It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
Dave
Yeah its been found, only 14+ inches of snow on the ground with 4 more inches coming tonite, not to mention the fact that I have been to 4 big parks now and only saw a total of 1 person looking. Morons, if you think it could possibly be found before #8!
Hi Vicki! Spent some time looking back at clues for old hunts, after the 4th clue you can usually narrow the search to 2-3 parks, hopefully tonite will fall in with past clues. The fifth clue will usually be enough to clue in those that are really on their sh*t. So everybody get those shovels and rakes and hoes by the front door, cause we're a day away from diggin up the city!
hwy 5 does not intersect with Battle Creek, sorry try again. The streets that encompass BattleCreek are: mcknight rd,upperafton rd, winthrop st, lowerafton rd and BattleCreek Rd. Its like two blocks from 94 though. Highland is off from West 7th st and 35E, and West 7th is hwy 5, or at least it turns into 5 as it merges with 494
I think the flying might have to do with the St. Paul airport, which is visible from mounds park. And there is a big sledding hill there for outdoor popular attraction.
Yeah, I noticed that earlier too. They do come close to meeting outside downtown near Mounds Park and Swede Hollow Park on my map. But I really think they want the nine & five to go with keeping score and the four to adorn a front door, they would be consistent with past clue writing that was sensible like that.
Pretty sure numbers nine(refers to baseball/softball field) and five(refers to basketball court). Then a Four would be within view, maybe an address on a house(like 4 S. Owasso), maybe a big 4 on a building(like firestation #4 or channel 4,etc.), maybe at the entrance to a park, etc.

Wayne what do you think the numbers mean?? My thought is the nine is representative of the 9-hole course at Highland and the five represents Highway 5. As for the four???????????????/
Tonight's clue should really limit the number of parks it could be in, unless it is in a small park. In that case they will not reveal the park until later in the clues.
Newell is such a strongv possibility still. It just makes sense so far. Someone tell me about this slide at Como is it for real? What is it? How big is it?.....details, details, details, I need em. Clue #2 warns not to get too close to the action of the flying downhill(sledding) if this is a big carnival thing they could be specifically referring to it. Newell is the closest park to Como also. I take Clue #1 as maybe saying you ARE at the wrong scene period if you are near a golf course. And newell has basketball court and softball field. Since it is Pioneer Press 150th Anniversary, it was at Newell 15 years ago and Taylor street runs right into Newell, and Taylor was our president 150 years ago, ya never know! :)

Hi Dave! I totally agree with you! Won't be found for a little while!
I have a feeling it is going to be in a small park. Hasn't been in a small one for a few years.

I'm excited for the next clue
The next clue better be a helpful one. That is all I have to say.
Vicki, were you at McGovern's on Sat. ??

why did they say get them "right""shout"....that don't rhyme with anything
ADORN ... definition.... to be an ornament; to add beauty, to put decoration on
think decoration of #4

adorn and #4 i think go together
The word ADORN really catches my eye as well. Not a word used in everyday conversation.
Are you people really thinking its at newell park?
OHHH, and No One lose this address given out earlier by BARTON FINK, Very, Very, Very handy resource!!! http://www.friendsoftheparks.org/parksearch.htm
I don't think it is at Newell. Not a possibility.
So kicking the fire out.
I was for a shake Ian.....why?
Thank you Brian....me neither.
Where are you thinking early on?
You want to know what i think? any one?
It is really hard to say right now. Best outlook right now is probably Highland. But I haven't ruled out Mounds or Battle Creek. How about yourself?
hay dave, do you know suzi by chance? (could be the wrong Dave)
What are you thinking Wayne?
what do you think commando?
Brian--For some strange reason I am going with Phalen early on....
Why do you think Highland?
Question for everyone?? Is there a golf course in the park or not?? The clue really does not say.
I think so...otherwise why would they be so direct in telling everyone to stay off?
Numbers is books in the bible and they all pertain to laws far fetch maybe but the base ball thing is old hack
yes, a golf course in the area, just stay away from it.
what does the bible have to do with parks?
have no clue what park it's at

Step, why are you leaning towards Phalen?
"figure it out" maybe the medalion is in an action figure?
also in the masses of number you have law makers thats what make me belive its in the capital park again
it also made reference to the word action right?
Bryan--I don't really know, I just think the clues fit it well...but they fit highland well too...I'm confused...need more clues.
Hasn't been at Capitol park in ten years.
any thoughts about frisbee golf at HP rather than regular golf
no--I think it means regular golf.

do you think they would tell you its in a park with a golf course right away remember its their game
