That's sort of like living across the street from school when you are a kid.

apple valley to mounds view = 35 miles. hell i walk nearly a half a mile from the parking ramp to my cube every day. (how far is it from the d12/f12 pillars in the ramp to the cubes between the stairwells in the south building, cm?)

What floor? That's a huge haul. At least most of it is indoors anyway. I always wondered why the execs weren't able to pick the north building to set up shop just because of that long walk between the buildings.

Yeah, that 1/2 mile assumption is probably a bit conservative. That's a big place.

Hey Kitch, since I know you have been in the business of tracking people down, I'm wondering if I could track down any information on my old boss.

It's a weird and long story, but granted I have no good way to contact him anymore, and don't think anyone else can either.. just curious as to his current whereabouts. I know he owed the IRS and various vendors a ton of money and the IRS had been actively tracking him down (btw where does the IRS send you if you can't pay your debt?). If he is incarcerated in any form, it would be really nice to know.

Are there any good websites I could look through? About all the information I have is his personal website, business website, last known address in Maine and a cell number that works, but only goes to voicemail. Maybe some other tidbits is all.

I agree with 3M.. Where is Kitch these days?

I'm missing all my local information on the forums lately.... Is nothing happening around town, or have people just stopped spreading the information?

He sent me an e-mail yesterday letting me know I spammed him somehow.

Somehow, my e-mail list was hit and spam mail sent out :frown:

I cleared out my e-mails last week (over 1000), deleting and un-subscribing. Somehow one that I must have un-subscribed to must have sent e-mails out. Sorry to those of you who got one. I have no clue which place could have done it.

Dear Kitch, how does this happen?

I don't get why Norton or Microsoft didn't catch it.

Don't "unsuscribe". That just validates the email addy. If you don't want it anymore block it.

this is getting annoying.

Block a Sender in Gmail

To have Gmail send messages from a specific sender to the Trash automatically:

•Follow the Create a filter link (at the top of any Gmail mailbox, near the search buttons).

•Type the desired email address under From:.

•You can block an entire domain by entering just that. To block all mail from both natsuko@example.com and pjotr@example.com, type "@example.com".

•To block more than one address, separate them with "|" (the vertical bar; typically above the backslash on the keyboard; not including the quotation marks). You can block both natsuko@example.com and pjotr@example.com by typing "natsuko@example.com|pjotr@example.com", for example.

•Click Next Step ».

•Make sure Delete it is checked under Choose action.

•Click Create Filter.

•Check Also apply filter to __ conversations below to delete previously received messages.

To archive and label instead of delete messages, choose Skip the Inbox (Archive it) and Apply the label: under Choose action when setting up the filter

I did the best I could - I'd like to know if anyone continues to get them after today.

I spent hours and a few days trying to clear out the account of all e-mails and my mailing list.

I cannot delete a MASTER AOL account ~ I went in and tried.

I deleted the master list though so let me know if you or anyone else get it again - then I can't do anything about it because someone out there stole the list and the account probably doesn't matter anymore.

I've told people to just block the e-mail address but hopefully that won't matter after yesterday since I deleted the master list.

- I'm sorry to those of you that are seriously annoyed.

I had that account since 1993 without an issue til now.

Need some search websites for ONE new credit card account...

I've had one card my entire life - a couple months ago my mailed-in-check suspiciously did not get deposited 'til about 10 days late and they jacked up the interest.

I don't give a damn about perks, just a steady low interest rate. My junk mail is screened out so the only card apps I've seen were from Citibank at 12.5%.

One way to prevent late payments from happening is to have a CC that you can directly transfer funds from your checking account. The payment is always credited immediately.

me2

I go directly to the webpage and pay mine so I know the exact moment it's paid.

I'm curious what people have out there for rates.

anyone want to chime in with what rate you have and how you have it?

I'd suggest a home equity line of credit visa - heh

really low 4% rate. that should build you some credit over the next 2-3 months til stuff is done  - just go to the bank your mortgage is through.

um, if that is really not possible.... tri citibank or capitolone

I'm locked in to a 8.99% with C1

but I've only heard and seen people getting minimum 12% with great credit and as high as 27% of someone I know- YIKES! (NOT ME).

After it happened I immediately switched to online payments - but the quickest way to get rid of the debt is the credit card shuffle and transfer it over to another. 30% interest is insane. I get visions of DeNiro behind a desk sayin' "You got a problem with that?"

Dear Kitch,

I get calls from this Amsher Collection Services.

It's just a recording to call them.

I don't have anything that should be in collections and I read online that this company is a scam and in most cases they don't tell you what you really owe for and just try to get a cc# from you.

What do you personally know about this company or this type of collection service scam?

I really think that , bottom line, I would recommend a Garmin brand mainly because of their excellent customer service. I accidentally deleted the map on mine......don't ask........and a call to their CS desk had it restored at no charge in about 5 minutes. They really know what they are doing.

Hey Kitch!

My friends were in Minneapolis Last weekend and stopped at the Famous Dave's Fest at Peavey Plaza. Rumor has it they were in the broadcast that night on Channel Five News Saturday night at six.

Is there a way to find that footage?
