" were switched around. That's why I thought the wording was changed.

Guys, I fear that this is just going to get into something even worse than it already is. We're just accusing people of things with nothing coming of it other than more problems. Let's wait for word from people that can actually give us answers, such as sysops, and then go from there. I know people have suspicions and they're welcome to them, but let's focus on the hunt for now and wait for the information to come in later. How's that sound?

someone was accused of editing a post, someone was accused of deleting a post. it was a direct accusation but it was nonetheless.

I did not see that post refer to a deleted post of bears. I don't think the wording was "along with that post" that I remember of. It only stated that he was removed from cooler times board. At least that is the way I remember it.

Two different things, mrmikey. It's confusing, but right now the moderators are concentrating more on who edited me without discussing it with the others or with me.

I tend to think the issue about redbears post is much more important, as it resulted in a cooler member leaving our ranks and many other problems.

Editing posts is wrong and all, but I haven't really seen anything negative happen to the degree that happened after the phantom post.

I'm just trying to get the facts out as I know them.

We would like to thank OT for bringing this issue to our attention. We want to be clear that she, in no way, posted anything that was against our Code of Conduct.

The moderator that made the edit has admitted to doing so.

The moderators had agreed previously that no posts be edited or removed without input from the other moderators, unless there was a compelling reason to do so. The compelling reason for doing so would need to be extremes. An example would be the posting of pornographic material.

The person responsible for editing OTs post did not abide by the agreement made regarding the editing of posts and has removed himself as moderator.

We are all sorry and regret that this has occurred

You can't just go around editing peoples posts, even if they piss you off. It doesn't matter what was being said. I shoudn't have allowed my personal feelings on the matter to affect my choice in how I dealt with the situation.
