Everything has been filled out for some time now. Will get picture and file for our passports either today or early next week. I can't put it off any longer. I wanna go go go....
Close the schools, the grocery stores get emptied of batteries and water, it's a zoo at Home Depot with people buying plywood right off the semis in the parking lots. Then, when everything is boarded up, we all sat around waiting for the storm drinking Hurricanes..........made all the prep worthwhile.

hmmmm, thanks for the info. I would think there is a trick in there for the tricks of the wealthy. Like give 10 grand to each grandchild every year and have that deducted from your income to pay less in taxes or something like that. Like a gift tax would be different than paying income tax on it.
If someone says on record (to a policeman) they have done a drug at a certain event or time can they be arrested on the spot for saying they did even though they are drug free at the moment? I suppose you have to have it in your system at the time of arrest?
I would assume that it still comes down to proof. I could tell a cop that I killed Kennedy while I was on meth and later changed my mind. He would have needed me to be under oath or nothing would stand without proof. There's tons of convicts that are released from prison that confess to crimes they didn't commit just to get back to the comfort of their room and 3 squares. But when there is no proof to substantiate it they're let loose to actually commit a crime so they can return.
But even saying something under oath that's user related would never float anyway. Unless it was tied to a related crime.
just wondering how a rock singer or rapper can sing about the "high life" and be exact in where and who they did the drugs with - but not get arrested. They make it sound like its alright to break the law. I'm sure there is a 5th ammendment right in there somewhere that they can say what they want no matter the damage. No different than someone getting pulled over and saying they got high last week.
So if I take a drug test for a job and I fail, can I be arrested for having something in my system?
1) there are first amendment issues for performers (technically, anyone)
2) there's still a statue of limitations
3) the real "crime" isn't in using as much as it is in distribution and the crimes associated in feeding one's addiction. which is sad considering that for a lot of addicts it almost takes an act of god for them to be forced into treatment.
4) technically, in order for a cop to make an arrest there either has to be a warrant or the cop has to actually witness the crime occur.

The gift-giver pays any income tax (if applicable) and the giftee pays no tax, is the way I understand it.
It is best to keep it somewhat under $13,000 to allow for other gifts that might be given that year - birthday, holidays, etc.
I'm sure there is more info somewhere, but I knew about this part of the gift-giving tax laws, so thought I'd pass it on as a starting point.
