Good point, CM

I've sometimes wondered if it's a good thing or a bad thing when they know your name at the bank.

You'd think they could have an HSA account without a $20 yearly fee. Regular checking is free, so WTH!

oh good one for yah Mikey.... tried to pay my doctor the other day with the HSA debit visa card.... dr doesnt take anything but cash or check. (I've had this dr for 16 yrs and they are prominant with all of the local hospitals) the HSA never gave us checks so now I have to call them. I can write the dr a check out of my own checking account and eventually get rembursed by HSA as long as I prove it. I NEED MY $$$ - who has money to advance like that!?! grrrrrrr

Dear Kitch,

I know the feeling of Cloud 9 and higher :sheepish:

but what exactly is the original concept of Cloud 9?

me2

this was kinda what I was looking for, but wonder how it can be as high as 39. hmmmmmmmmmmm

Level Nine was the very highest cumulonimbus, which can reach 30,000 or 40,000 feet and appear as glorious white mountains in the sky. So if you were on cloud nine you were at the very peak of existence.

The term has always had close associations with the euphoria that is induced by certain chemicals — alcohol in its earlier days but more recently crack cocaine

Not sure now that I think about it though.

I called the Santa hotline and it sounded like there were two different spots to see Santa this year. Did you go to the Polar Express place Kitch? Otherwise I think the reserved Santa is different from the regular one. Paid by the photo studio instead of the mall itself.

?

Ok, so we go to that MOA Santa every year. The one in Cluey's picture.....

So now I am really confused, I have an appointment from that place and the picture there shows that the Santa we have always gone to is doing the appointment thing...and the main mall Santa is the one in OT's picture....

Can anyone confirm this so we make sure we go see the RIGHT guy??

That's what this whole conversation is about PM. I'm not making the trek unless it's the real guy. I know you feel the same way as do many others. It does make a difference.

OMG, you guys crack me me up! I'm loving the debate on which is the real Santa! There are over 30 posts about about if its the real Santa or not. lol I mean this in a good way, byw. I understand tradition and all that. I'm just getting such a kick out of you guys talking about the "real Santa".

Here, let me get you back on track.

"Dear Editor--I am 8 years old.

"Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus.

"Papa says, 'If you see it in The Sun, it's so.'

"Please tell me the truth, is there a Santa Claus?

                              Virginia O'Hanlon

                              115 West Ninety-fifth Street

Virginia, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the scepticism of a sceptical age. They do not believe except they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men's or children's are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus! It would be as dreary as if there were no Virginias. There would be no child-like faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.

Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if you did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.

You tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, Virginia, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.

No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.

I think when you see this guy...you know its the 100% real thing...there is no doubt about it...

you can't fool me...

You might as well not believe in fairies!

I've stood in line with my grandkids a couple of times and he is amazing. Takes so much time with each child. But I am kind of loving the look of Santa #2.

I was on the phone with Abby and reading some of the posts about "real Santa" and we were both laughing at how serious everyone was. She reminded me of how even with their beards half off and their black eyebrows, she always thought whichever Santa she was seeing was the "real Santa". I told her that when I was little and went to see the Easter Bunny, I still thought he was the Easter Bunny even when I could see his face through the cut out eyes in his head piece. You have to love the blind faith of children.

The REAL SANTA who has been at the mall for years is now located in the Professor Bellows studio and is by Appoinment only.

They got the new santa who now sets up shop in the middle of the mall and does the walk ins and the lovely line you are used to.

SO if you are looking for the REAL SANTA make an appointment!!!!! http://santa.professorbellows.com/

I thought you DID make an appointment Kitch?

Or did you go to the walk-in Santa since you thought he was the only one and you didn't need to say you had an appointment anyway since it was dead?

Thanks for checking PM. Monday @ 7 would prolly work for us too. Maybe b4 or after you guys.
