It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
Yeah, the numbers could be on a scoreboard. They can represent actual numbers that can be seen on signs, buildings, scoreboards, etc. Or it can represent other things, like a 9-hole golf course, 5-on-5 basketball, 4 tennis courts, etc. Its hard to say at this point...
Steve, shout rhymes with out. And its still worthwhile to go out looking at places, even with the clues. You might find a spot that can satisfy the clues, and the sooner you dig, the more area you can cover...
I went to the website looking for a map, but it just tells you what things are at the park and how to get there, but if anyone knows where there is a site to jump on to get a map I would GREATLY appreciate it!
Melissa, you can find maps of the parks, but it will just tell you where the parks are. I haven't found anything that tells you where things are within the park...
They're not coordinates. In keeping score for baseball, 9=right fielder, 4=2nd baseman, and 5=third baseman. I highly doubt that is what the clue is relating to...
This partner of mine had one of Cherokee park last year, but for the life of me I can't remeber where he got it. It told you where the sliding hill was and everything around it!
Dont try and read to much into the clue for it to make sense for yourself, because they are related a lot closer than we can come up with right now. It isnt saying 9 players,......................... It is more closely related
Yeah, it could be a hockey arena. The problem is that numbers are used in scoring for practically everything: hockey, golf, football, basketball, baseball, etc.
Heck Melissa, its best to at least wait until 11:30 tonight before you go out, at least for now. The next clue should give more info on where it is....
Don't you think that if it had anything to do with KS95 they would have some sort of promo or at least mention the medallion hunt, could they use something like that...It is a local business
I was wondering the same thing, but I think they have had it in a Skoal tin and a White Castle box before. They wouldn't advertise with KS95 though. People would make the connection and look for only KS95 stuff.
oh where did you get this list??

www.friendsoftheparks.org Did you think that I made it up ;)
So, what you all are saying is that you don't have a "clue", like me. There never seems to be any reason to go digging until clue #8.
I think that the GC and bball court and tennis courts is a stretch but who knows I agree with the KS95 theory
last sentance clue 3 shout doesnt ryme any thoughts
See that's what I was thinking, cause scoreboards keep score?!
www.friendsofthepark.org thatll tell ya all you need to know about most of the parks in st paul:)
No I was just wondering where you got the list of things like that in St. Paul, I believed you, I was just wondering where it was
I think that the KS95 thing might be a little out there, but who knows!
Steve, shout rhymes with out. And its still worthwhile to go out looking at places, even with the clues. You might find a spot that can satisfy the clues, and the sooner you dig, the more area you can cover...

because of the 4 thing I think it is KS95, I think that all of the numbers relate to each other and not a GC, bball court, and tennis court
Melissa, you can find maps of the parks, but it will just tell you where the parks are. I haven't found anything that tells you where things are within the park...
one guy said something earlier about those being like coordinates on a baseball field?????
They're not coordinates. In keeping score for baseball, 9=right fielder, 4=2nd baseman, and 5=third baseman. I highly doubt that is what the clue is relating to...
9 players on a baseball team, 5 players on a basketball team, 4 golfers in a foursome.... what'ya think??? anyone??
This partner of mine had one of Cherokee park last year, but for the life of me I can't remeber where he got it. It told you where the sliding hill was and everything around it!
Fever, yeah to everything but the golfing part. There is no real set team or number for golf. It can vary, so thats a stretch...
Dont try and read to much into the clue for it to make sense for yourself, because they are related a lot closer than we can come up with right now. It isnt saying 9 players,......................... It is more closely related
My personal thoughts are, it talks about keeping score, what about a hockey area?
What are the dimensions of the medalion? How large/small is it? If someone could compare it to something I would appreciate it.
What ever the case I wouldn't be suprised if it was hidden in a math book! LOL
Maybe it is in a math book LOL
So what parks is everyone kinda leaning to. I can't get out until Thursday so I am praying that no one finds it before than.
Yeah, it could be a hockey arena. The problem is that numbers are used in scoring for practically everything: hockey, golf, football, basketball, baseball, etc.
SOMEONE EARLIER MENTIONED THAT CLUE THREE IS (TRADITIONALLY) THE CLUE THAT TELLS WHAT MED IS IN.....
NOT TRUE
1998 CLUE NO 7 1997 CLUE NO 2 1996 CLUE NO 2 1995 CLUE NO 1 1994 CLUE NO 3 1993 CLUE NO 3 1992 CLUE NO 2 1991 CLUE NO 2 ETC ETC
BUT IT DOES SHOW MOST ARE IN THE FIRST THREE BUT YOU NEVER KNOW
TONITE WE WENT TO COMO PARK AND PHALEN WE SAW 4 PEOPLE DIGGIN!!!
WHERE IS EVERYONE
Wouldn't that be a treat. So far they have used numbers in 2 clues. Nil = 0 and 9,5,4...They are a clever bunch!
yeah that ks95 is looking good to me.....
I thought about braving it but I don't know where to go.
I hear ya horndog
I agree with you about the KS95 thing to
Heck Melissa, its best to at least wait until 11:30 tonight before you go out, at least for now. The next clue should give more info on where it is....

does clue 3 usually tell what the coin is hidden in if so I like the math book. I cant believe they would give you a door # this early in the game.
If I didn't have work tomorrow or this week for that matter I would buy a laptop and live outside searchin for the dang thing.
I was wondering the same thing, but I think they have had it in a Skoal tin and a White Castle box before. They wouldn't advertise with KS95 though. People would make the connection and look for only KS95 stuff.
Maybe it has something to do with like working from 9 to 5, a dolly parton cassette case : ) LOL
good point, i didn't think about that I guess I am having brain fuzz
what time do the new clues come out?
11:30 tonite
I JUST WENT INTO KS95 INFO AND NO MENTION OF EVEN SUPPORTING THIS EVENT....I REALLY THINK WERE NOT THINKING ON THE RIGHT TRACK..
I DONT BELIEVE THEY WOULD HIDE SOMETHING IN KS95 ATTIRE BECAUSE THE WINTER CARNIVAL IS SPONSORING...NOT KS95
the coin has been in everthing from a diaper to frozen milk I have the list
Okay, back from HP, does anyone know what precinct number the HP police station is?
Well I have poke arond and having some coffee now
